Oh the humanity
the humanity
Oh spare me the grief
thy fake tears
woe is me, mentality
syrupy behaviour
Munchausen propensity
it sticks between my teeth
Oh spare me the pathos
ham acting baloney
Phoney and pathetic
pennyroyal tea fatigue
Histrionic vagaries
self righteous piety
Oh spare me the maudlin
attention seeking thievery
Drowning in poignancy
sentimental molasses
Throw yourself to the floor
overdosing in twee
Oh spare me forever
stomach churning violins
emotional instability
Wallowing in saccharine
exaggerated sob stories
But most of all
the absence of apology

pennyroyal festoon in full bloom —
her English garden plush.
he’s dying to imbibe.
she foresees a crime.
mint feint
tea taint
“sip up darl’n
have a cup
or two”
his purple lips,
pursed,
ready for the kill.
she smiles and winks
as he lies still.

Today, the suction method is used
A method some consider crude
Or even cruel, but it is excused
Because nothing is taboo
The practice goes back to ancient times
Where some cultures considered it a crime
Pennyroyal, soapwort, and sage
Were often used to disengage
And to bring to an abrupt end
That which cannot fend
Precious lives ending too soon
Before they can be sung a lullaby
Violently expelled from the womb
Before they can even cry

Unrelenting
Unrepenting
Disingenuous incensing
Broken promise
Faulty premise
Drunk with grandiose suggesting
All chaotic
Schizophrenic
Catatonic
Photogenic
Served with Pennyroyal tea
Pinched with acid hydrochloric
I'm the grain of salt that's taken
as my core is always shaken
I refuse to see I'm free
when my gifts return forsaken

There amongst the shadows,
a masterful elucidation
of melancholic glee.
While the winds of change
take hold of thee, for
the splendor and eyes
of every many.
For the gentle whore
whose troubles woe,
perchance a cup
of pennyroyal tea.
For upon the throne
of harlotry, a gentle
courtship, spoken
cordially a many
young man. . . "of
thee, plenty. . . ."
