Here lies Miss Miriam Alicia Lee Snyder
A well-known neighborhood insider
She fell into a large vat of apple cider
Not covered by her life insurance rider.

Song of Praise

Like Miriam in the wilderness
I will raise my tambourine high
To praise this king
Who brought me from my Egypt
Into the Promised Land
You have carried me through
The desert
The barren wasteland
That was my life of sin
I will shout in your arms
As John shouted even
In his mother's womb
Hold me strong
As you have done
Throughout each twilight hour
Of this journey I have walked
I will thrive in your grace
As Daniel  and Job did
When staring even into
The eyes of death
God you are my refuge
God you are my life
You have rescued me
From the chains
Of sin and bitterness
I am still weak
But you saved me
From eternal darkness and now
I know no matter what I do
I can cry out to you
And you will come to rescue
I will pray and repent and praise
Like David in the courtyard
Like Paul and Silas in the prison
Like Miriam in the wilderness
Forever and always
Thank you for another year of Life

Premium MemberMiriam Rivka - Fv

Her name is Miriam Rivka* *'Rivka' is Yiddish for 'Rebecca.'
  Her grandmother's, Rivka Miriam
a woman as pure and innocent at eighty
as her granddaughter at age eight

Even at eight weeks a foreshadowing
Miriam Rivka, sleeping in her crib, her right hand
positioned in the air just so, gracefully, as cherubically
as Rivka Miriam had always held hers
                          all those years

Compromisso Percebido De Miriam, 06,06,2108, Hoje E Sempre

Compromisso percebido de Miriam Gonçalves, 06,06,2108
Hoje e sempre

Depois de seta anos
Percebi assim o compromisso
De Miriam Gonçalves.

Miriam assume o compromisso
Diante da humanidade
do esforço para ser
um espelho para amor e luz
trabalho e reconhecimento.

Miriam assume o compromisso
de refletir
as melhores qualidades
que oferecem
e lembrar cada pessoa
de toda a promessa
que ela enxerga
em cada Ser Humano.

Assim é Miriam Gonçalves
Hoje e sempre.

The bright light, plentiful mirrors
seemed more numerous here.
Miriam wondered whether music lessons
were part of her remuneration.
She thought of people,
the very first time she had played a duet-
a little running melody.. her own
part, a page of minims.

She heard nothing but her hard
 loud minims to the end.
Someone said she had a nice firm touch

The piano should always remember the blue remark-
the piano had been unrecognizable,
she had learnt her pieces by heart
..alternately the notes, almost soundlessly.

At musicale evenings,
as winter had sung afresh the effects
 she could not discover
the secret of the notes.

Miriam

Miriam,
Para o meu coração
basta o teu peito,
para a tua liberdade
te dou as minhas asas.

Antes de amar-te, amor, eu nada tinha:
vacilei pelas ruas e pelas coisas:
nada contava nem tinha nome:
o mundo era do ar que aguardava.

Hoje eu tenho tudo
E da minha boca chegará até ao céu
Meu sussurro;
Miriam
Eu te amo.

I loved hearing your songs about your native land.
In your sweet voice, you made them sound so grand.
You came a long way from humble beginnings in South Africa.
Your popularity spread to both North and South America.
From there, it permeated both Europe and Asia.
I believe you also performed in Australia.
What a delightful sound came from your “Pata Pata”.
Your music sounded so beautiful.
However, your life sadly was ephemeral.
Fortunately, your recordings have made your voice immortal.

My sister Miriam lights the Sabbath flame
maiden is she with tumbled hair uncovered.
She strikes the match and prays for G-d's acclaim.

Like Sara in the tent she lights the flame
pristine hands in front of two eyes hovered.
My sister Miriam lights the Sabbath flame

At sunset each flickering flame frames
a wish for communion, peace discovered,
she strikes the match and prays for G-d's acclaim.

The table is set, the family exclaim,
the challah's cut, the shofar uncovered.
My sister Miriam lights the Sabbath flame.

May peace and tranquility ever reign
from sunset to sunrise rediscovered,
she strikes the match and prays for G-d's acclaim.

This great mitzvah is sister Miriam's aim
since the dawn of time this act's recovered.
My sister Miriam lights the Sabbath flame.
She strikes the match and prays for G-d's acclaim.

Dedicated to my baby sister Miriam who protects and serves.
