Premium MemberForest Primeval

a leisurely stroll,
walking alone in the park,
I voice deep secrets -
thoughts that I have never shared -
with the forest primeval

verdant, sheltering,
it absorbs the unrevealed;
nature is opaque

Primeval Light

I seek the light, primeval,
the one I know
is not mine
because my prism light
does not lighten
my darkness...!

Premium Memberprimeval -

oh wrap me close dear jungle deep, with fronds and fruits entwined
          and hold me to your ancient emerald breast -
I long to hear those thrums within, the pulse of thickets vined
     and feel your misty essence fill my chest

oh let your warming whispers brush the tympans of my ears
          with sultry songs of woodland mysteries -
face-to-sky I'm pattered with your maze's torrid tears
     as heaven weeps your primal histories

your canopy, breeze-tickled, shakes its tresses high aloft
          to daub upon my cheek your orchid breath -
whisp'ring o'er the blooms and dells to shrug their shoulders, soft
     through tragic tangles worthy of Macbeth

your winding streams and waterfalls, your scents of sweet and spice
          sing songs of wooded wonder, rare and rife -
I pray aloud a blessing for this perfect paradise
     and all such spots divine, the blooms ... of life.

Afloat

The length of days
that stretches ahead

      promises me again
      a skyey breadth,

a watery and windy
primeval union

      of the Earth
      and the Sky.

In their dark depths
and heady heights,

      there I swim,
      there I fly.

Primeval Pixies

I`ve seen them dance with Dodos at dawn
and slide down curves of a mammoth's tusk
to swim in the midst of creation`s spawn,
then define the gloaming and name it dusk.

I`ve seen them skate on the scalp of pluto
and confirm that saturn's rings are of ice;
then suspect all planets like games of Cluedo:
The who dunnit query of who made life?

Premium MemberPrimeval Drive

A seed is sown, begins life impromptu,
with nurture from our rich and fertile Earth.
It sprouts with life to make a grand debut;
pursues a plan for fullness, height, and girth.

A sapling soon, unhindered at the start,
limbs stretching up and out with room to spare,
to soon become a complex work of art
enmeshed and blended with the others there.

From seed to sapling, to a full-bloomed tree,
in spite of brush and weeds, it will expand
and push ahead to full maturity;
from seed to tree, progression makes a stand.

The wonder of all life's primeval drive;
create and grow, expand, fulfill, survive.

In Primeval Wood

Surrounded in primeval wood,
In awe of fern, and flower--
I attempted to delay the night
By lengthening the hour.

That day might last a minute more,
Till my pondering was done--
Delaying, and for beauty's sake,
The setting of the sun.

Primeval Observation

Not solitude
But loneliness make sweet the harvest
Of God's attention
The sundering of rib and breast
The grand ovation
And then the sudden shift
To hide behind a leaf
The constant surging of eternal grief.

Primeval Eyes

...unseen otherwise,

        burn and chill primeval eyes

        between fire and ice...
