Presumptuously Poems | Examples

Perhaps

I’m sitting here alone
Wondering what my next thought might be
Perhaps I should write a poem, a workout, a diet?
Or perhaps, talk to someone in need?

Do I presumptuously seek them out?
Or do they seek me?
You never know the battle brewing inside
Perhaps it’s just part of humanity

So why do I focus so much on troubled thoughts?
Thoughts of suffering occur so easily
Am I the only one who feels this way?
Perhaps not - perhaps it’s my perspective and geography?

So when I write my thoughts on paper
I begin to see the internal workings of my mind
An introduction to my self-created narrative
Perhaps an awakening to the conflict that presides

So as I sit in the moment
Alone with all my thoughts – my life philosophy
I accept, I acknowledge these thoughts
Perhaps that’s the Truth that sets me free?

Premium MemberPresumptuously Daring

Love’s oft audacious and temerarious,
presumptuously daring, yet close to heart.
An adventurous, although precarious
journey, of self-discovery from the start.
Our attempts at love can be hilarious
for at times, we put the horse behind the cart.
But our egos soon learn honesty is best,
for to experience love, hearts must feel blessed.

Premium MemberPromiscuous Passions Pretense

Promiscuous passions pretense

Promiscuous passion puts on a pretense
as he pridefully tries to prove his physical prowess

Promiscuous passion presumptuously pursues prey
by projecting his powerful persona on the perfect person

Promiscuous passions asks would you dance with me please
as he pours profusely personal admiration along with the drink

Promiscuous passion persistently says you are so beautiful
but it's only a pretense to persuade her to provide permission

Promiscuous passion promises perpetual devotion proclaiming
permanence of passion as a possibility (but remember the pretense)

Promiscuous passions pretense provides positive proof so she falls for it
promptly providing privacy... so predictable.

Promiscuous passions pretense plan works perfectly mission complete so...
promiscuous passion promptly puts on his pants and parts ways permanently

Leaving the pitiful prey to ponder what happened and how to proceed with this perfectly predictable predicament.

Rank Has Its Priviledge

Rank Has Its Privilege (RHIP)

Privilege is preferred by a rank.
Privilege is gained by respect.
Privilege is profound depending on source.
Privilege provides a way of looking at things.
Privilege can be perturbing at times.
Privilege is great when it is a Presidential Order on gun control.
Privilege to live on His earth He provided was provided by God.
Privilege is comparatively a way of perceiving two or more objectives.
Privilege can be taken personally at times.
Privilege is politically expedient when fine tuned and objective.
Privilege taken out of place is sure to result in conflict.
Privilege should be result of exposing a purpose.
Privilege was not proposed to be taken lightly.
Privilege has a profile and characteristics that should be thoroughly understood.
Privilege when taken presumptuously should only be done cautiously.
Privilege to Trump is something that he will never understand.

Premium MemberHer Prey

she stalks her prey
a lioness gazes
presumptuously
searching to unveil
an unfound weakness
but the prey
formidable
a weakness
he shows not
being aware
of this stalk
and careful
of each move he makes
but the lioness
is patient up till
the arduous hunt
ends decisively
the prey weakened
lost direction
the lioness glances
she turns away
capture she wants not

My Timid Tigeress

Fire and ice
Paradoxes combine.
A battle. Fought tooth for tooth.
A truce held.
But still holds no truth.

A prisoner. Of pain and gore.
Of royal birth. But imprisoned by woe.
Satisfaction.a dire necessity,
Of the cruel and crude
Mundane mockery.

The jury. She decides.
Her majesty .So sedately revived.
Beauty. So invigorating.
Ravaged. And so very beaten.

Presumptuously, we surround and capture
Her copious territory,
In all its glory, almost divine.
Killing, mass murdering, and stabbing her.
Asphyxiated. She struggles to survive.

Serendipity .Such a marvelous delicacy.
So rare. And undefined.
Exquisitely .so gracefully.
She leads her mate. Amour in hand,
As she dances so playfully with venomous destiny.

A battle of blood, wit and more.
Tired, she wakes. Tired, she soars.
Through the sea of hate, malevolence and pain,
Through the bloody field,
Walking through hordes of heads, feet and stacked bones.

Nature, as violent as she may seem,
Neutral, loving...breathing pure felicity.
Ragged, and broken, torn and distraught,
With fervor she retreats,
And with fervor, shall she retort.

Oh, Land of the Free
You have presumptuously deemed yourself the mouthpiece and policy maker
Of the world
How overconfident
How impudent
Who makes you...
                          Oh, King of impertinence
Regulators of the human race...
The monarch of the agitated sea
Who are you to dictate MY household’s wishes?
As with the Roman Empire, your greed and moral deficiency IS your destruction
Your sins are hidden behind plaster, ramshackle, and termite-infested walls
You sit on your throne of deprecated morality
You twist your neck and roil your head in an idiomatic cistern of ethics
Oh, how those merchants whom seek shelter under your fiscal confidence...
Will wail and rip their outer garments, as they witness your
great
Collapse
Nevertheless, just like men whom seeks the warmth of a harlot’s bosom
They will easily turn their face to the next woman of ill-gotten gains

A Child

Truth and innocent is the heart of a child,
Unconditional love is given for awhile.
The world has yet to corrupt this mind,
The little ones are spared for a time seemingly kind.

Woeful ways not ingrained for it is not time,
There is much to experience and discerning of signs.
Knowledge is gathered and put into play,
It is kept to the fore and presumptuously displayed.

The ways of the world will soon take bounty,
The great masses will toil and be made lonely.
Who will uplift the child of want?
Provide for their needs, turn away not!
