One of the nicest Christmas traditions I know
Involves a guy, a girl, and some mistletoe.
Or perhaps I should say that's the traditional way.
But in this age of sexual diversity,
Guys don't always kiss a biological miss,
And girls often prefer not a him, but a her.
But no matter the gender,
When the feelings are tender,
That should not be perceived as a sign of perversity,
And "beneath-the-mistletoe" kisses
Between misters and misters
And misses and misses
Are just a sign of the times that we live in today.

A young lad who bullied his sisters
Woke up to his tool bearing blisters
According to Mary
It was a Tooth Fairy
Who suffered tongue-twisters from misters

Ah Yes, Do you remember this character from "Happy Days" Ralph Malph played by Donny Most?
Well, brothers and sisters
He inspired me to create this tongue twister.
RALPH MALPH'S MOUTH. Come on all you poets who know it.
Say it 10 times in 10 seconds if you can!
Faster!Quicker! Don't hesitate. Enunciate!
If you did it perfectly, you're better than me.
Come on all of you in poetry land.
With clever words at your command.
Give me your best tongue twisters.
All you talented sisters and misters!
The Tongue Twister Challenge IS ON!!

Seventy-Seven
The faster you go
The rounder you get
And time flies on by
On the wings of a jet
The birthdays pile up
Like old dreams on the table
I’ll check em’ all out just
As soon as I’m able
It’s fun to reflect on
things back in the day
When I was much younger
And devoted to play
I dream about folks
Both bubbas and sistahs
With hair now tinged silver
For misses and misters
And their still in my life
After all of these years
They hang with me always
Through fun times and tears
So I’ll celebrate, no matter the age
I’ll look forward to living
And turning the page...

mama why must I be alone;
all of the other girls got there boy and gone;
with me left here all alone;
is it because my looks haven't shown;
some call me homely;
the reason why I'm lonely;
The cuteness of my black sisters
Whom which loves each and everyone of their misters
Why must I be alone
Oh, Lord, mama is there a boy for me
I wear bifocal glasses
I hide in the back of my classes
Everyone talks to the beauty queen
Oh, I wish I was one of them
tell me why I must now cry
For a boy I want to say honey "I'll be yours, I'll be your guy
My, my, my why....
The cuteness of my black sisters
Whom which loves each and everyone of there misters
Why must I be alone
Oh, Lord, mama is there a boy for me
tell me why I must now cry
For a boy I want to say honey "I'll be yours, I'll be your guy
My, my, my why....
Mama is there a boy for me

When the oaks wrap themselves in patchwork stoles
and from umber trunks, crimson gems ignite,
the love for Autumn's fire burns in our souls.
A frosty, pumpkin sunrise brings to light,
magnificent arrays of hues so bright.
Oh! The spectacle Mother Nature's made!
She throws confetti; Autumn on parade.
Amber smiles meet with cinnamon kisses;
spiced, hot apple cider for Sirs and Dames.
Through saffron fields, stroll Misters and Misses
on their way to homecoming football games;
Alumni cheering around bonfire flames.
Fun with family, old friends and neighbors.
Ginger my senses; warm Autumn flavors.

driving the voices
from my head
fingers grip
the wheel
of
whats been said
whats to you
better for me
silence echoes
watch me bleed
misters please's
laughs with greed
takes
hates disease
make your choices
while
driving

Little girls with coiffured hair dressed as fairies or pixies
little misters masquerading as gnomes and elves
all came running like hungry bees to flowers
to my garden resplendent with sunshine
that afternoon in early May
for my little niece’s birthday party
Fairy land was my chosen theme
so the kids could live their dream
My tulips danced to impress little guests
as their giggles filled the air
redolent with daffodil fragrance
Iridescent butterflies sought home at neighbors
Wise birds, playing obsequious hosts,
fled the feeder to watch from the maple
The little feet then stopped—
suddenly a pall of quiet
huddles and whispers
hither thither they started again
innocent eyes scouring every nook and corner
under the bush, behind the trees
Intrigued by the frantic search
there’s no treasure hunt, I assured
Looking for frogs to kiss, the girls confessed
a lone glass slipper, the boys’ quest

buzz buzz
sun rise
down the dark night
and
up the blue sky
dress in blues
red tie
brown belt and shoes
stairway to streetway
into the deep crowds of many
misters and misses
on their way
to somewhere
to prey
somehow
on each other
till the end of day
and darkness
once again
and again
somewhere
somehow
to rest
until
buzz buzz
and up the blue sky

Raining down upon our thoughts,
dreams so dreary leave only stomach knots.
so mighty and tall they towered us all, reflecting
the sapphire sky so blue, Beholding our trust
yet on the day they danced to dust....
The ground shook, The waves cried,
The sky broke loose and collected the souls,
The ones worthy of leaving us all, Leaving in fall.
If autumn could cry its tears would rain goodbye, To
brothers and sisters, mothers and misters.
As the skyline collects our lovers it blisters.
Sunken in air, the city in despair, with thoughtless care
we all drown in stare. But the city's heart is for all to share,
Don't you be shy why for you its there, sew in that heart and mend
up those cracks, we all carry weight that is breaking our backs.
Someday we shall all fade into the sunset, reunite with the ones that
we've leased to the stars, cleansed of scars as we fly with our lovers
among Saturn and Mars.
For all left in that lonely zone, frozen to the cold hard bone, Just
remember your not alone, untie those knots, for your lovers dreams are
raining down upon our thoughts.

Sister's are like blisters.
They hurt those misters.
Brothers are like candy
They choke on brandy
Mothers are like books
They mess with the crooks
Pets are like eaters
They bite the cheaters
Family is scary
Because their always Wary

A
New duckling
One day hatched
Abruptly cracked, newly detached
To the lake-edge dispatched
To
Mother’s feather
There, all together
Enjoy spring’s mild weather
Searching bugs in the heather
When
Brothers, sisters
Come chasing misters
Plus cats with whiskers
Make us scatter like twisters

Part One
With gaiety and some pump
Forerunners, trumpeters
And the Gala came to us –
Varied voices, many eyes on faces
Swift to see the lapis lazuli
Nature’s gift to a forest:
(Teachers and teachees,
Authors, farmers and traders,
They came with songs;
Scholars and scholees,
Misters, mistresses and villagers,
They came with songs;
Lecturers and lecturees,
Drummers, dancers and clan-leaders,
They came with songs;
Professors and professees,
Pro-chancellors, chancellors and chair-holders,
They came with songs;
Governors and governees,
Business giants, dwarfs and hawkers,
They also came with songs!)

Ministers serenade motley misers
Mostly seeming sincere – maybe!
Morose morons, shaving slivers
Masters sharing money-see!
Messer’s mumble silly sentiment
Sold mainly, so morons see
Many misters make Miss Malcontent
Madder mostly, so say’s she!
Mercy, save me – seriously
Main-stake must mean - mooning me!
So Mr. Minister miserly
Muster means and sanity!
Serenade me, moron soon
Money maker – misconstrued
Surely master’s measly spoon
Means misery - so sweetly screwed!
