'purify'

allow the rain to pour down on you
let it not just wet your clothes 
let it get down within your soul 
allow it to purify 
the hurt 
the doubt 
the fear 
enjoy being drenched by the pouring rain

if you have to shed a tear or two 
please do 
they do not symbolize weakness 
they cleanse 
they restore 
they revive 

close your eyes and shroud yourself 
in that moment
it is just you, your thoughts 
and the pouring rain

What I had said was that combined with the smell of fresh rain after a dry period it is an utterly cleansing experience.
