Premium Memberkoi fish swimming prowess

Her koi fish appear as cowhide
red and white instead of black and white
They swim around lily pads that have shaken off their frogs
I marvel at their swimming prowess
And the pink blossom of the lily pad

SOOTHED BY DEFEAT

My opinion is an option
Their preferences a mandate
Our midpoint an ambiguity
The victory tastes bitter
Only the failure feels better

I then call it an intriguing skin
They name it an awkward scene
The softer tissues on touch
An awful sensation in view
Hearing the rooster roaring

We all deserve no contempt
By integral effort attainable
For every purpose one intends
On the prowess one and all have
Leading all of us complacent

Afterwards evolves serial concerns
The triumph is like a strong poison
What this conquest by me?
The defeat is a solid medicine
Why should I surrender?

I ultimately subdue their sensations
As they intimately soothe my tissues
We share the devotion, not hostility
We act empathic without negligence
And the rooster keeps roaring

Premium MemberTwees Technology Prowess

Twee is new to our school, unhappy with her mother for moving her.
She is in first grade; it is the middle of January.
Her teacher stated how angry she is.
I picked her up for a talk.
She saw my sand and asked if she could play.
While she created sand creatures, she told me about her life.
I teased her a bit, and she had a sweet smile.

Twee told me that she has a new hover board.
She got it for Christmas – a rainbow monster hover board.
I asked her how high it went off the ground.
She said it did not leave the ground; this was new information.
She told me that Slenderman used to scare her.
He lived in her closet.
He did not come to the new house.

Twee informed me that she can speak bird.
She made bird noises.
I told her that I speak dog. I barked.
She shook her head “no”.
Then she told me “I make U-tube videos”.
I asked, “For your grandma?”
She said “No, for everybody.”
I asked her how she did it and she took me through it step by step.
If she is a typical seven-year-old, we are really getting high tech now!

Premium MemberEnvision Your Prowess

This is who I am; I achieve peace in simplicity.
No petulance in my kind heart but faithfulness.

This is who I am; I suppress sorrow from others.
And smiled notwithstanding my gentle sadness.

Also, love life, its sweetness, and its bitterness.
The lovely sky is all I desire, for my relish fullness.

And assign my life's rosy colors into poems.
I intone alike rare birds and dream over prowess.

Written Courage

Endurance upon the page
Edited with audacity
May these words persevere
To catch the right complacency

Written with courage
Erased with fierce endurance
May these words come to me
Fortified by my assurance

It is daring, to say the least
Like cool, calm heroism
May these words be my virtue
Extraordinary prowess in a prism

This here is my backbone
A skeleton of determination
May these words I share remain
Brazen-gold without citation

Written with full tenacity
Combining letters with gumption
These words are from me
To you, regardless of presumption

Premium MemberLion In Water

I am a lion in the water
A bird struggling in the mud
I'm a horse trapped in the stall
A spider's prelude before the web
A wolf pacing before the hunt
A snail climbing Everest

I am the energy that supersedes the deed
I am the champion of its release

I am the fastest
The strongest
The most industrious
Of all around me

For I know the secret of hesitation
The powerful build-up of intention

I am the moment of singular focus
The third eye that can see beyond the now

I am the goal
I am the athlete
To make it happen
In the moment

While I Stare

WHILE I STARE

While I stare at the deep of the earth
I tear from my eyes
Is this what He made it to be?
Were we all meant to live like this?

Guns became our toys
Breaking hearts became a thing of joy
Corruption became a hobby
and we've turned immorality into our Tommy

Now that I choose not to be part
they tag me, a daft
that I am dumb
for not wanting to be part of the smart ones

While I stare at the repulsiveness
instigated and done by the of the sons of men
Not even afraid anymore, we sleep and dine with them
and are forced to be close friends

Now, I am void of tears
What is the need to weep over what is dead?
I will try my best to revive them
Not cry over what will not be solved with tears.

I will save the few I can
So they also can stare from afar
and thank Him for our lives;
the lives of positive influencers.

Villanelle: Not the Mind nor Soul but the Body’s prowess

Not the mind nor soul but the body’s prowess
What stands out must crown man’s vanity made bold
So what counts must make nations blazing success

Usury stocks and shares that banks re-possess
Wars in foreign lands paid for with oil and gold
Not the mind nor soul but the body’s prowess

Win the match by whatever means or duress
Let match light like match in meadows manifold
So what counts must make nations blazing success

Must earth at receiving end turn to a mess
Yin acted upon by Yang brings forth fresh world
Not the mind nor soul but the body’s prowess

Batsmen face fast balls or those spun nonetheless
Ton-up signals the century bought and sold
So what counts must make nations blazing success

Batter the mother who will the goddess bless
Dark suns look down upon a world long gone cold
Not the mind nor soul but the body’s prowess
So what counts must make nations blazing success

Romney and Obama, two Presidential candidates
to win the White House, must be too savvy in debates.

Premium MemberMoon's Prowess

Here is the full moon
Proudly displaying its grace
Please meet me outside
It calls me, in dignity
Its crazy voice calling me

Now I follow it
The commands that exclaim out
I enjoy the moon
And all its wondrous exploits
Pleasure to behold at night

Clouds come to meet it
Covering over a scared voice
It pleads not to be
Inadvertently covered
A moment of complete rush

I fold my arms at
The full moon, proudly beaming
Through the weak and silent clouds
Showing its prowess throughout
The calm of the moon’s power
