“There's a rainbow in the sky, all the time, don't be blind.” — Ziggy Marley.

A day of joy is never lost,
Each moment holds a jewel bright.
No battle’s won without a cost,
Yet patience overcomes all fright.
The rainbow’s shadow crowns the frost,
For those who seek, its gate shines clear.
So mutter peace and draw it near.

when world over comes
will add up all of the sums
beat my gums and drums
Gritty shore pops foamy words
Sends fantasy back to sea
Drifting flotsam overboard
Swept casually
THE FOREST OVERCOMES WINTER
Wuthering, gale held aloft by the thick forest.
Woodpecker drills his acorns deep into the trunk.
Willingly, dog noses into each trunk coming home.
Welcome, the thick smell of pine cones.
Warm, the snow blanket in our deep woods home.

She's feeling like Atlas
The burden upon her,
And all she can do is Wonder Why.
He Stares out the Window
Regrets but says nothing,
And all he can do is Wonder Why.
Living through memories
Like clothes out of fashion.
Forgotten we hold our dreams
For inspection.
Then drop them embarrassed
Too long we have waited
Till they have just faded,
Till We have just faded,
All We can do is Wonder Why.
Jesus Overcomes

In nineteen sixty eight my fields were burning,
A storm was raging, at that time, in my life.
Adversity’s winds had left my thoughts churning,
Foremost was the idea of my pending afterlife.
God used cancer to start my rebirth upgrade,
He whispered my name and I was roused by His voice.
While salvation came free a huge price was paid,
King Jesus is my savior and in Him I’ll rejoice.
Now 50 yrs later the “Widow Maker” He’s averted,
And the things I write serve as His mouthpiece.
In His Love let me always be found tightly girded,
And as day’s wind down, hold to His inner peace.
God Overcomes Our Greeds
God overcomes greed's
Also fulfils all our needs
For us to survive.

TECHNOLOGY has finally overcome STORYBOOKS;
psychic VISIONS and scientists have foretold.
COUSIN prefers these new-fangled technologies;
it's a tiny book stronghold.
My heart is writing on a tear soaked page
Love is vicious and life is so unfair
Truth is, the more you love the more you care
You figure it out, your last act on stage
When love teases, the heart becomes enraged
Then strikes back for getting caught unprepared
Punishing you for being unaware
Leaving you lost and lonely in a maze
Sometimes dreams can be a dangerous thing
Fantasy overcomes reality
The heart starts to ache for what used to be
You feel sharp pain from love's poisonous sting
Once again you become a casualty
Find yourself asking the question, Why me?

And when the boredom overcomes us
We sleep...
And dream of days with no wars
And no global warming
And all is well on the planet Earth
But I guess it would be really boring
If there were no more problems to solve
And when boredom overcomes us
We sleep...
