Ivan Petrovich Pavlov 1849-1936

Of eleven children he was the first
and from an early age
for research had a thirst
his love of dogs was no surprise
highly regarded
he received the Nobel Prize
altho' no longer around
of all those that ever were
I clearly like the sound
as with food it goes so well
and if nothing else
the name 'Pavlov' rings a bell

Cinderella for the day

Cinderella for a day
her pavlov dogs barking
Long shanks meant for the shining,
hairline conquests prevail
Antibiotics for a Queen
the white path of riddance
Stupor by Rules
Hysterical outcomes
The all Mighty Sun
is streaming
hoping for the fog

Baton

Vague memories haunt me still,
they come whether sadness or thrill,
too often at the very worst time,
it rings in my head, a Pavlov chime,
some reactions are unrehearsed,
but at the same time I feel versed,
like a dark coffee my actions appear bold,
when in turn, inside I break and fold,
you, most of all, don't deserve this exposure,
twisted memories becoming my composer.

Yucatan Habanero

Traveling through the land,
I was told that I would receive hot food
once I reached the YUCATAN.
My taste buds are of fire
As the flame kisses my lips and tongue.
Oh Pavlov, can you see my salivation?
A fire that is sweet and warming.
Of course, the warming is fire
And the sweetness is the fire bringing on my passion.
Once I arrived I tasted you and it was of pure sweetness.
however, the sweetness was of my taste
As you were good
In the manner of a kiss from a Bella Senorita!
Still, you were not hot in the regard of what I expected.
I will love your taste forever.
however, you were not my fair Carolina!

The Karongos and the Akunos

I saw two couples
Exchanging notes in the wild
The Karongos and the Akunos
Leaning on the ecstatic decor
Natural picturesque
Reminiscent of the classic Machu Picchu befitting the buoyant love in the skies.

Shakespeare retired too soon
While authors of love
Were eating the marvels of nature.
Lend me his pen, before the ink dries. Ring the bells and call in Pavlov.
Come then for richness,
Now that it's found it the soul.
Just like the springs hide in the rocks but mine the fresh water.
Come Michelangelo too
Curve the words on the rocks.
The unsung lyrics for Solomon.
Let the chapter then read
The Akunos and Karongos
Untamed in the boughs!

Premium MemberPavlov's Dog

My girl is quite remarkable
When I slip out, she’s sound asleep.
When next, I turn the coffee on,
She’s motionless, in slumbers deep.

I open up my medicines
And make a racket with those pills,
But she’s still snoring on her bed,
She’s lying peaceful, ever still.

But when, with a distinctive ‘click’,
I open up her Apoquel,
I turn around; she’s sitting there.
All I can say is, “Bloody Hell!”

I don’t know how she manages
To go from sleeping like a log
To salivating at her bowl,
But Pavlov, that guy, knew his dogs!

Premium MemberSilent Alarm

A distant liquid drumbeat stirs the air
an aromatic call to hither come
sip the darkened rise of waking sun
soothe the prayerful hands of wakening.

Sizzling, the strips of breakfast rant
beside the wide eyed pair in silent trance
as Pavlov plays the strings of memory
warm feet dart quickly o’er cold floors.

The Cinematic Film Treatment as a stand alone element
in the aesthetic revolution we are now not witnessing

Non Sequitur - Script Excerpt

"Nyuk Nyuk" and "Whoop Whoop", two archetypal vagabond minstrels sing an ancient free-meter saga describing the political turmoil of the Pavlov basin Dogbone Kingdom and the pilgrimage of Bobby Molecule from oral tribalism to industrial culture in an immersive ambiance where anyone and anything can be "evidence".

N & W sing in falsetto to the rhythmic accompaniment of wooden matches being struck alight.

“He progressed clumsily unable to presume a pause
knowing that what is perceived always follows its cause”

(repeat ad nauseum)

Loyal Circuitry Plea

Mister Thought Police,
my twin electrodes agree
with your Mind Kontrol policy

It’s a laboratory disgrace,
that the free speech troublemakers
get to protest this way

Such a predestined malfunction fiber optic outrage

Ms. Chief of the Microchip Morality Division,
your prompt commands
are embedded deep
inside of my loyal neural circuitry

Every Hive authorized memory wipe decision
tightens the beta bands ~ Obedient oscillation wavelengths
don’t come robo cheap
Propaganda protocols are docile necessary

Mr. Automaton Dispatch Operator,
my artificial pump mechanism
has an ultra-jolt affinity
for your Pavlov call-response methods

Mind Kontrol orders are retinal scan template embraced

Unplug the free-think I.T. instigators,
who want chaos burst aneurysm
Queen emission insanity
will force a droning, self-destruct buzz

It’s a lobotomy shame,
that the non-programmed Grey Matter radicals
get to freely act this way

Miss Thought Police,
discourage any disloyal circuitry
This is my Mind Kontrol plea:

Thoroughly erase any freewill trace of cerebral cortex tampering

Daft Scarlet Sky

I saw her under a tall lilac tree
A piece of scarlet sky looking tipsy
Was the fervent look calling thee or me?
Whatever, I went to respond in glee

Alas it flew away on the top of
Calling me in gestures orange and mauve
A lovely she with eyes airy and suave
Should I? Flashed in the photo of Pavlov

Having lived with a cat
for the past six years--
I am thoroughly convinced
that both
Pavlov and his dog
were conditioned
by Pavlov's Cat....

Villanelle: The Dilemma of the Non-Violent – 25

Followers are made from day one in the womb
Not gods but by men in the full-length skirt
Pavlov mice all salivate stunned stark in tomb

Do not men in frocks drive terror promise doom
Those who heed not words they stuff into gods first
Followers are made from day one in the womb

Can honourable men raise gods from the tomb
Invite them back to earth slake believers’ thirst
Pavlov mice all salivate stunned stark in tomb

Who split their gods’ words plunge followers in gloom
Make dissenters fight staunch believers first
Followers are made from day one in the womb

Sexless men tear each other under own dome
Then order robot men to give up the ghost
Pavlov mice all salivate stunned stark in tomb

Who forbids men from praying under one dome
Don’t middle-men stoked by sybarite Sophist
Followers are made from day one in the womb
Pavlov mice all salivate stunned stark in tomb

COPLA 78 INVOCATION: This Bad Guy World

Recruit killers from the cradle
“Touches pas à mon Dieu! S’il te plaît!”
Crazed Pavlov mice

Curious holy books lie idle
Bits and pieces froth in mouths lay:
Rest lice in rice

Even if faiths feed best within ethnies
Holy writs and laws best divide them:
Make each Other

Some faiths lay claim to affinities
Yet each other slaughter and condemn:
Curse their mother

COPLA CUARENTA Y TRES: This Bad Guy World

No one’s to blame for being a dope
Nor for nursed beliefs from cradles:
Unless born Lords

Nor be blamed for sucking on dope
Nor for believing word riddles:
If told they’re God’s

Not what but where raised to believe
Born to parents in which country:
Pavlov rats all

If God loves and knows all who live
Why This World so unjust un-free:
His beck and call
