Premium MemberA Mother's Worries-A Mother's Love

Last time I saw her, you could feel the autumn breeze
Digging through all these memories of a picture and a thousand words
Remembering all the summers past, with a laugh on this day
Although a mother's worries may seem to go unnoticed
You gave us all someone to look up to all these years
With the silent love two doves could share forever
This is what we all hold onto to, your hand was always there
Raising six from child through every changing season
And, the tears of another sweet sixteen
It was with a gentle touch of a mother's love
You give us all something to believe in
Another photograph will finds its place
There are some things you can't put into words
There might not be a marching band, or banners in flight
Know that the love from all of us, is yours

Samantha

I wonder what I'd be like if you had loved me
As a mother myself, a friend, and spouse
If your love had stretched like branches of a tree
But I still keep your picture at the entrance of my house

She's the Samantha before you had to take life by the handles
The Samantha before you were consumed, as if by fire
So I ran to a Father who gave my feet sandals
And He gave me all the love my heart could desire

Premium MemberAnother Mother's Day

Mama, are you thinking of me?
I was thinking of you, too
Wonder what all you see
And the things you do.

Is the canvas from heaven breathtaking?
I bet the peace feels like bliss
No worries or constant aching
Just a heavenly, gentle kiss.

Wish that heaven had a landline,
I know that we would talk
I would hold your hand in mine
And we could take a walk.

Time flies too fast down here,
Does time stand still there?
I miss having you near,
But I'm sure you're aware.

Yesterday was Mother's Day again,
It had me feeling some sorta way
Perhaps you were listening in,
In your nurturing way.

After everything we've been through.
Our memories are vast
Just know that I love you
present, future, and past.

Shall I Compare You

Shall I Compare You... ?
Shall I compare you to the sun?
Shining and warm, my dearest one
Shall I compare you to the moon?
Unique and bright, my greatest boon
Shall I compare you to the light?
Illuminating what not of sight
Shall I compare you to the knight?
in honour and dignity willing to fight
Shall I compare you to the Queen?
Admiring how you yourself preen
Shall I compare you to the heart?
You are the love bathing in my heart
Shall I compare you to life?
Of essence, lenient and tough
Shall I compare you to...?
You are beyond my similes and metaphors
You are above what I write of poetry forms
You are my mother
Of words I can add no other
Mother

Mothers

I had a new baby and my world it was rocked,
My heart was full, but my friends they were shocked.

My friends... they said, have you lost your mind,
You are too busy and young, they were not very kind.

The moment I saw those little eyes, so blue
I felt comfort all over, a love so true.

I knew I would never be alone, no way,
We'd make a life together, day by day.

To love a child is a love like no other,
The love from a child has made me a Mother.

Don't listen to others, simply trust your heart.
You'll have a friend for life, and shall never part.

If you have love to give, and it all feels right,
The decision is made easy, just hold on tight.

Unconditional Love, you could have it too.
How I got along without him, I haven't a clue.

Premium MemberMemories of Mothers Day

Made motherless
in your mid teens,
father removed by grief,
brother and sister
crying out, your youth
was taken by need.
Emotions went subterranean,
kept capped too deep in you
to weep to the surface.
You became a mother.

As a child
I never knew your pain,
I was too busy with my own.
You carried those unhealed
scars under a granite veneer.
Tears were meant to be held
back and arms kept busy
baking and servicing
the myriad of chores
a housewife did back then.
They were not meant
for holding me.

We loved from a distance.
Only in the slow dissolution
of your dying did we see each
other as we were.
We talked for hours
until words were done
and there came a silence
where existed only love
between mother and son

A Mother's Day Without Her

(For the one who still watches from above)

She wore her faith like Sunday white--
quiet, clean, and always right,
not perfect, no--but kind and true,
and stitched her days with all she knew.

She fed us love in humble bowls,
prayers whispered over weary souls.
She mended things no needle could,
and did her best, and did it good.

