Premium MemberThe Forgotten Holiday

Stores were decorated lavishly for Halloween
A precursor to the extravagant Christmas décor
Seems like Thanksgiving slips silently in between
Almost like it’s not a holiday anymore.

A precursor to the extravagant Christmas décor
Should be cornucopias and some pilgrim hats
Almost like it’s not a holiday anymore,
It’s hard to find Thanksgiving, think of that!

Should be cornucopias and some pilgrim hats
Throughout the harvest month of November
It’s hard to find Thanksgiving, think of that,
Amongst the rush from Halloween to December!

Throughout the harvest month of November
I’m seeing some frozen turkeys in the freezers
Amongst the rush from Halloween to December,
A token for us old Thanksgiving-lover geezers.

I’m seeing some frozen turkeys in the freezers
Seems like Thanksgiving slips silently in between
A token for us old Thanksgiving-lover geezers,
Stores were decorated lavishly for Halloween.

Merry Xmas

"Spread the Glory of God by lighting a candle and caring for one and all by sharing" ~ by Poet

The spirit of Christmas brings joy and cheer,
The joy of sharing and caring - a reason
To rejoice in the arrival of our Lord dear,
Positive vibes bloom in this magical season;

The joy of sharing and caring - a reason
To feel the inner harmony and peace;
Positive vibes bloom in this magical season,
Bells tinkle and jingle putting mind at ease;

To feel the inner harmony and peace,
Let's devoutly pray and spread His message of love;
Bells tinkle and jingle putting mind at ease,
As in silence, we praise the Savior from Above;

Let's devoutly pray and spread His message of love
To rejoice in the arrival of our Lord dear,
As in silence, we praise the Savior from Above,
The spirit of Christmas brings joy and cheer.

Family gathering in the 2020 year
'Twill be so different, but then maybe
Will be dissimilar from ones filled with fears
Or some thing else and I won't be called baby

'Twill be so different, but then maybe
It can be cheerful, we could sing "Jingle Bells"
Or some thing else and I won't be called Baby
We can hope everyone gets well and remains well

It can be cheerful, we could sing "Jingle Bells"
Will be dissimilar from ones filled with fears
Or some things else and I won't be called Baby
Family gathering in the 2020 year

I am concerned for everyone's health this year as we gather for Christmas.
I have had fears in the past but this is something entirely different.

Come one, come all, come let us hear the band,
For soon we'll hear some famous songs all planned,
December brings a Winter Wonderland.
The Twelve Days of Christmas are all at hand.

Rudolph the red nose reindeer in demand,
The Twelve Days of Christmas are all at hand.
Little Drummer Boy knows he's in command.

Premium MemberI Dream of Riding In a Sleigh

I dream of riding in a sleigh through falling snow
Moving in the shine of colorful lights that glow
I can hear the caroling of songs on my way
It is a beautiful season and I now pray

Moving in the shine of colorful lights that glow
Candles light windows and chimney’s puff a smoke flow
It is a beautiful season and I now pray
For love, joy and warmth in the warm houses to stay

Candles light windows and chimney’s puff a smoke flow
I can hear the caroling of songs on my way
For love, joy and warmth in the warm houses to stay
I dream of riding in a sleigh through falling snow

Premium MemberGlorious Days Ahead

Christmas Day reminds us of our Savior’s birth,
All in my family know about God’s son, our King.
Glorious days ahead fill us with happy mirth,
Familiar carols we happily sing and fling.

All in my family know about God’s son, our King.
We know that selfless giving can make a happy heart.
Glorious days ahead fill us with happy mirth,
Angels put us together, which was exceedingly smart.

We know that selfless giving can make a happy heart
Smells of cinnamon and chocolate waft about in the air,
Angels put us together, which was exceedingly smart.
We work together, smiling with purity, and rarely a care.

We know that selfless giving can make a happy heart.
Glorious days ahead fill us with happy mirth,
Angels put us together, which was exceedingly smart.
Christmas Day reminds us of our Savior’s birth.

My Christmas All-Star

I miss you my son, my all-star,
Winter paint faces full of cheers,
St. Nick and Frosty, came so far,
Both are treasures to little dears.

Winter paint faces full of cheers,
Gaze for Santa's sleigh o'er the glens,
Both are treasures to little dears,
Made Frosty with some odds and ends.

Gaze for Santa's sleigh o'er the glens,
St. Nick's reindeers were used as gears,
Made Frosty with some odds and ends,
Was packed with snow as Christmas nears.

St. Nick's reindeers were used as gears,
St. Nick and Frosty, came so far,
Was packed with snow as Christmas nears,
I miss you my son, my all-star.

My Mate and I
(in this case, the “I” is Santa Clause standing by his mate, the reindeer)

My mate and I – beneath a Christmas sky
Looking ever upward; I have to sigh
to see what is the heaven’s brightest star.
So close that star appears, and yet so far.

Looking ever upward, I have to sigh.
Why can’t the world know peace? I wonder why!
So close that star appears and yet so far.
Tranquilness envelops this place we are.

Why can’t the world know peace? I wonder why -
to see what is the heaven’s brightest star!
Tranquilness envelops this place we are.
My mate and I – beneath a Christmas sky.

Holy Child

on to you a savior was born this night
the shepherds heard the angels come to say
this star so bright will be your guiding light
go see the king atop the manger's hay

the shepherds heard the angels come to say
swaddled in cloth of ivory he lays
go see the king atop the manger's hay
follow the light to go offer your praise

swaddled in cloth of ivory he lays
journey to the manger over the steeps
follow the light to go offer your praise
it is there the holy child softly sleeps

journey to the manger over the steeps
this star so bright will be your guiding light
it is there this holy child softly sleeps
on to you a savior was born this night

As seasonal passage conjures two friends,
Winter paint faces full of joy and cheers,
St. Nick and Frosty, all children then befriends,
Both are treasures to precious little dears.

Premium MemberChristmas Night

‘Twas an auspicious solemn holy night
Under the guiding star of Bethlehem
This baby Jesus born in a manger
Led by choir divine of angels singing

Under the guiding star of Bethlehem
From far they came to praise the birth of Christ
Led by choir divine of angels singing
He’d walk the talk of true brotherly love

From far they came to praise the birth of Christ
This baby Jesus born in a manger
He’d walk the talk of true brotherly love
‘Twas an auspicious solemn holy night

SANTA COMING

Santa waits to visit Earth on Christmas.
Reindeer ready steady to pull the sleigh.
       For celebration eager human mass.
Santa Claus to reach prompt without delay.

Reindeer ready steady to pull the sleigh.
Cheerful children are setting Christmas Tree.

Carol to sing: Jingle bells ring in spree.

THE CHRIST CHILD

Starting with a visit from an angel
Mary pondered his message in her heart
The Christ Child is lying in the manger
And that's how His ministry got its start

Mary pondered his message in her heart
Not knowing just how his message would end
And that's how His ministry got its start
How her heart would come to be so broken

Not knowing just how his message would end
The Christ Child is lying in the manger
How her heart would come to be so broken
Starting with a visit from an angel
