We saw some hieroglyphics
And some beaded Native art,
Some instruments of music
With their coolness off the chart;
The Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit
And some armor from the past,
All admired and enjoyed although
We zipped through kind of fast.
The only place we lingered was
Where varied rooms were staged
Showing how the wealthy lived,
Our grandson totally engaged.
The lighting dim, the papered walls,
The opulent décor
Elicited reactions
We had not quite seen before.
Such lavish furnishings, unlike
The homes that I have known
Make me wonder how he’ll decorate
A home when it’s his own.

Overwhelming, onset of October
Ogling old owls
Overjoyed with orange overgrowth
Overtakes obsidian opulence.

“Bound by banks of time, a zillion years had passed before you and a zillion years yet to come; but in this timeline, we never met a GOD as he is a cup of delusion and so don’t fear the sacrilege, if you decide not to drink from that cup since bustle of civilization thrived without him and will continue.” After the speech I silently retired to my room and bowed.
scuttled the true faith
and celestial opulence -
I beg Your mercy.

Once agone moments in time
she was poetry in motion,
'til she pirouetted herself
onto dusty versed shelves
midst old clouded rhymes
& recollected love notes
yet, there lingered echoes
glistening 'tween strands
of web's interlacing design,
meshing her finessed
past within gossamer's
complexed entanglements
beyond labyrinths of
anciently grand symphonies
she dances, still ~
silently in her head
flirting with destiny
albeit, not quite as opulently

In opulence you lie and dream
Of nothing but your Harem Queen
Her honeyed eyes and silky thighs
Those sultry moans and sated sighs
You dream of touching rounded breast
Of dipping into lover’s nest
The scent of jasmine on her bed
You feel her kiss anoint your head
The giddy taste of flowered dew
And all the things she does to you
In opulence you lie and dream
And taste again the sweetened cream
You feel once more the curve of waist
The sultry dance of thoughts unchaste
The searing trail left by her kiss
And how her mouth led you to bliss
You hear her panting out your name
When torrid storm, you can not tame
In passion’s throes, she bites her lips
Your vice like grip is on her hips
The time has come for her to know
You are the master of her show
Her tent of love, goes up in flame
You've danced and won Desire's game
Sated senses seduced to sleep
You know your peaceful thoughts she'll keep
In opulence you lie and dream
Of her who is your Harem Queen
When eyes awake to light of dawn
The curtained veil, away is drawn
What blessed sight your eyes will see
Your dreams were but reality…..
