As the maestro meticulously draws sound from the strings,
Feelings and sensations the music brings.
A skilled violinist performing with skill,
Can lull your heart and make it still.

The maestro has a story to tell,
And with his violin he tells it well.
Quickly rising with a higher pitch,
Then fallings again as in a ditch.

Bow across strings faster and faster,
A building crescendo by the master.
Then the soothing of a softer sound,
A sense of release the artist has found.

It’s much like life with its ups and downs,
A revealing balance of smiles and frowns.

Dying Innocence

A young crow carries them-
selves meticulously, screening
their surroundings. Too wary
to engage with others, but
always so observant.

A golden jewel shines in a
parking lot corner. Tempting
the young crow’s eyes. Their
bill clutches on, fragile by
nature, it breaks.

Glass shards pierces their
tongue, blood cascades on-
to the concrete as the jewel
dismantles. Remnants of a
once pretty rock remain.

Lackluster caws transcends to
inconspicuous woes through
menacing thunder circulating
the floaters, ignoring their
cries.

Drizzles of rain deafening
continuous yelp, a dash of
salt soaking their insides,
their shadow scatters
far away.

Premium MemberThe Green Fields of Leisure World

Hear the tale of the green fields where I roam,
Leisure World, the place that I call home.
If you take strolls (a healthy habit),
at dawn or dusk, you'll see a rabbit.
(If you were faster, you could grab it)
You'll see four-legged, curly-haired cuties
who lead their pets while they do their duties,
and grey-brown squirrels on their haunches
meticulously chewing their lunches.
If your garden was ruined by a snail,
I ask, are you reading my mail?
See the colorful apples of my eyes -
hummingbirds and monarch butterflies.
But what I'd like to see most (pardon my sharin'),
is a coyote or a great white heron.

Those we love don't go away.
They walk beside us every day.
Their footfalls forge the path we tread,
Driving us onward, not back instead.
Our evolving selves, deep in our core,
Shape the masks for those we adore,
To nurture our loving relationships,
Using meticulously written scripts,
Penned for each person, in a candle flame,
In forms distinct, yet never the same.

The roles we play, the stance we take,
Shape the versions of us they make.
Their words become our guiding tune,
The moment we step in their room.
Each role we play, in joy or strife,
Hums the echoes we learned in life.
Sculpting our souls in pliant clays.
The one true self within, never strays.
Never clings, never yens, asks for more,
From love that lives on, for evermore.

Petitioning the divine

Meticulously petitioning the Divine for renascence,
From the trepidation of my solipsistic ways.
A renascence into the sempiternal.
For a moment, I was indolent.
But mercy is not optional,
Love unconditional.
Seeking the Magnanimous One,
The Luminous One renders me numinous.
Promised blessings falling like raindrops,
Sheltered by anointing,
Like Daniel, before whom beasts capitulate,
Like Shadrach, untouched by flame,
Like Job faith unshaken by self-fame,
Oh, my soul bless the Omnipotent name.

    - One must make some choices,
even if some may be scary - quote by poet

    Charming ancient cobblestone streets
    Buildings meticulously maintained
    Haunted castles with
    bloody myths and dramatic history
    Pitiful g r o a n i n g in a g o d f o r s a k e n place

    The ghosts date back
to when the castle was built in the late 13th century
Teasing ghosts lighting candles in the middle of the night
    G h o s t l y shadows in the yellowed g o s s a m e r

Saying Goodbye to a Web of Deception**

When did it become so effortless for him to weave his lies? Was it after their first anniversary, when the glow of their love began to fade? He meticulously plotted his betrayals, crafted intricate plans, and willingly cheated, transforming himself into a mastermind of deceit. Meanwhile, she wore her mask of a devoted mother and loving wife, concealing her pain as she smiled for their children. In public, she exuded warmth, but behind the closed doors of their home, she was a prisoner of her sorrow, tears streaming down her face in the silence of the night.

Then, that fateful summer night arrived—a turning point. She reached her breaking point and declared, “No more, no more.” When did it become so easy for him to betray the trust they once shared? Now, the scorned wife finds herself on death row, an ironic smile gracing her lips, revealing a chilling absence of remorse.

When did it become so simple to bid farewell to the tangled web of lies that defined her life?

Premium MemberNana Baking Pans

I often gaze through Nana's broken window but today feels distinctly different as I watch the blackbirds pecking at the pears in the avocado trees. Nana harvested the finest ripe avocados and pears, their colors a lovely blend of dark burgundy and green, all from that old, timeworn tree.
Each year, we meticulously inspect every pear before packing them into a brown barrel. They were moist and delicious on the inside, so easy to peel—those exquisite, ripe pears.

Today, I am about to open the last marked box of Nana's belongings. Gently, I unwrap the final item, carefully enclosed in an old newspaper. It is her bread pan, the one with two handles, and I notice an old, burnt crumb lodged in one corner. A smile forms on my face, and I weep softly as I say,
 "Hello to you too, Nana."

