Raindrops pelted against the window, rolling down the paned glass like tears,
Not unlike the way tears were rolling down my pained face,
The sky was crying with me,
As the plants drowned in the rain,
It felt like I was drowning in my worries,
There was a restlessness within me, and I knew I couldn’t just sit there,
I knew I couldn’t just allow my anxiety to take over,
I stepped into the rainstorm, just for a moment,
And let it wash away all the negativity, all the overthought thoughts,
And as I stepped inside once more,
I could take a proper breath,
I was calm once again, everything was okay.

now im overanalyzing again
playing out dumb scenarios
that would never happen in real life
thinking far too much about other people
people who dont think about me
it’s stupid wasting my energy on them
but i just cant stop
i just cant
now im filling my day
stuffing it full
so i dont have to think anymore
just so maybe someone will see me
but even i dont
i dont know how to be me
just because i tried that already
because it’s too much pressure
an obligation to reply
when i cant even feel safe with them
when i dont know if they do see me
and dont know if they ever would

Not to stay nor to leave.
Don't you understand seeing you smiling ear to ear,
since I have said something stupid?
I overthought once and once more?
Weren't you grinnning ?
Grinning because I was funny?
Grinning because you found it amusing?
Am I amusing?
Or are you finding the situation amusing?
Are you thinking I am a dead doll?
Why can't you realize..
Haven't I specifically chase you away? By a head turn?
Why are you your hand raising?
You know my little brother is not thinking.
Tell me do you see my habit in him?
Waving and smiling? Saying hello with Red cheeks since being ashamed.
Have you seeing him saying hello?
Do you hear people saying we look the same?
Why are you recognizing?
You did not smile.
How can you be so rude to a kid and not smile back?

I thought
And overthought
…thought again
The thought
…was not the thought
That it had been
I pondered it
….and thought
…Why did I have that thought
…And when

I thought it’d take a mountain
A mountain moved and climbed
A thousand games of hide & seek
Before I’d ever find
The answer to the question
All-knowing, holy truth
Will I ever get over what happened
Will I ever stop loving you
It’s quite simple really
Too often overthought
By those who’ve loved
and those who’ve not
And those who wish they never had
There is no end,
Only evaporation
The love mists into false disappearance
But it is still there
Still lingering in every breath
For love is like oxygen
Fuel for the soul
Fuel for the body who will never be whole
Without their missing piece again

For this poetry serves as my medication...
A Prescription I take so in my mind there can be a separation
Between what's real and my overthought delusions
Best part Is I can never overdose on these stanzas
My soul consumes them infinitely, still my body stands
For this poetry serves as my therapist
It knows my struggles and it shows me sympathy
It has mastered the skill of empathy
I come to it heavy with stresses,
but after a one on one my problem tank empties
Pop pills and heal your body, your heart and mind remain in turmoil
I turn a page, and allow my pen to spit at it the venom from my thoughts and feelings.
My breathing slows and the tension in my muscles eases
My brain quietens and my heart relaxes
Unlike the pills you pop
This poetry serves to heal the body and soul
Sedating me without risk of a seizure
Bringing me peace beyond measure
Making me stay calm under all this pressure.

The boy cried, as his anxiety becomes his fear,
Yes, that boy, whom the world thought , doesnt shed a tear .
He was strong no more, not strong enough;
To face the rest of the pack, who believed he was tough.
What the people,the world, failed to realise;
was that ,he was a boy ,his heart wasn't ice.
He thought, overthought until he could think no more ;
For he had become the lion ,who couldn't roar.
The world said "You don't cry." "You are strong."
"You are a fighter."- and he proved them wrong.
"You're overreacting" "you're an attention seeker" "You dont have to be such a crybaby" is what he was told;
He became a misfit, an outcast, the lion who wasnt bold.
This went on for a day, by the week it was gone,
People became normal, though still the same.
As for the boy, he laughed, he loved, he lived ,he tried.
He became the lion, the world couldnt tame .

Why can't I choose what I want my human to think ?
Why must I be the one working all hours of the day?
Constantly filling my drawers up with these clothes called thoughts?
Like now my human is typing everything that I'm thinking right now?
I must be dreaming or something...
I mean tell me this is all a dream...
My home has a lot of damaged things in it
Like from the very first break up... I have that memory posted in the back of my room
Like when my human overthought that math question
Why can't I empty out my trash can... I mean it's memories my human doesn't want to remember anymore...
Does my human even notice me?
I mean seriously...I get overfed with random thoughts every second of the day
Someday human I'm going to exploded and when I do you'll have one thing to say...
WHY CAN'T I THINK?

When fear blocks your heart from seeing love,
It makes excuses and causes you to run,
Leading to confusion, you put yourself there,
The thinker overthought, yet he's so unaware,
Tell me who I am, yet your telling on yourself,
The mirror reflects back, putting the experience on the shelf,
His heart still pounds, his words are alive,
But pays too much attention to the fear inside,
He refuses to let his pride fall and open his heart,
His image is more important, so he lets it all fall apart,
Is he really happy with the decision he made?,
No, not at all...he drinks his life away,
Must we go through the vices of vicious torment and lies,
To find his heart drowning, still swimming for his life,
Sober fustration can't find the words,
For fear his heart won't be valued or heard,
The mirror with compassion looks better than the bottle,
Yet hes still swimming through the alcohol to get to the bottom,
Empty....

To what eyes may be wandering, and whichever ears; pressed on wooden walls to grasp little hushes, may be present. I would but casually invite, as to remove the tension. Which may or may not have been present within the times past, and due to come. It is at this moment, in which the occasion has arisen with such momentum, that I speak upon thee with such subtlety. Take due apology, and please retain the impatience you may experience within the monotonous approach that I impede upon thee. Nor pay heed of overthought to the contradictive hypotheticals I may divulge. Yet I feel if there is no true discussion upon the matter. If we, as minds of many, choose so as to neglect what lays at our harbors. Whom rises at our hilltops with the shining of the world's sun at their backs. We have done nothing less than give in to ill-natured minds of cowards. You have then chosen to rank yourselves within the vast oceans of carcasses in which our brothers and sisters occupy. Stench lay at your feet, rot lay there. Do not let your pride reside with it. The decay and disrespect which so heavily laden the ground. Our backs bowed by the cumbersome blows of defeat.

Each of us live for the moment
As none are promised time
Not knowing which is our last
We make choices with that in mind
In life we bathe in beauty
Often to drown in sorrow
Paying the price with our tears
From troubles earned and borrowed
Immensely exaggerated caricatures
Overthought problems become distorted
Examining both sides of an issue
Inclinations can be easily supported
Of all of the powers we're given
Choice being the most distinct
Overthinking a problem is time wasted
Be objective but succinct
Every choice will lead to another
But our time quickly remits
The objective is to have a lot of fun
And leave little time to regret it

I thank the Gods that I can think
I'm so glad I have a brain
But often I do overthink
and feel closer to Insane.
I'm tired of these old thoughts
Come to haunt me in the night
Wasn't the pain when it happened first
Enough of a horrible plight?
No -- it needs to knead the pain into my skin
Until I feel like it's a part of me
Until I feel I can't erase the "sin"
Of doing what makes me happy
I'm so thankful for my intellect
But often, in the night,
Do I wish I could tell my brain
To shut off with the light.

the heart is grandiose
in proportion to the mind
(accidental overdose;
the life that was never mine)
the problem with people
is the overthought
the simple, magnified-
distraught.