When life was hard, she stood her ground,
her voice a soft, forgiving sound.
The world took more than she could spare,
but still, she gave--she always cared.

Now heaven holds her gentle hands,
and I am left to understand
how much of her still lives in me,
how deep her roots still seem to be.

So on this day, I light a flame,
and speak aloud her sacred name.
A Christian mother, tried and true--
the heart of home I always knew.

I miss her more than words allow,
but I feel her near me, even now.
A guiding light, though we’re apart--
her love still anchors down my heart.

My blanket of comfort

My mother~
the reason my heart begins to beat,
my guardian angel,
my warm blanket of comfort.
In her care, my dreams take root and bloom.
She is my guiding light in every storm.

She is the song most suited to my dance,
the well of love, of kindness, care.
The only star in my ocean’s sky,
the reason I sparkle like sunlit gems,
the hearth where all my hopes are kindled,
my chest of love, my tender warmth.

A good wife to my father,
she made our family a gallery of masterpieces.
She cooks, she cleans, she works, she gives.
In her eyes, my tears find shelter.
In her heart, my love finds rest.
She wears my sorrow
and wraps me in a robe of joy.

My mother~
my first teacher, firm yet kind,
a compass when my path grew dim.
She taught me how to brave life’s storms
and guided me with patient strength
toward the light of wiser choices~
the voice of right when right felt far.

To my yet-to-be wife—
turn not my heart away from her.
Respect her, that our home may bloom.
Give her honour, like rain gives the earth.
Then shall your love flow through my blood,
and on your head shall rest the crown
of my eternal love and care.

mother's day tribute

Happy Mothers day to all mom's.

A VISIT FROM A FAMILIAR WHITE DOVE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WOODS

In the middle of the woods I sit
Becoming lost
The world for me no longer a hit
Pure Peace at no cost
Watching the gentle water flow
Completely still
I am happily hiding from the everyday show
On cool, quiet hill
A smile of soft joy creeps up on me
With Happy Thoughts of You
A familiar white dove peeps in the form of She
Totally alleviating my sudden feelings of blue

'It's Alright, My Dear Son
Mom Will AllWays Be Here
Put Your Right Hand To Your Heart
And I Will Heal You With The Warmth Of My Love
You Will Never Have To Worry
You Will Never Have To Be Afraid
For I Will ForEver Love You Till The Pain Goes Completely Away'

My tears now flow as the familiar white dove waves goodbye
I wave back with a now normal sadness as she flies back into the skies so high
Reality returns but the smile of soft joy does remain
I turn to slowly walk back towards reality....calmer and much more sane
Thank you, oh familiar white dove, for once again diffusing the bomb

Happy mothers day

To all my female family and my female friends
You was blessed from up above when they sent you a child or children to love . They saw that your heart had a void so they sent you a girl/ boy
Someone who could fill that space and be held in your warm embrace .
No one can say when GOD will decide to take them away , but in your heart they will forever stay .

A Letter from My Mother

Little girl, don't you give up now,
Unravel that quizzical brow.

Run like a roar, not with dread,
Stand tall, hold high your head.

Remember the words your mother said:
"O sweet daughter of mine,
Let the whole world see you shine,

Everything will be fine,
O sweet daughter of mine."

Become an alchemist,
See through the mist.

Turn the pain into your gain,
But don't let your heart wear a brain.

Keep the poems close you've read,
There's beauty and love just up ahead.

Though life may not be as it's said,
It's more than butter, more than bread.

Rise above the noise because you can,
Life is a journey, not a plan.

Have faith in Him,
Life won't feel so dim.

He loves you, sweet child, you radiant spark
So be gentle when life feels dark.

Be wild and free, go hug a tree,
Dance with the wind, just let it be.

Live with ease,
Listen to the honey colored bees.

Talk to the flowers,
Rest under the bowers.

Spend your hours
Smiling through the rain showers.

Carry on,
Look for dawn.

Every hurdle will be gone,
By the next morn.
