Popcorn Silly
Popcorn salty, popcorn sweet
popcorn toffee, luxury treat
popcorn plain, popcorn simple
many sprouted me a pimple
Chew it slow, chew it safe
chew it fast, pull a face
make it last, make it linger
got one stuck on my finger
Hard kernels what I fear
bitten many, brought a tear
tum filled fillings - teeth now gone
popcorn has done me wrong
Popcorn never more I eat
upteen sits in dentist seat
new teeth, my gums await
soft foods always on my plate.

The musculature
is I am sure
somewhere in hiding
just waiting and biding its time
to amaze me.
She laughs at this and gives me a kiss
I pull a face as she pulls me closer
and
who needs a six pack
when I know she's
'got my back?'
I do like the colour pink though
although
blue is my favourite.
I also like curves that curve,
curves that make me do a
body swerve
and 'art deco's' not too bad
either although rather
angular
still
it takes all sorts
and that's what we all are.
IT.
Is it straight?
Well bend it send it
flip it to the right.
Lift it squash it
wrap it up all tight.
Roll it, control it
never lose your grip.
Mould it, shape it
have a little snip.
Shake it, don't break it.
It would scatter like the stars.
You wouldn't like the mess it makes
so take it home in jars.
Don't waste it or taste it.
Never pull a face.
Make it, take it
and put IT in it's place.
Eternal Breath
Each time I laugh out loud
I feel a little cloud
Because as my breath exhales from me
I hope it’s not lost in eternity.
When you pull a face you know
From your parents you did grow
We take on some of their ways
Be it from genes or length of days.
Is that smile from mum or dad?
Or the ancestors we had
Each one passed on their last breath
None really lost in death.
For the last breath that you breathe
Is the one that will not leave
I kissed you dad as you passed away
That tearful and such heartfelt day.
But dad as I kissed you
I inhaled your dying breath
But you know you live in me
It was not the end in death
Your last breath you did leave
I breathe it now and know
That when my time is here
My eternal breath will flow.
My dying breath I leave
For my sons their lives to lead
Each breath that we all take
Through each journey that we make.
From where our seed began
The birth of earthling man
That first created breath
Is eternal, not stilled by death.
