she feels her mother’s warmth
it is so peaceful here
a heartbeat reverberates
steady and secure
floating in her sanctuary
she softly moves, aware and alert
suddenly...a violent jerk
harsh cold metal..a foreign sensation
then pain...excruciating pain
oh God, she is so helpless!
before she is brutally torn away
from her precious little life
...one last tear

Circle of Earth Elements
Air sustains us, providing oxygen for all living things,
Fire is the energy that the radiant sun brings.
Metal a mixture of elements, solid to the core,
Space provides an emptiness, divine mysteries to explore.
Water life’s liquid medicine, fluid home of the unborn,
Woods vegetative properties, give the landscapes adorn.
This circle of earth elements, inanimate substances as such,
All contribute to our planets, magnificent marble's blue crust.

With a honey-tongue and heart of gall
A coiled serpent poised to strike
Beneath his speech and quiet ways
A beguiling dagger hidden close
With fell deeds and a heart of hate
A mind of metal, a soul of steel
Poisoned words, venom sweet
Illusions are not often real
Tongue submissive, spirit bold
Dark as a secret left untold
A greater lord, a greater thane
Who shall be ruler once again
