A door with a strong key locked
Is a room outrightly blocked!
So, in which space had folks flocked
When darkest eleven clocked?
Not a door at which one knocked,
For stubborn key one has mocked:
The picture: a room with wares stocked
By one who had a ship docked,
All its windows well-shuttered
For a privacy not shattered…
A door with a strong key locked
Is a double-barreled gun cocked.

When Tom was ten he was told,
To give up swimming, outrightly,
‘Cos it would get him nowhere,
But at 12 he swam the Channel.
He has an intellectual disability,
And is in the new class of S14,
Which he embraced 14 aged,
To join the ParalympicGB team.
Commonwealths were his debut,
Glasgow 2014, Tom won bronze,
For the 200m, the freestyle event,
To make quite an entry splash.
And still in Glasgow, the Worlds,
2015, for Tom another bronze,
In the 200 metres freestyle again,
Which he did celebrate totally.
Then 2016 and the Euro Champs,
Took him onto Rio 2016 in Brazil,
Because he secured two medals,
A gold, a bronze: individual, free.
In Rio Tom hit a high silver note,
To take a second placement fair,
In the men’s 100 metres freestyle,
With a time of 1:56:58 minutes.
He comes from Rawtenstall town,
Which is in hilly Lancashire county,
In the furnished Rossendale Valley,
And has set three British records.
54.79 secs for the 100m freestyle,
1.57.27 mins for freestyle 200m,
And in the 200 individual medley,
2.15.65 minutes: all UK records.

I minced my words when asked to place,
Myself with evangelical Christians chaste,
Because i was outrightly on passions side,
Wishing to elope with my arms open wide.
They were carers, so could brood and scowl,
If they thought my views were liberal and evil,
So upon my plate i did put pop and books,
To make sure for them there were no crooks.
But they cornered me one day with strength,
So i said I’d tell John, the graduate of breadth,
And he also took some thoughtful contemplation,
To understand the third Bayesian complication.
There’s a Bayesian probability of a third, flat,
That Jesus actually existed and knew the pat,
So although the incarnation is two steps too far,
The nativity can be framed in academic banter.
Even though they said i had no right to delay,
My exit from Christianity’s church open parley,
I believe i had the full right to suddenly walk out,
Instead of explaining beforehand my long pout.

If God gave it to you
No matter what you do
He is not going to take it away
And vice versa
If He didn't give it to you
No matter what you do
You are not going to have it
So what is the lesson here?
Don't change the mind of God
And don't think He is changing
I have to learn the hard way
God one time told me not to like this guy
I ended up liking him
And got my heart broken
Funny the thing we do
It wasn't that I outrightly disobeyed God
I thought I had convinced Him to listen to me
And at one time even believed that He had changed His mind
So you see God never changes
If He tells you no
The answer is no
And will be no
Don't think you have some smart power
And can talk God into that
- whatever it is you are doing
I have to remember that
Because a lot of times it makes no sense
But later a lot of sense
Whoever can see the mind of God?
No one
But He can see the mind of ours
Do you see what you want to see?

If loving you is wrong
I don't ever want to right.
If loving you is a sin
I outrightly reject righteousness.
If loving you is disobedience
I give in to mutiny.
If loving you is folly
I swear I detest Solomon.
If loving you is madness
I deny not my state of lunacy.
If loving you is an error
I want to keep this mistake.
If loving you is death
I am a living dead person.
But if loving you is life, means life
Believe me...
The state of my heart,
This outpour of my emotions,
The lovely looks in your eyes
And this ranging fire in our hearts
Was written in the stars... .
