Bob and Patrick were young babyhood krabby patty crib mates
They have been together since babyhood, there are no debates
Patrick is a good friend, but Bob has to take care of him a bit
For Patrick was born completely naïve with eyebrows that knit
He believes whatever you tell him; ideas are not in his pointy head.
The red dots across his belly are proof that he is probably overfed.
He does not understand some of the wittier things happening around.
But his friendship and loyalty to SpongeBob is well known in the sound.
In that strip mall, The Breakfast Cart smiles
with morning fare crafted from scratch
as diners rush for untold miles
for ham and eggs that are a perfect match.
Rustic art coats each wall
with metal chickens and old ad signs
some so large, while others so small
as I soak in the comfort of these designs.
Many diners visit each day
to visit dear friends and to sit and chat
since the bargain prices are little to pay
and the setting is truly a Welcome doormat.
in the raging of a nation's night
know you are loved and not alone
you're surrounded by friends who care
wishing they could help on this journey
you're destined to travel on your own
we're by your side with heartfelt thoughts
hoping they may lift your spirits and somehow
ease the burden when the path is strenuous
and in the raging of a nation's night
when you wonder if the end is near
just think... what if it's only the beginning

Maple trees are a symbol of Canada, our great land
It's leaf is featured on our flag we're a friendly band
Of peace loving folks
Friendship we evoke
Spoken by a true Canuck, covering my heart with my hand
The years have been kind to us
Though seldom were they lavish
We stood steadfast by each other’s side
The best companion I could ever want
Soulmates by any other name
On this journey we called life
Chasing dreams and aspirations
Sharing tears and laughter
Now looking back so fondly
As the end draws near
My friend, my love, my mate

Maple trees are a symbol of Canada, our great land
It's leaf is featured on our flag we're a friendly band
Of peace loving folks
Friendship we evoke
Spoken by a true Canuck, covering my heart with ny hand
It was in a thrift shop where we met,
You were sitting on a shelf,
And I was passing through,
I was in need of a coffee cup,
And you were in need of a home,
And over the years you became
My friendly comfort zone.
It's early morning when I get up,
I'll go and get my coffee cup,
And after the morning coffee's brewed
I'm usually good the whole day through,
There is no place I'd rather be,
Than in the morning calm,
With just my coffee cup and me.
I love those quiet hours before the crack of dawn,
The peace and quiet is a special time,
To activate my poetic mind,
And when I sit and write with my cup by my side,
It gives me a feeling of poetic pride,
And after the morning sun comes up,
I'm ready to refill my coffee cup.
Your sweet allure seduces butterflies in flight
Thy beauty charms the dew of dawn
Your fragrance is such sweet delight
To your bouquet lovers are drawn
With each color that adorns you
Your beauty remains unmatched
Each color has a meaning too;
Purity, if adorned in white
You bestow friendship with yellow hues
Joy thrives in petals pink
In any hue your beauty never shrinks
Red bouquet means love is true
Love by any other name, is you
3/30/17
Of your repute may I gladly
shout and aver this day most well?
You are foremost a high-born lady
of style whereof I'd love to tell,
a princess that's sage and lovely—
whose mind is like a fertile dell.
You are too oft’ a raven-haired
of graciousness that's seldom seen.
You are the friend that boldly dared
to be the one and hopeful Queen,
a source of ruth who cried and shared
her tears through eyes of limpid green.
You are to souls a fresh new start,
a renaissance of hope that's true:—
a gift of grace to the contrite heart
and to the lost that no one knew;
you are thus the most blessèd part
of faith and joy that now ensue.
On porches bathed in brilliant sun
enduring friendships are begun
as neighbors air their hurts and joys
and children learn to share their toys.
On moonlit porches, arm in arm,
sweethearts display romantic charm.
The night was made for them, it seems.
Love fills the air and starlight gleams.
On crowded porches, trips are planned
by those who dream of surf and sand
or snow-capped mountains far away.
They'll have their respite, come what may.
On countless porches, you will find
retirees resting weary minds.
They've other things than work to tend;
they're waiting for their second wind.
Old porches now in disrepair
attached to homes bereft and bare
still echo with the lives of those
who have gone on to sweet repose.
An Ode comes from the Greek language
It is originally a poem to be sung to music accompaniment
Are you happy you may dance to
A praise or tribute to, something big and elevated
An ode is a type of poetry that celebrates an object, person or place
My dear coffee cup
I appreciate your friendship, and will take plenty of time to enjoy you
Oh my delicious hammock
Is there a more optimal feeling of happiness and freedom
than to lie in a hammock and rocking
through the day without worries ?

Consistently sincere
rock solid.
Formidably weathering trite storms.
Carol your dedication
exemplifies
exemplification.
Whether shocked or soothed there you are
discerning
smart
shrewd
kind
You know your own mind.
The Cheshire cat's toothy grin
has nothing on you.

I am crying yes crying
why I hear you asking
It is because I am moved
by a poem on here
So sadden by her words
how could it come to this?
a guiding light, a friend
an inspirer of fine words
Linda you were first to greet me
it was you who smoothed my way
gave me help and advice unselfishly
introduced me to contests and more
Poets should not fight like this
WHO THE HELL GAINS?
In The End NONE!! All LOSE
no sparkle left just matt dim and dull
Linda your words touch my soul
more far more they inspire
Never hang up your pen
Return soon we need your love and input
Always your friend and fan Shadow

Oh how my heart yearns for you
That once was my dearest friend
We traveled many miles with each other
shared our thoughts and passions
We put the world to rights time and again
You were my sanctuary from life's woes
Never asking or expecting anything from me
freely giving me everything you could
It was only when you were taken from me
That I realised what a gift I had lost
The gap left in my heart so big,
A chasm I was unable to fill
Why oh why you i cried out in sorrow
It should have been me for you were no age
The angels took a piece of my heart
On the day they took you
One day soon I will again travel with you
For such is the fate of mankind

She was a devoted ole gal always at her best
so many days I cried hanging off her chest
down to the lake in the hot summertime
we would cool her off and swing on a vine
Every morning at five am here came Belle, now my friend
and again at six pm there Belle was ready to work again
years passed and Belle became a part of our family
we worked, we played, and we milked twice a day
Half my life she was one of my dear friends
I greeted her in summer with warm sun burnt skin
and in winter I spent my time warming them
when Belle died I can't say things were ever the same again
Belle had become more than a cow in a pen, who gave us milk
she became a babysitter, a circus act, part of the swim team, for the neighborhood
but most of all Belle had become a lonely teen's dear friend
