Leave Me At Right Time

In this world of selfish people
Will you be mine someone special
No, I am not purposing you
I just want to know reason of you
No, I didn't want someone to make me smile
But I want you to hold when I am crying

I know for me love is in Gen Y
But I feel you are my type
I know you can make me fine
I know you are behind
And I know you can't be mine
And you will go at a wrong time
That's why you can't be mine

I wish you can understand me
I wish you can stop me
I wish I can hold you
But you can't be mine
SO just leave me at right time
To make things run for a long time
No I am not weeping , NO I am not lying
I AM just healing
As I know you can't be mine

Good Riddance For Good Distance

Blasts of Dorcas for what she’d done
And for thinking that she had won:
For being the cause of what Ray did
And for treating him like a kid.

Off a scene, Magnus had thrice slid
To be of Dorcas’ presence rid
His flat rejection of her hid,
His firm plans now: to waste The Seed
And get lost like a child’s bead
The clumsiest of Quick Farewell bid
While leaving not halt at a mid

Magnus’ way he’d find without grid,
Happy to have dared this one deed
Purposing Dorcas good riddance
And keeping at a good distance.

Premium MemberCremation

I stay close to home these days,
my roaming needs seeming to
expire with age, finding more
of what I need in the Silence
of packing; of course, this
worn-out body is far too cumbersome
to even contemplate wanting – like
frayed clothing, now best for rags;
like empty cans for the recyclable:
I wonder how Earth will handle
my re-purposing?~as for my poetry,
will my works know future lips? Be
Whispered and sung, inspiring others
fancying fireside light and chat, within
the warmth of flickering, yet mysterious
shadows? Or will my words, unceremoniously
settle like bird droppings on tombstones,
surrounded by laurels of weeds, a forgotten
chapter? That settles it, I will opt for cremation!
Leaving tombstones and graves for
most politicians, TV Evangelists, and
Movie-stars, needing their world
monuments where the Devil will
easily find them for substantive
reunions....

Premium MemberDeath Tied Life

What lies waiting
at the end of a self-made
independently empowered
self-invested
"pulled my own economic-political bootstraps"
life?

A unilateral
linear life,
like any passionate journey,
requires an end point
for returning in the opposite direction;

In this lifeline
ego/eco-systemic case,
from regenerative
to degenerating autonomous powers.

What happens
at the end of an emergent spiral,
rainbow,
expanding circle,
oval,
deepening square
and swelling out reverse-triangular power frame,
irregular and mysterious polygon,
other than a renew beginning
into further rooted interdependence,
shadowing memory of where we have been
together before

Another re-cycling
re-purposing
dusk
become cumulative dawn.

Moses Prays For His People

Moses’ Prayer For His People

Lord give pardon to sinners this I ask of Thee
Do not wipe out this nation from Thy all stern sight
The world’s heathens will say that our waste was your goal
Thou called these stiff neck people out purposing graves?
And the heathen will say your intent was evil
Now the sacred held covenant claims vow in faith
Thus in deference yield to that oath do not scathe
Thou called these stiff neck people out purposing graves?
Let destruction not be for all those who curse Thee
Then God listened to Moses, repented in mind.
And forgave his bad people their evil conduct
God renewed his past covenant blessing instead

Kyrie Eleison

Anapest Pentameter

Lord have mercy on sinners this I ask now humbly of Thee.
Do not wipe out this nation from Thy all stern sight in your rage.
The Egyptians will say that our waste was your goal all can see.
Ye called these stiff neck people out purposing graves as their wage?
The Egyptians will say your intent was then evil this day.
Do not wipe out this nation from Thy all stern sight in your rage.
Let destruction not be for all those who curse seem as sure pay.
Ye called these stiff neck people out purposing graves as their wage?
For the patriarch's sacred held covenant claims vow in faith.
Do not wipe out this nation from Thy all stern sight in your rage.
Now in deference yield to that oath and all these do not scathe.
Ye called these stiff neck people out purposing graves as their wage?

A Dance In Winter

A dance lives in winter time.

The dance of pursuing life
struggling among the harshness of nature to live,
shivering in chilled days of snow and ice.

You can feel the cold,
   pressing in against your face,
drying out your lips as you lick them wet.

Your body aches and shudders in denial,
as you dress in layers upon layers of clothes
holding back the inescapable chill of frosty nights.

A cyclic round waltzing to the tango
repeating each morning rituals with the sun
as it appears rising just before the dawn.

It spins, it whirls and twirls throughout the day,
being a survivalists blending in this natural world
pursuing some secret call and purposing stance

simple as it is, winter comes to dance,
the dance and love of life as it survives
    the winter of our lives.

Premium MemberJohn Calvin - God's Man 1509-1564

John Calvin one I greatly admire
a man God set apart in His will
turning His mind and heart
and by His spirit full He did fill

This man once obedient to Rome
now transformed by Christ His king
for he was indeed God's man
purposing glory for God to bring

Although born a French man
he was to be Geneva's own son
reforming the Swiss capital by God's truth
the reformation really had begun

To be this man would be great
spreading forth God's gospel sound
impacting Europe for many centuries
but able to stay humbly heaven bound

To live and stay among such beauty
Switzerland is my favourite land
would feel so privileged and honoured
if God had made this His will to stand

AUTHOR NOTES:I am content to be who I am but if I could have been anyone
else in history it would be the great Geneva reformer John Calvin (1509-1564),
so thought I would write some thoughts on this hero of the faith.

The Jerk

The Jerk
Dr. James E. Martin
©May, 2013

Each morning he went to work,
Not purposing to be a jerk.
But some things will be
What they are, you see.
He nearly drove everyone berserk!
