Horse Sense

Are gay jockeys fruit of the loom
when riding a race on the course,
and would they need the helping hand
of a leg-up
to get on their high horse?

Would a long-faced horse,
a sourpuss,
not wanting to be a player,
bolt the barn door
or be a neigh-sayer?

If a broke cowboy saddled with a nag,
a dark horse of a different colour
that's *****,
were bent, a crooked rustler,
would he sell you a bum steer?

Premium MemberAlong With The Thunder

With limp thunder
came silent still-born rain.
Sky broke,
clouds chose
to play apart today,
as the gray clad stand-ins
in blue duffel coats,
and snow white hoods
slunk away, to fade away,
like peals of bells
fade when echoes fail
to surface on
soft absorbent
compliant surfaces.

Black clouds like the thunder
missed the role-call.
Remained waiting
in the bleachers
for someone
to applaud,
to gee-up
the thunder with claps,
to raise a curtain call.

To giddy-up, giddy-up
the mighty steed Thunder,
to do its
clippety-clop, clippety-clop thing.
to do its
rumble, rattle and roll,
with steely shod and shiny
hooves on cobble stones.

Sometimes my dear steed Thunder,
led along on its reins and bridle,
enters the storm unmounted,
hushed to neigh forlorn,
in gray clouds,
in sky-blue skies.

Memorable day

It is a hot day in May, I wish to stay in an inn at bay, And I paid the price to stay , The inn is not in neigh , I pray god to direct the way , But I stand my home by stray.

Hello Sitty Patty

They got this weird thing going on.
They have tthese parties and serve steaks. They save the bones and dry them out and even smoke them. They mix ground meat and pack it around the bone, and then do the same with the ground fat.
I tasted it: it was good but I was told not to encourage this sorta behavior.
They get all excited about the event and make jokes about being so poor that you'd recycle Steak bones and pack them with meat. I heard one guy say: that his father told him when he goes to the store withhis mother, see if she's buying streaks or recyling the bones. He said that once she wanted to go buy a new bag, but didn't have enough money. So she took the money and bought cheaper ground meats and packed the bones and feed the family at 7 p.m. after the sun went down in a nearly lighted room, so they wouldn't notce the difference. Said his Dad was beered up and didn't complain.

truths

civility rolled off autumns tongue after forty three and neigh a year coursing through four noble turns and twice unfolding the tear.

in her hands i'd rarely leep, occasionally for some sufferings sleep
and in the tree's i'd hang for she, often offered nothing of burglary

sheep and beep her alarms did seek, to conquer with force my earthly smell, learning to drink her milky swim i have lost verbs again

My Son

MY SON

In the middle of the City stands a tall gum tree
With a trunk so bright reaching out to Yeah

Jacaranda nearby looking up at me
Yet I stand tall and proud for the world to see

Sun sets on my trunk at the end of the day
Trials Tribulations, I have a lot to say

Don’t mean no harm to come your way
So much to say at the end of the day

I aint no clone I aint no fool
I mean no harm to come to me nor you

Flesh and blood aint no excuse
I need your love not you’re abuse

So hang on tight for time is neigh
So so sad just a wasting away

On your response, I am but waiting
I’m a patient man but time is a fading

Love dad

Premium MemberWinter Snow Horse

"A horse is poetry in motion."

                               Quote - Unknown

My horse must think me very odd,
      for he turns to me with a nod;
as flakes fall silent on his mane,
I love him standing there so proud.

We stroll a white frozen terrain,
      falling snow making branches strain;
my hair black as black my lips red,
my horse prances down the lane.

Sleek soft grey, alert and well-bred,
      he follows with his mane outspread;
a snort, a neigh, soft eyes of gold,
sparkling snow falling as we tread.

The winter woods silent and cold,
      with scenes exquisite to unfold;
serene the delicate snowflakes,
as wind whispers of things untold.

