Mom said, "I’d no sex ‘til our wedding day",
Showing nuptial photo that first of May;
I was their cute ring bearer,
How could I believe in her,
But dad said, "We paid surrogate mom Kaye".

"A mother's love is made in heaven." Quote Written By Poet

She was a young and beautiful bride,
then her handsome husband died.
The fast car came out of nowhere,
there was nothing left but prayer.
Life was about to take her on a wild ride,
but she could not go and hide.
A precious baby girl was born,
she was told to be happy and do not mourn.
For now she is dressed in pink and is nameless,
lying in the hospital crib blameless.
Loving adopted parents would come,
and save her as she sucked her thumb.
Somethings can start out bad and end up good,
our new name is parenthood.

Wedding Top Mount Olympus

Daintiness gauges in the light
Harmonia illuminates the Hall
Aphrodite and Ares delighted
Cadmus finagles an approach
All of Olympus in observance.

Premium MemberIts June In January

My dad is a romantic. Mom passed away in April and ever since
he has extended the spectacular video, he made, of the love of his life.
The original was labeled “My June.” Now it is called, My Darling June.
No finer presentation could be made that captures a lifetime with music from his day. It begins with Till by Tom Jones. The song was so tied to my mom, that silly me, I thought the song was “My June.” Their wedding song’s June in January (yes, they were married that month) and many sad songs, no Hollywood star could have a greater love.

IT’s JUNE IN JANUARY

        “i love you”

‘to the moon and back’

   “more,” she said.

                heaven sent

she’s dazzling in her lovesong

    Dad’s one hour tribute

Premium MemberI Am Drawing My Wedding Cake

Some people lose their eyes.
Spiders fall from the sky.
I ate a green hotdog once.
My grandma’s dog poops green.
A giggle.
Two of them look to see if I am listening.
I pretend I am not.
That’s gross! Oooh! Yuck!
One falls off of his chair.
Two laugh.
I am drawing my wedding cake.
I am drawing MY wedding cake!
They kill everything in the world including animals.
First grade conversation as they draw in art class.

Letter From Parents To Son-In-Law

If parents were to write a letter to son-in-law what would they say?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Her laughter
like burbling waterfall
should gush down forever from within
Her trusting
nature like blowing winds
should trust endlessly without betray
Her dreams are
bright, tender like flowers.
Help her realize them. Don't crush them.
Her feelings
of love, serving like tree,
reciprocate with love and service.
Premium MemberWhen Harry Met Larry
His mother was extremely keen
He should marry a pretty colleen
But Harry met Larry
And they did not tarry
Their marriage it was not foreseen!
His girlfriend he was due to marry
But secretly Harry wed Larry
His mother went mad
And so did his dad
It’s a burden they have to carry
An Indian Girl's Fears
I couldn't sleep for the whole night,
as I can't get a side which is bright
I'm just thinking about all the stuff,
Will life become a lesson so tough?
There seems to come the last days with my  college mate,
Now, Will they start searching for my soul mate?
Oh Mom and Dad, you know that I don't want to get yet married,
Please don't make me feel that I'm a burden to be carried
I've a lot of dreams in my eyes,
I want to fly like a bird in the skies
There doesn't come a halt to my lines,
as all I'm facing is fears and lies
Please take away all these lies and fears,
As no more of it Ankita is able to bear.
Being Messenger of Words Between Baba and Mama
Greeting of the day
Is here to convey
The earnest recognition of affection
Directly from the heaven
Wrapped in his divine invisibility
Enclosed within her words
Sent towards you, to wish in bliss
What he remembers
What we remember
Happy Wedding Anniversary
Stop
What I say.
Don't do that! Put that down!
Stop acting up, stop playing the clown!
No you can't have cake, it's 7am!
Let go of the cat! I said put that down!
Why must you insist on eating stones?
No darling, you're not a dog.
Please put down the bone.
Stop running around and making a mess,
Oh my god! That's my wedding dress!
Just you wait until your father gets home!
Please don't dial 999 in the phone!
Please eat your carrots, broccoli and peas,
Oh sod it I'll cook you Toast and baked beans!
No! It's time for bath time and bed.
havent you listened to a word I've said?!
What I mean.
Calm down little monster, time's on your Side.
I'll start counting, you go and hide.
Have an adventure! Play make believe.
You be a dragon, I'll be the queen.
Why don't we get out the glitter and glue?
Let's make daddy a picture of the stars and moon.
It's time for bed now, rest your eyes.
I'll watch over you until you rise.
I don't mean to shout, I don't always say no.
But you're growing so quickly, it scares me so.
I'll try to be calmer, I'll try to say yes.
Just keep the crayons away from my wedding dress.
Or simply...
I love you.
50 Years Ago
Dear Mom and Dad
Our family is full of joy today
You’re celebrating 50 years together
The four of us just want to say
We thank you every day for helping us
Survive each sun and stormy weather
You’ve always given us a helping hand
With comfort or advice, you’ve always been there
For us, and never thought about it twice
Through thick and thin you’ve shared with us
Your experiences and wisdom, though we might
Not have understood or sometimes made a fuss
Today and always we must confess our love and devotion
Dear lord, we thank you for this day
And all the blessings you bestow
Upon this couple who were wed 50 years ago
Thank you Mom and Dad for this existence
We thank you here and now for your protection
We love you more than you will ever know
And will always thrive with your affection.
Anniversary
Today's the anniversary
Of when my parents wed,
But they're not here to celebrate
Since both of them are dead.
Their wedding picture's in a frame;
They're young and all a'glow,
With hairdos in the styles once worn
So many years ago.
I wasn't yet a glimmer in
Their thoughts that happy day.
The future was a question mark
But they were on their way.
And now our years together
Live in memory's secret file.
On days like this I take a peek,
For just a little while.
