Almost fifty-three years ago, I became your grandson.
You died 30 years ago today at the age of seventy-one.
You became sick when a doctor prescribed you some Dilantin.
The allergy ended your life and we would never see you again.
Your death hurt others as well as me.
Your body was in such a bad shape that you had a closed casket ceremony.
The Dilantin was what made your body end up in such a bad shape.
When you perished, almost two hundred people attended your wake.
You lived in Sneedville but passed away in a hospital in Morristown.
It was a sad day thirty years ago when we buried you in the ground.

The Kmart has closed that was located in Morristown, Tennessee.
That's one less place where people can shop and that includes me.
This particular Kmart was built in 1974.
After being in business for 43 years, they closed their doors.
They were in business for over four decades, that's a long time to be around.
This makes five department stores in Morristown that have been shut down.
I had shopped at Kmart since I was a child but I can't shop there anymore.
It's a shame that they had to call it quits, it's sad that they closed their store.
I adopted my Chihuahua Dog two years ago today.
I'll be Agnes's last owner, she's here to stay.
I adopted her in Morristown, Tennessee.
I am lucky because Agnes is with me.
Two years has been how long I've known her.
I'm very happy and proud to be her owner.
(Today I'm celebrating the 2nd anniversary with my dog.)
I developed an ileus from being constipated.
This isn't something that's being exaggerated.
It's a blockage of the intestines, that's something I soon realized.
For a week and a half, my illness caused me to be hospitalized.
I was admitted at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare.
The ileus caused me to be hospitalized there.
The hospital is located in Morristown, Tennessee.
I couldn't eat or drink, I was connected to an I.V.
What happened to me can cause quite a scare.
I was treated well while I was hospitalized there.
It was over a week before I was put on solid foods.
I couldn't eat or drink, it put me in quite a bad mood.
Going to that hospital turned out to be a good decision.
While I was there, I mostly watched television.
After being treated with medication, my ileus ceased.
After ten days, I was better and I was released.
The medication I received drastically improved my digestive flow.
If you become ill, Morristown Hamblen Healthcare is an excellent hospital to go.
Let me tell you about a lady who was great.
But sadly, she passed away back in 2008.
While she lived with her relatives, she had to start working at 14 to be able to survive.
She died at the age of sixty-eight and it's a damn shame that she's no longer alive.
She did a great job of raising her kids and she loved them a lot.
I wish that I would've been able to meet her but sadly, I was not.
She was a Leo just like me.
People loved her tremendously.
Dennis Paul Presley is her grandson and he's a Morristown City Cop.
She was just as special and nice as my mom and I think that's the tops.
She was the mother of my best friend.
I'd give anything if her life hadn't came to an end.

A man went in Wal-mart and committed suicide.
The poor people who saw this must be traumatized.
Suicide is wrong but it's even worse to do it in a public place.
He probably did it because he had problems that he couldn't face.
I wish that man hadn't committed suicide.
He wanted a lot of people to watch as he died.
The reason why that man shot himself is unknown.
But those people wouldn't be traumatized if he had done it when he was alone.
(This is a true story that happened in Morristown, Tennessee.)
This is the month when the accomplishments of black people are celebrated.
But until around 1980 the schools in Morristown Tennessee were still
segregated.
That was shocking and it wasn't right.
To get to be treated as equals, black people had to fight.
It's such a horrible thing when people hate.
Now a black man is running for President and that's great.