T-A-L-E-N-T

The T in talent are pieces of tampered glass
Subjugated under capitalism,
And meticulously carving out worthlessness
  on the talented's carcass.

The A stands for all the crumbs of appreciation
You collect along your way, feeding your right and just pride
Humbled by a dilemmatic correlation
  of efforts and proudness.

The L is tricky, which maybe the love
Or the life that seeps into you through your work,
The ingenuity dies as L extinguishes,
and you will bear the blame of the consequences.

Once you are done loving, you get greeted with E.
The empathetic reign you have grown from flesh and dust
Withers and begs for sympathy, waiting patiently
for a high class judgement from the unnamed jury.

All the nihilistic N you preached,
Comes down to your questioning of moralism,
What great have you achieved with your nothingness,
compared to someone sewing life with devotion?

The T in talent stands for the time
A soul wastes on fixing the tampered glass,
But someone like you who knows how to stand up,
start with talent tomorrow, a journey from zero regardless.

     I knew a gent
       ramrod straight
     meticulously dressed

     Shoes laced tight
       polished to a ‘t’
     Vest, exquisite timepiece

     Punctual meant
       ten minutes early
     Sipped tea, no coffee

     Poker face, played whist
        dined fastidiously
     Folded the ‘financials’ just so

No hint of a lady or passion
        when he vanished
     His timepiece was found, stopped

Disappointed

I always kept my dreams buried deep within,
Making sure hope was meticulously protected by skin
But you chiseled your way in
and showed me what could have been
So now all i'm left with, is having to take it on the chin

I was okay, you know?
With my incandescent glow.
Before you convinced me that no,
That is not so!
And now that feels like a lifetime ago

You left me feeling disjointed
Maybe a little exploited
O how I wish I could have avoided
Feeling this disappointed

Premium MemberThe Jewel Of Jesus

As an emerald, ruby, and sapphire,
You are most meticulously adorned.
Beyond boundless sacred zeniths higher
With Him, you are gloriously enthroned.

You, in His sight, are a mystic treasure.
You're more precious than the most precious gem.
His love for you is beyond all measure.
Aren't you above the creational helm?

There's merged in you His image and likeness.
It's this that makes you a unique jewel.
You're made to partake in His holiness.
In Him, like pure pearl in a shell, you dwell.

Premium MemberWelcome Freefall Part Two On Fire

Emotions stir eternally enchanted,
each hurricane fades to a black sky.
The listless poet’s quill drips,
corralling every vibrant sunset.
Writing as old lyrics catch the air,
Say it to me again.. ‘Freefall!’

I don’t want to be disappointed
but I know it’s the truth;
Nothing will ever feel as good as you;

Strawberry-orange flavored orchestra,
citrus pizazz on your senses;
Each note meticulously blended,
what a sweet tart of a smoothie.
The next verse begins with ‘Sweetheart..’
Say it to me again… ‘Freefall!’

I don’t want to be disappointed
but I know it’s the truth;
Nothing will ever feel as good as you;

Featherweight feelings floating
in the air are gingerly swirling.
You want to capture them
right then they pop,
translating into something else.
Say it to me just one more time. ‘Freefall!’

I don’t want to be disappointed
but I know it’s the truth;
Nothing will ever feel as good as you;
It’s a welcome free fall you talked me into.

Laid out for surgery, a patient prude
Swaps self guided for guile - Medusa’s will
Noisy neurons mute, poor Nerida nude
Serpent puncture spreads in her, poison pill

Twirls twilight silent, sticky dark danger
     Cotton candy cloud, clement synapses
     Petrifying practitioner changed her
     Nerida’s urge for control collapses

Fang flung, spiralled far from mediocre
     Transfixed in toxin, menacing method
Venom swoll jugular veins squeeze choke her
     Doctor’s dose meticulously measured

Tangled snake strands, table statue taboos
Dagger dipped in blood leaves only a bruise

OLODUMARE; a piece of my gratitude

This is a complexly simple piece,
It's a creation's toil to put into words thoughts about His creator, who made the world with the words of His mouth, without precedent.

Olodumare

The infatomable mystery above human existence.
The Lord of all lordship
The most creative creator who created creations with the capacity to create.

 Olodumare

Ogbánì tó n gbá ni lówó alagbara
Alagbara àrà tí òsè fò jù dì
The one whose power is unlimited to the limitations of mortal discoveries and imaginations.

Olodumare

You are faithfulness, even when my mess makes me a fool.
You are meticulously detailed in the expression of Your love for the one who goes astray.

Olodumare

You still the waters before leading me beside still waters
God is what You are, regardless of human experience.

Olodumare

It is You who makes, mars, and remakes.
And Your dominion is dominance over every dominating human philosophy.
And to Your Majesty, I have come to say 'thank you'.
