Connected With Nature

I very rarely get up at the breaking of dawn
a blanket of muddy clouds
overcasts

an eyelash slither of light sliped pass
as the crescent moon cuts it's way through
with a wink

suddenly, in the neighbors yard next door
three startled deer stood in line
watching me
as I turned into my driveway

a quick dash and off
they ran for the thick woods
safe from the light of my headlights

no sooner than I parked
my headlight shining on the dead grass
engine running
a bushy tail rabbit ran into the light

I had forgotten how peacefully the animals play
under nighttime's moonshine
when I turn for my last snooze of the night

rarely
do I get up at the breaking of dawn
now I'm glad I did
as my spirit connected with nature once again

The Moon Is Hidden Somewhere In the Clouds

The clouds are dark,
And scary,
Not a single star is twinkling,
The sky looks dense and without any glitters!

The clouds and the moon are lark,
Although its very dark!

Frequent moving clouds..
As if its a race!
And the moon is hides itself,
Somewhere in between the clouds!

The moon is in a playful mood,
Playing hide and seek,
Taking full pleasures,
Of the dense clouds.

Yet its brightness cannot be hidden,
The light penetrates through the clouds,
All its trials..
were a vain effort!

The scenery is photogenic,

Worth to be captured,
Its eye catching and magnificent!

The gibbous phase of moon,
is enhancing its beauty.
Duskier the clouds,
Shimmering were it looks.

It may be our urge,
To see the ray of light in the dullness,
That made the moon looks-
The brightest and the best!

Splendors of Sapphire Nights

Sapphire ocean blue, twinkling waves of white

Capped in heavens glory, divine,

Oh heaven for a drop of that blue paint

Crisp and clear like a visceral emotion

Reaction exhilaration of heart beat

Lord thine sky at night, true love

Calling across time and space

Breathing in all splendors, of

What nature hides in light

Not wicked, nor wanting of grace

But fresh clear beauty of infinity

Infinitely spun wide wonderful

Tangled web of beauty, hold your breath,

Shine, shine like dark light that

Matters less in light of day

It must be to me then, love

Life in the night, lucidity,

Crystals of God’s tears

Shine, burst forth no more fears

Golden Sun

The golden sun came out to play,
Lulled by the song of an empty day.
Casting a glow to light the dream,
She danced her rays upon the stream.

The depths that reach the silent tide,
Are born of hope from the prison inside;
To teach the bondsman how to praise,
The lovely warmth of sunlit days.

Perhaps the sun will wrap your soul,
With arms of light to make you whole;
Perhaps the sun will touch your face,
And fold you in her warm embrace.

Dance the path of silent sound,
And heal the wound that can’t be found;
For the sun can touch and the sun can heal,
All the sorrow that seems so real.

Where the Natural World Meets Mine

High Desert sunset reds over my nearby saddle-back

Clouds make zigzag patterns of sky writing, whispering messages of longing.

Lazy spillover creek reflects reds and pinks, flowing past my RV Home

Candles and lanterns bring soft light and gentle moods.

Needs are few, wants many!

Smiles abound, dog wags sway with music all around

Frogs croak their joy, freed from their long hibernation

Mallards quack in harmony on the snow melt lake in this valley.

Plants reach up, pushing earth out of its way, searching for the light of day.

Night floats in tied to the full Moon............

The Moon

Look up at the dark sky
Hidden beneath the gray cloud
Appears the round glowing circle
What is it? The moon I whisper softly.

It gleams with a vibrant light
It leads the way upon are many travels
Around the world, through the rain
It gleams through my window
As I say my prayer tonight
It beams of light shine down
On my bed with old words of wisdom.

The moon light reflects on me
As i lay there my spirits
Down cast knowing when
I awaken it will be gone.

For now I allow my eyes
To forsee a new direction
A direction that's bright
The light gleams up to the stars
And penetrates out across
I fall into a deep sleep
As I await for its beams to gleam again.

In Blue

The evening sky rests upon a cobalt blue comforter
As pinpoints of light descended downward through the heavens
Constellations standing steadfast in a slow drift
As the earth rotates slowly beneath them
From Orion to Ursa Major
They stood together for the casual viewer
I have often wondered how that star that stands alone
Feels in its seclusion
Sometimes the loneliest star shines the brightest
But will we appreciate its beauty?
Lost in a cast of “billions”
Some have long burned out
Appearing only as a memory
Passed on from light years away
Diamonds that glitter in an endless sky
A voice that drowns in its silence
As planets tiptoe slowly
an eternal dance unfolds
In Blue

Stream of Light - Filled Laughter

STREAM OF LIGHT – FILLED LAUGHTER

Her song is filled with sun-kissed splashes -

The river’s scintillating dancing necklace, coruscating in myriad sparkle.

