These manly hands
have held another
image itched in eternal stone
looked on by an admirer
running through crowds:
feeling so lost and so alone!
Nothing too beautiful lasts quite a while,
it has the fragility of a delicate, perfumed rose
soon to be snatched by a lover of ardent prose...
ready to conquer the wild eyes of sapphire!
Any poet staring at that joyful, serene face
would write amorous verses that'll endure time,
even a painter wouldn't hide such a fine grace:
poetry and paintings carry souls into the sublime!
Nothing too beautiful lasts quite a while,
if beauty is a display of delight to anyone:
we must preserve its image from forgetfulness!
not allowing it to fade away from self-awareness.

Sometimes when I look into a mirror…the image surprises me.
On the one hand I’m sure the image I am looking at is me…
But if I look a little closer I also see a hologram
a visual representation of everything I am…
I am the Earth, the sky, the oceans…the mountain and the trees
I am every animal that ever existed…I am butterflies and bees.
I am all the colors of the rainbow…sometimes I am black or white…
the more I look the more I realize…I’m quite a pretty sight.
I am a man and I am a woman…I’m also L G B T and Q….
And if you stopped to take a closer look you’d realize…
so are you.
The next time you’re near a mirror…look closely at your image and you’ll see
how you are but one part of everything around you…of one Earth family.
When you do…you begin to see yourself in a different…diverse light…
and the more you look the more you realize…you’re quiet a pretty sight.
You begin to see you’re not just you…but together you’re so much more…
and how…in this light you are even more beautiful
than you thought you were before.

Two young wrens sat on a wire side by side.
Then one bird stretched her wings ever so wide.
The other bird grabbed the tip of her wing,
And she began to scream, poor little thing.
Pulling much harder, he wouldn't let her go,
But lost his grip when she moved to and fro.
Angered and miffed, she flew to a small branch.
He chirped his regrets to beg a next chance.
And the following day, she did just that...
He began to walk, she began to trail
Close enough to yank some feathers from his tail.

et·y·mo·log·i·cal
adjective
relating to the origin and historical development of words and their meanings:
"an etymological dictionary" · "the etymological roots of the word are of interest."
I earned a name quite a few years ago.
The name is Adam Barha.
I do not even know if that has incurred a spelling mistake or not.
But it is truly the noun, proper enough, not the adjective.

I bought loads of fruit with my chums
But I was all fingers and thumbs
I went all shades of red
When I dropped some and said
Hey lady, would you grab my plums?

A girl I once knew was quite a sensation
Her love of make-up was a fascination
She painted her lips
Massaging her hips
Loving nothing more than lively flirtation.

I know how to party,
On Friday nights, really,
I have crocheting, you see,
A stash of yarn, and coffee,
I'd say that's quite a party,
Hope all the crafters agree!

I once met a girl wearing fuzzy socks
Overtop she wore those polka-dot crocs
She was hardly a catch
For me not quite a match
Although I did like her pretty blue frocks.

Executive orders signing spree
Quite a start for old JB
Killed off the jobs of myriad employees
Put a chokehold on the oil industry
But in the name of his pitch for unity
Lets look at JB's orders with impunity
Rejoining the 2015 Paris 'dialogue-ees'
He's eased up on our good friends, the Chinese
Plus he's helped so many radicals smile with glee
Like Ms. Omer, Ms. Tlieb, Bernie and AOC
Not to mention old pros like Schumer and Pelosi
Now on to re-engage Iran, Obama's lose-lose strategy
Canceling rents and student loans in late February

Sonnet 18 – Well, kind of...
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
I said sunscreen would have stopped you burning.
Thou art more lovely and more temperate,
but at times, sorry, just so damn messy.
By thy eternal summer shall not fade,
unless that rain comes back and scuppers it.
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
one day I’ll write a sonnet properly.

Oh foxiesloxly gruntbuggly
grembling against langnekly
that diddly de facto fladerits
He held up a haggyerlly paw
halinly the anturazh
they hoofit their lurgidus paws
schelepping and yanking violently, cursing the door
