To My Justin

To My Justin

In the garden of my heart, I’ve wandered wide,
Through paths of many men, I sought a guide.
With dreams of Mr. Right, I danced in the night,
But each time I was wrong, lost in the light.

Yet here you stand, my prince, my knight,
In your arms, I’ve found my truest delight.
You’re the hero of my story, the calm in my storm,
With you, my love, I’ve finally found my form.

Without you, dear Justin, I’d drift and I’d sway,
You’re the anchor that keeps my fears at bay.
Though you drive me to madness, with quirks that confound,
In the chaos of love, it’s you I have found.

One moment I’m fuming, wanting to choke,
Then laughter erupts, and I’m wrapped in your cloak.
You see through my layers, my heart laid bare,
In a world full of noise, you’re the breath of fresh air.

So here’s to you, my love, on this special day,
With every heartbeat, I cherish you more in every way.
For in this wild journey, you’re my guiding star,
Happy birthday, my darling, my love, my czar.

Forever yours,
Odette aka Laurie

Premium Member Nobody's Funeral

At Nobody’s funeral no guests appeared
No priest came to serve the last rites
No one sent flowers, no one volunteered
To carry the coffin outside
So what’s about funeral, is it a hoax?
It does seem like hallucination
Or one of those flat unintelligent jokes
Some share to get brief attention
If it’s real, I’d like to attend, count me then
I’ll come, if you have the address
We'll bury that ever-recurring old man
Who caused such a terrible mess
He shall be buried as soon as it takes
Just tell me the date, send a scheme
But this time it shouldn’t be any mistakes
I must be assured if its him
Whose soul was as hollow as trunk of a reed
Who had nothing to say but the lies
Fake and evil was pretty much all that he did
What a joy that he finally dies
A solace of freedom and peace comes again
After war people like to feel free
We cannot be judged for the crimes of armed men
Much too busy with love are we
Nobody is dead, breaking news on the top
Swan Lake’s on the TV all day
Four little cygnets are dancing non stop
Odette in the wings drinks champagne.

Premium Member Silence Is Golden

A lady who lived in Korea
Had terrible verbal diarrhea
Her hubby called Bill
Said, “Keep your tongue still,
Quit carping and bending my ear”

Bill’s desperate for a lil’ peace
But her acid tongue will not cease
From morning to night
He gets no respite
From nagging needs some release

Bill seeks advice from friend Odette
She says, “Buy a gag as a threat”
His wife takes the hint
She desists, its mint
Bill’s over the moon you can bet!

 Let hope blazons

feel the great season of the year
listen to church bells ding, dong, ding
children’s choir are gladly singing
spreading good news for all to cheer.

listen to church bells ding, dong, ding
help the sick and typhoon victims
no matter how hard life may seem
pray, offer to God everything

Christmas Season
rejoice in joyful caregiving
let’s cooperate as a team
pray, offer to God everything
let hope blazons

Premium Member A Tribute To Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake

The tale Tchaikovsky wove that day
Lives on and on upon a stage
Spun by pirouettes ...and plie's
An epic story of love conveyed
Through the beauty of ballet

Prince Siegfried and his Queen Odette
Who gave their lives without regret
To live forever bound together
As beautiful birds of a feather

As two swans upon a lake

Author: Elaine C. George

Authors note: Plie' is a french word
pronounced Plee ay
