Somber summer storm
Teases dark clouds with lightning
Orthodox at first-
Reforms with loud thunder booms
Morphing war midst armored skies
Lovely strings hum a lullaby,
As songs of heaven angels cry.
Sorrowful roar of a horns sound,
To a death-defying place bound.
Somber flows the pianos rifts,
Over a plain of flirtatious shifts.
None relates to this lasting weight.
Glorifying ears that will captivate.

I mourn the loss of the good ol' days; a somewhat...
Somber, prolonged trip down memory lane, ruminating over
The final days of freedom before going off to college!
Fun, innocent times with my buddies! Treasured memories made
Under the sun! I wish I could relive them all; I sure
Lived life to the fullest! Sadly, those days I'll never retrieve!

V-ile weather is coming,
E-arly twenty-fifth October;
N-ever be disappointed,
U-nhappy, upset and
S-omber.
M-ake your life strong
U-nder the heavy rainfall;
N-ever think of giving up,
O-pen your heart and
S-oul.
Heavy-hearted beneath your bridge with tides drowning
Eccentric beyond repair and never learning your lesson
Relief found comfortable only when you're frowning
Somber ruefulness contingent on your severe depression
Addicted to any mind altering chemicals; lost not found
Dastardly and wicked like a cowardly lion and a thief
Nondescript and lacking the ability to stay earthbound
Embezzlement of your felicity was your only relief
Sedated from tranquilizers and subdued from persuasion
Suicide found alleviation and refrained from confrontation

L ow clouds droop as she sits on rumpled gown
O aths of pale secrets falling through ravaged sleeves
S omber cheeks line a hollowed tract, cast down
T iredness all around; steep as barb- wired leaves.
T ainted droplet hides on eyelid’s corner
E ncasing her passages streaked with pain,
A s black stars perch on withered flowers
R eflecting shadows ruptured, glimpses wane.
S ilently her thoughts prick sparse winds, to blow
O pening dam of jarred beats from love’s past haze;
B eyond snuffed wails, lost tear plunges full flow
S ullen as thorns, she weeps in requiem sways.
