Ice On Fire

As in crystal methamphetamine, the mind becomes cold.
Anxiety, paranoia, and schizophrenia
Creep in, like snakes and deathstalker scorpions, uncontrolled
Are bones, veins, flesh, and blood affected by asthenia?

The body begs for calm composure; the moody mind mulls.
Midst fires of optimism, the ice of pessimism melts.
Restlessness and rebelliousness resemble spineless skulls 
Vandalism of vindictiveness vitiates vague vents

The feeling of freedom to fly and fervently flutter
Fill and flow flawlessly, like fine floral fluorescence.
Mild melodies of memories musically mutter
Constant conscious conscience has come to be the quintessence.

When the ice of hateful, heinous, hideous hurdles heaps
May passions of compassion flare from the depths of the deeps!

The Wind Hears Many Secrets

The wind hears many secrets
As he blows at his election.
Only a hearer at best –
He mulls them over and again
But doesn’t repeat or think aloud
For there are too many to recount.

The wind also has many lovers –
Appreciating the trees –
Caressing the flowers
And cooling warm cheeks
But preferring to roam –
Blows away to a place unknown.

Change brings blessings
As time dangles,
Sense true loving
In each tangle.


Words attest work
As space avails,
Time in free jerk
Spreads what prevails.


Touch frees as such
The waves of pain,
Rhymes echo much
Yet not in vain.


Urge memoirs cite
The way of waves,
Distill fine writes
As voice mulls brave.


Keep what you keep
With soul intact,
Feel feelings deep
As change impacts.

The Still Bleak Morrow

The wind blew and lighting bugs flew 
 
In on a warm summer night undue. 

A man mutely sitting on the edge 

Of a rocky ledge 

Mulls over of days gone by

Like a river gone dry

Knitting the feelings of the unkind

Past in his mind

Giving into sullen sorrow. 

Maybe it'll change tomorrow.

Nevermore will time be leaden 

With bleakness, but only by death's end.