Santa, Elf and Rudolph argued about -
Whose charisma Christmas can’t do without.
Santa bragged all human kind
Loves him as a mastermind.
Elfy turned green, Rudolph pouted his snout.

Elfy then struck a pose: “A cocky claim!
Despite the fact that all elves look the same,
Our gifts and toys are diverse
All around the Universe -
To rate our role just second best? For shame!”

Rudolph pranced on his dignity with pride,
Took his conceited co-workers aside.
Explained that without his sleigh
Gifts won’t see the light of day.
Neigh! And off he flounced for a joyful ride!

Friendship and love

What would you do?

If it wasn't for my Partner and kids,
My Mates and family too,
I'd be up the creek without a paddle,
Literally,
What would I do?
How would we go about things alone?
So many wrong choices that we'd choose.
We'd have neigh on no advice,
Through any situation,
To help us get through.
Who'd be there for us,
To open up and talk to?
I really don't know what i'd do.
Especially when strangers,
you dont know are true.
If it wasn't for yours,
What would 'you' do?

Ballad of soldier's ho

I though soldiers are adorning their horses for eternity
for immortality for life for instance?
Nor nightmare nor stone nor chauvinism is anyhow the
world ever for glass or glee.
The world has never been in silence or pretence or
barren, each snow a blow, each touch a walk, each
neigh a lovely memory or remembrance, ah! filling the
earth with joy and bliss, blar, blar, blar, blar, blar, blar,.....?.

Worm

Wiggle flop, wiggle flop
Rat a tat, rat a tat
The falling rain goes pitter pat
I’m not a rabbit, I can’t go hop
All I can do is wiggle flop
Wiggle and squirm
I’m only a worm, wiggle squirm
I tried to be fish and say blub blub
But I almost became a fish’s grub
I tried to be a horse and prance
But I couldn’t dance or neigh
I almost got eaten like horse’s hay
So wiggle flop and wiggle squirm
I can only flop because I am a worm
I’ll stay in these puddles and watch the rain come down
I’ll dig in the dirt and stay golden brown

blue of the waves

The stretching of nimbus
arcane into the neigh
the grateful dead laugh
into the dark
half lying
with mouth open
where the sons of the glen
take you into the Sun
over broken barricades
mounds of high light appear
into the blue of the waves
kiss winds spark

Feeling Unwonderful

The thick forest's hill with wild flowers
rolls through perfumed daises meadows,
that are a haven to lovely hummingbirds:
among thick trees there no waterfowls!

These colorful birds avoid eerie darkness,
they wake up at the appearance of light;
they can't wait to dominate those vast vallies:
hear their shrill as they start their daily flight!

We all think that the above shies are peaceful,
even birds fight for supremacy as humans do;
I grumble at such cruelty feeling unwonderful:
we admire space but ignoring God is a taboo!

The brown and white stallions gallop slowly,
it's not a battleground where they can neigh;
they follow the horse trail breathing serenely:
and while ballistic missiles blast, I smell death!

Strummaz Motiff

The green leafed tree in the harbor.
There the freights are advanced.
Sailors with quality tools, while
diners feast and play chess. The edge
Of the merchants dine hall has a Blindspot
where tugboats honk there horn to
enter the harbor. A large pile of bones
where the chef has stacked them, for
the jewelers to retrieve them to make
Carved ornaments for tourist and others.
We find there Snorkel and Algae two
Fiddlers who play music while diners
Eat at the Surfin Toot restaurant.
"Anchors ah shore maties, Anchors ah-
Shore!"

Captain Morse Pierconn
USS Snorkelcraft

Chauffeur play'd Hymn
But didn't play me
Swift sung to her
But didn't sing to me
People like song
But didn't like me
What we gon do
What we gon do
Indough neigh ah
Ah beautiful ismuss
Brazilian strings
A pretty lady
We sing ah song
But song don't
Sing me
We sing ah song
Of love!