Sweet light breeze blesses and washes

Each wavelet with a gem-caressed crest of clustered stars a-twinkle.

Her laugh, her dance : her life - her brilliance - flashes.

Morning Awakens

I awoke before the magnificent light glazed the earth,
I stood out side on my balcony,
And gazed as the moon faded into morn,
I felt the cold air petting my face,
With eyes closed and I absorbed the fresh air.
From the profoundness of heaven above,

The ray of light glanced through the clouds,
It does not wait on no man to "come"
 And sweep it's light.
The birds are waking up
I could hear them sing in the distance.

The sleeping buds arise ,
Spreading their petals to receive the pluming rays.
I snuggled with my blanket on my chair,
  Sipping my Bavarian Wildberry Tea,
  Awaiting my day to begin.

In a gentle motion the light gleams,
Over the hills, the seas, the trees everything in its midst,
The morning rays spread throughout the land ,
As the stars go dim and fade away.

I see my day look bright like the sunflowers in my garden,
I got up looked at the beautiful morning sun,
Smiled and walked inside with contentment.

Exposure, a Sijo

A glinting light fabricated under wilting hallows;
Yet darkness reigns as truth through fallow lanes runs hoarse and shallow;
So light as heaven's feather be the turns of ray and shadow.

Moments' Grace

meandering creek reaches conclusion
                      finds silence and reverence
                      in shadow of seclusion

                      subdued light gives deference
                      off road and traveled way
                      finds silence and reverence

                      in shadows secrets stay
as the land knows no time
                      off road and traveled way

                      in reflections it finds divine
                      the creek finds its place
as the land knows no time

                      moments spent give moments’ grace
                      time blessed and true
as the creek finds its place

                      meandering creek reaches its conclusion
                      subdued light gives deference
                      in shadows secrets stay
                      in reflections it finds divine
                      moments spent give moments’ grace

A Walk

Footsteps on the ground,
Crunch slowly in sound,
And I walk.

Walk in the quiet pines,
Soft light sweeping forth,
As it peacefully shines.

Whistling birds their voyage at bay,
Soar in verdant trees,
Means only to play.

That I could fly,
Wind caressing me,
Sweeping me through the sky.

Glancing down at impeccable splendor,
Of light reflecting off gentle creeks,
Shy deer grazing on a grassy floor.

Thus I land with both soles,
Never faltering in stride,
On this lovely afternoon stroll.

Sunset

Day's royal blue canopy fades into the outer recesses of space and time
As hoary sun sheds its fiery cloak for a deeper hue
Gilding light retracts its flaming parasol to horizon's edge
Last burning ember coalesces into a patchwork of glowing cinders
Shades of bright yellow diluted into coarser pinks, reds
Twilight kisses Helios' parting rays filtering light through a dispersed prism
Diffused light obfuscates glaring shadows and richer contrasts brew
Harmonious band of colors blended into the melting pot stew
The parade of colors christens the solitude of tranquil eve anew
The plush canvas emanates an aesthetic charm refined love to imbue
Linking mortal bonds to eternity's immutable chorus of beauty and bliss
Nocturnal creatures spring from lairs and croon chilling anthem to the blazing panoply

The Light Poem

The light poem

The digital light of the man made city shatters night’s darkness
Night’s peacefulness
Organical night
Night’s ability to make one self more in touch with matters more than at hand
But at the source
Crashing into the solar energy of organic light during day
The light of life meets the light of death

Tell me where light comes from
I ask science

He laughs

Light is a creator
Royal blue ocean no wind smooth as glass
Not a ripple as far as sight travels glistens
Warmth is represented in the reflection… I listen
And wait for life to evolve into itself

Mother earths children are gifted with mathematical light
The perfect angle… man calculating how to survive, using sun’s rays
The sky is the page measuring the rotation of stars and tracking the ages
Light that was produced when we were yet to be
Has finally reached us
Look up
Energy created millions of years ago is touching your face
