Because His mercies never end
The sons of Jacob ne’er shall cease
His chosen ones He shall defend
He shields us with His strength and peace
His tender mercies never fail
Thus never shall consumed we be
For in His might we shall prevail
Despite the enemies we see
Because His love steadfastly stands
We shout and sing amidst a war
Our needs and plights He understands
And He sustains us evermore
Because His grace is deep and great
We have no need to fear or flee
How good it is to trust and wait
For Him to bring the victory
His mercies are made new each morn
His faithfulness has never failed
Thus be encouraged, not forlorn
Throughout the ages, He prevailed
Your mercy is our hiding place
Our help and trust is You alone
Our confidence is in Your grace

I’m out here in the wilderness.
I’m baffled, Lord, and in distress.
My heart is downcast, troubled, gray:
O Lord, be merciful today.
At times like these, I’m far from you
That’s how I feel, though it’s not true.
I feel far off and gone astray:
O Lord, be merciful today.
I cannot seem to find the path.
Forgive me, Lord, and stay thy wrath.
My sin on me does heavy weigh:
O Lord, be merciful today.
Lord, if I’m honest, I’ll confess
My life’s a shambled, tattered mess.
Why does it have to be this way?
O Lord, be merciful today.
Yet in the morning, when I rise,
Dawn pierces me, I realize:
You always hear me when I pray.
Your mercies, new, greet every day.

Times when one had right to stop one's Beloved
From leaving on a trip, urgent but uncovered
For these times. Omicron has made Africa notorious
But Level 1 Lockdown prevents me being imperious
So, freedom still reigns in my home, we say goodbye
Mind flies ahead to the return (Quarantine or Reunite)?

Traveling mercies, LORD, for my Beloved; all who travel
Within nations and across them (though UN heard the quarrel)
Keep them wise, safe, Covid-free, but otherwise kind
Challenges to health and love we've had; when we began to unwind
Urgent pleas and chauffeuring arise. Church on Sunday remains
The focus of my being and those evangelized. Living to break chains
Thanks indeed great God for small mercies,
Chancy if man has all his wishes.
With just half, he’s doubled
His storehouse that troubled!
What else if wishes are wild horses?
