I’ll scrape this mud off of my heels -
That’s caked from years of trudging.
And soak these wounds in orange peels -
To persuade scabs into budging.
This bar of soap, my sword of choice -
Will slay bruises that have haunted.
Replacing aches with citrus’ voice -
Who soothingly tunes the daunted.
This plunge of water, warm and welled -
Will calm my anxious weather.
And put to rest thoughts that rebelled -
As I bathe in crystal summer.
In the midst of life's flames,
Your inner strength will be forged.
The burning comes, a trial by fire,
Oh brave heart, don't let the flames fade.
For in the ashes, a phoenix lies,
Waiting to rise, with wings to the skies.
From the very flames that once brought pain.
Comes transformation, and a new reign.
So let the fire refine and purify,
Let it burn away the fears that made you cry,
For in the heart of the inferno's
Lies the power to rise and shine with new light.
You will rise, like phoenix born,
From the ashes, reborn, and renewed.
To soar on wings, with grace and poise,
A symbol of hope, in the darkest of joys.
In the blessed month of Ramadan,
We fast and pray to purify our soul,
But sometimes we forget the purpose,
And indulge in sins we shouldn't at all.
We think it's Satan tempting us,
But in truth, it's our own desire,
We're so used to these sinful acts,
That we forget they're a spiritual fire.
We starve ourselves all day long,
But we don't truly fast in our heart,
We continue to do what we're told not to,
And from our faith, we drift apart.
What's the point of all this struggle,
If we don't repent and turn back to Him?
We need to remind ourselves of our purpose,
And let our hearts be filled with faith again.
Let's use this holy month to reflect,
On the sins that we commit in our life,
And strive to become better Muslims,
To please Allah and avoid all strife.
HEAT
Burn the dross out of gold,
Refine and purify,
Until nothing common remains
To scorch the soul
Into a flame of anger
Or selfish desire.
Leave behind the foolish thought,
Then the gold of pure joy
And pure peace
Bring the sweet glow
Of pure love
To enrich the soul.

Lord purify my soul and make me whole. Take the stain imprinted in my heart and reveal to me the beauty of your majesty. Purify me and make me to become more like You. Hold me close in Your loving arms, and wash away my insecurities. Lord how I long to be free from my past that has haunted me. Continue to mold me like clay and shine Your heavenly light to show me the way. Wash me and make me new. Take anything out of me that is not of You, and purify my soul through and through. Take the old me and transform me how I'm supposed to be and open my eyes so I can see clearly.
From the gushing liquid I'm
Can't declare so pure in stain
Being believer O' God
Purify inside

allow the rain to pour down on you
let it not just wet your clothes
let it get down within your soul
allow it to purify
the hurt
the doubt
the fear
enjoy being drenched by the pouring rain
if you have to shed a tear or two
please do
they do not symbolize weakness
they cleanse
they restore
they revive
close your eyes and shroud yourself
in that moment
it is just you, your thoughts
and the pouring rain

Perhaps it wasn’t clear
Muddy streaks pollute the water
Purify as you stand within my aura
You got me at a loss for words
Perhaps I could have made it obvious
But no, that’s not my modus operandi
Now I’m sure you look at what I’ve wrote
Now tell me what you have to say
Too true, the rising sun could be you
The truth; I don’t want to be like the others
I won’t just insult you or try to take advantage
I can be your hero, just please say something to me.
