One Last Tear

she feels her mother’s warmth
it is so peaceful here
a heartbeat reverberates
steady and secure
floating in her sanctuary
she softly moves, aware and alert
suddenly...a violent jerk
harsh cold metal..a foreign sensation
then pain...excruciating pain
oh God, she is so helpless!
before she is brutally torn away
from her precious little life
...one last tear

Sad and beautiful words written. Tears are needed after we lose someone we loved.

Such an awful thing! 'It out-Herods Herod!' Each time we can make people aware of what this really is, that's one more step to waking up the ones who are still asleep. There is a powerful movie, 'Gosnell' that is now available through Wal-Mart.
