When nightfall dips in palest of gold
I feel a sense of indignity,
As owl's melody loses its eloquence
Through the absence of a safe abode;
Where quietude calls for avian coos
The kind which never seeks to intrude…
And its orbed eyes larger than neons, freeze
In need of natue's hued, aerial parade---
Startled, bird's forest trail is washed out
By mourning dew of poison
Denying the barren woods of nourishment
while allowing thieves to skin owl feathers,
mangled talons like so, wasted ---
Wise keeper of secrets, hushing the noise.
Life marvels at your nocturnal guardianship
yet, this world shares not your moonlit toots
lithography of hills no longer owns
your delicate interludes of silence...
Man ravages bird navel, flesh , and plumes
For trading quests, for self- interest ---
Can this earthly slaughter cease
sucking nectar soil of birds dry?
Somehow, I still hail the dwindling number
of hooting owls
Which believes that the next generations
will wander on an environ,
Soaring their wings... joyously free at last.

The Heavens Acquiesced
Bubbles rose on moonbeams glow
lost fairies trapped within
held prisoner on currents flow
by liquid walls so very thin
drifting in the moon blue sky
the captives of the light
danced within the bubbles skin
gave song to silent night
rose until the light of day
obscured by horizon’s crest
shone upon fine fairie wings
as the heavens acquiesced
found joy within the glowing orbs
hanging in the dark of space
peace within the fairy songs
soft filigree of moonlight lace
so do the fairies rise to height
orbed prisons without bars
drifting in the moon blue sky
fairies become the stars

There is a truth in you my friend
both heady and unique
that makes my sense of smell
take flight,
and drives my curiosity.
I carve away voraciously,
cut deep and cut again
til glossy bulb is
ringed layers
of dazzling luminosity.
Sweet orbed bands,
I plate them out,
in artful presentation
gleaming rings I praise, admire
the aim of my pomposity
I peel, and peel, and peel again
core’s perfect pearl revealed
And I in awe,
Relish, delight
devour you aromally

Circled light from angels' faces dawning
traces the darkening way all feet must tread,
reflecting forgotten silhouettes on rain wet streets.
Old city lights beam bright pathways through the gloom,
resplendent pools shimmering luminous enchantment,
mirroring tear washed memories of distant pasts.
Buried beneath regret-slick brick roadways,
specters gather round glowing gas lamps--
modern street lights' ancestral flames--
ghost lovers lingering in shining orbed dreams, remembering . . .
trembling vaporous fingers tracing love across softly illumined faces.
So linked in melancholic splendor, lovers old and new,
ply life's sacred needle, stitching the golden tapestry.

That orbed maiden comes out
With the radiant darkness
The innumerable stars
Hymn written in light.
The night walking down the sky
With the white fire laden moon
More richly hued than the day
Makes it more alive.
Lovely portals of the night
When the stars come out to watch
Day die giving glimpses of
Immortality.
Snow like icicles pointing down
Nature’s mysteries infinite
Centre all over no circumference
Do we deserve to know?
Would not like to wish “Good Morn”
Or wouldn’t like to wish “Goodbye”
Or to drench and drain this beauty”
No! Not at least me.

God have mercy on spiders
hanging in their webs
waiting for the moon
They seem condemned to loneliness
to a long sleeping in between
How they sweeten our gardens
with their dew encrusted
weavings, touching branches,
framing spaces
And, when the orbed ones
have departed in the daylight
they are not dead,
merely sleeping,
beneath the nearest leaf
waiting for the moon

A dime of orbed light
Hangs in water from a limb
Winter cries for spring
She has grown white haired
And soft, melting in the sun
Love uproots our fear.
The wind chisels flesh
My canvas shivers with light
Stars have twinkling eyes.
Change is a new bud
Carousing on a warm sprig
Tongues panting to paint
The sky cloudless, soft
As flakes in the arms of leaves
Brown on barren ground.

October moon shine,
Full-orbed as you were,
Breaking thru the pine,
Stir not yonder beacon, past.
Your veil of light,
Quietly doeth shine,
As if taken flight,
Slumber upon the eyes, gleaming.
Slumber beseech thy breast,
Full and fresh incite,
Above thy mountain crest,
Awaken your bed of pleasure, woe.
Give love where love taketh,
Be rich in your pleasure,
Show thy body bareth,
With skin so smooth and soft, rose petals cover.
Essence of your body fair,
Streaming sweat glistens,
Incense floating in the air,
A moan a groan taken in the night, silence.
Another night of being with you,
Another moment of love,
Rest your perch of view,
While the skies shine above.
