Cliched Love

I love you more than the word
May you spread your wings; fly like a bird
If I didn't mean it I wouldn't say it
Would I?

So cliched and yet so true
No less original than I love you
You use me now, and throw me away
But we know we'll make up the following day

Puppets to these emotions
And we all put into play
When all emotion is lost
Lifeless we are left to lie

Used by our hearts
And destroyed when we part
Cry blood when you bid farewell
But still we forgive, Oh well...

In the name of love
The blessing from above
We all stick to the ordinary
And that's cliched love

A Fond Farewell To Brick,Bill and the Samurai

Hello everybody,

First I would like to thank you all from Robert Dufresne and myself for all your kind
comments on our Collaboration. I started this series with the intent
to make a book out of it, Robert and I have become very good friends and I asked
him to collaborate with me on this endeavor, and he accepted.Your comments have
been phenomenal, And from Robert and I, I thank you. And if I may take Liberties Robert
thanks you. I feel that if we continue writing in this forum we will degrade the impact
of the book as it is released, therefore we will write 3 more pieces for your enjoyment,
and then as we decided we will go En Dormante to finish the rest. It is our hope that by
fall of year next it will be in print. We are also collaborating on a poetry book. With hopes
it should be ready by Summer 2011. We love you all and appreciate your comments and hope
you will read our works. Love Rick and Robert A.K.A. Brick and Bill

Darkness

Darkness,
Is it scary or are you blind?
Does it feel up your soul and give in
or try to fight it?

Dusk,
Is it rare to you or not?
Do you love it or hate it?
Does it feel good to be alone or
is it better being around people?

Twilight,
Is it cold or warm?
Does it welcome you or
are you avoiding it?

Maybe you dont know the answers,
but I do.
It isn't scary and I'm not blind,
I let it feel my soul and give in to it,
Its rare to me and I love it,
and Its better being alone than being
around people.

Its extremely warm
and It welcomes me.

People don't understand darkness
because they are afraid,
but most people welcome it,
So would you join it?

Below Zero

I almost came close to believing that i knew him.,

yet there was more in him than i could have imagined.

We did the Hi's and the goodbyes,

yet there was a dark side in him.

It was his past.

"I fell in love with her" he said.

"Then out of the blue one day, she said she didn't love me back."

The halls were empty and they seemed to stare at us because it was

just the two of us. Unless you want to count the lockers.

There was a moment of silence.

A pause.

Before I had the chance to recap my thoughts he said,

"And then one day i shot her"

His face had no expression.

His soul seemed harder than a rock.

At the same moment ,

the earth seemed to have stopped moving

for the temperature of my heart was below zero

Premium Member Sharing of Dreams

Your words are fueled from the heart-mound.
Your nervousness is God pushing you in a grocery cart.
Your love is a secret door you let trusted people through.
The special grace between us is proof we share the same space ship.
Orbiting larger loves.
Paving carnival roads where once was dark muck.
I love you, too.

Premium Member Ode To the Curvilinear Form

The love of the curve
the slip, the slide, the drift,
the ride.

The road’s May West hip,
the wayward Marilynesque
crest of the mountain sides.

The curve of the moon,
the bun of the sun,
a toasted morning bride.

Arise, unfurl
like Shirley Temple’s curls
or the smoke from homes
where man bides.

The love of the curve
as in orbit we spin
or the proton nuclear ride.

Relax, slide, slip and unfurl
just come along for the ride!

Premium Member Country Squire

Country Squire that owns this estate
Surrounding land and many lakes
No longer comes on scheduled time
In the village he mostly awaits

On his white steed he often climbs
To the estate he comes anytime
Brings a lady by his carriage
Wants a soulmate's love that's sublime

On estate he has advantage
Where he can put in her beverage
A potion of borage love potion
Hopes this will lead to a marriage

For this woman he wants for wife
To live and love him all his life
In his castle there will be no strife
In his castle there will be no strife

Vengeance

Time for my vengeance to reign
Time for this fool to feel the pain
That he has caused unto me
No worries of "times three."

I call upon a power of old
One that will surely unfold
The power of a woman scorned
You were once so warned.

My daughter from me you took
Tis you, not I, that is the crook.
For this utmost heinous crime
I seek justice of the most sublime.

Spirits upon the Earth I seek
To make this mortal weak.
To curse him to a living hell
Worse than that of any jail.

Let him lose all his hair
And leave none to spare.
Let him feel only a chill
At the loss of his thrill.

Lose the love of the daughter
That thought you walked on water.
Lose your friends respect
And feel your wife reject.

See your life fall apart
And love from you depart.
The deed is done the spell is cast
Vengeance is mine at last.

Love.Song

.. "and the Indian Sang, but you heard no song?"

I walked a park once ago and long, it was hard to leave the lonely breeze but alas, I did
walk on. So much love so easily given, shown to blow in the winds of Heaven, known to
those a treasured vision and yet so lost and gone. I stood a while with a tear in eye then
turning away I shed the cry. Can it be that love has died? Down the path to sorrows door
checking hear and there for more, turning in search of that elusive thing we dream and
hope blows in our wind. I won't believe and can't just see a love gone dead inside of me...

I walk again to write the Songs in search of a love once known and gone.

When Wood Is Not As It Seems

I grasped the staff
That the old man had given to me

If I had only looked

At the tattered cloak

More closely

I could have seen

The deep spun blue

The silver stars

That had faded

Under a million morning suns

and travels under canopies of green

I felt the wood grow

It knew the way

The way of everything

Of magic

Of nature

Everything to know

I held the staff

In the morning light

It was then that i saw

Upon the wood

That chance meetings are now understood

The deep spun blue wool and silver stars

Of his cloak and our coverings

That began the journey

That handed over to me

The journey

Upon the wood

The letters could be seen

“the love of all things”

I knew I would meet him again

When it was my turn

To hand over the staff

When I finished my journey

Of a million morning suns

Under canopies of richest green

With my Faerie Moondust Queen

The staff to guide me too

The Moondust

To love me

When wood….

Is not as it seems

This I learnt

Yet, the Moondust

With her wisdom

Always knew

I Want You********
