pristine sharp cornered brown box garnishes excitement
we rip him open with anticipation
new merchandise has been delivered!
this box is repurposed for sorting, carrying, hauling, storing
left out in the rain, the box looks sad and sorrowful
we could fold him flat and put him into our dumpster
Or we could burn him up
He has lost his usefulness
difficult to remember now what he brought in the first place

Iconic through the years
Herald Square fascination

Known throughout the land
Some in hot demand
Only one Escalator or Elevator ride

Always gets the consumer response
The Herald Square store alone covers the entire block from Broadway to Seventh Avenue
Compulsive credit card spends
The bill will come at the end

You will be the celebrity shopper thus far.

A sleazy greedy cheating single-minded
lying used car salesman with ambition
had higher aspiration hopes
of a top managerial position
altho' customer trust was a must
as the fast-talking low-life archetype
his focus was on moving their money
into his pocket with one fell swipe
so to move as much merchandise
as a man can possibly do
while on rota to meet his quota
he'd advertise low mileage good as new
yet of the hundred motors or more
parked polished outdoors and on show
when viewers knew not what to purchase
and wanting a coupe which would go
as prospective buyers they'd ask in dismay
the pointed all-important question
'Which car should I buy, of those on display?'
he would reply, 'Try my auto suggestion.'

Waves in my brain
to your cliche songs they entrain
Background music in the store
It takes me over to my core
Others keep looking for merchandise
Or converse with each other to break the ice
But I sing along with nothing to prove
Just taken over by a nonlinear groove.
(chorus)
Waves in my brain like a tidal refrain,
When you can't think, the vacuum's the pain
I sing other people's words, can't think alone
cobwebs grow on a stalling stone
My cortex resonates to the rhythmic beat
I start dancing in the aisles, pounding my feet
It's like I'm under a spell by a witch
As my brainstem resonates to a higher pitch
The people with the white coats come for me
My shrink is puzzled, he just can't see
When your brain is one big empty hall
Music rules it, better than nothing at all.
They were right, I'm just an empty suit
So don't play that piano, guitar or flute
Thinking is hard, But I'm going to be brave
I'll find a way to make my own wave.

One "cent" is one-hundredth of a dollar.
It is often mistaken for its British counterpart, the penny.
They are worth so little these days.
Now, a suggestion has been presented:
The United States Mint should cease their production.
They say it costs two cents to make just one cent.
I also heard the five cent "nickel" is not far behind.
The price of a "nickel" is about fourteen cents.
Abraham Lincoln's profile is on each "cent".
Thomas Jefferson's is found on all "nickels".
We won't see them anymore when minting is stopped.
Besides, when merchandise is priced at ninety-nine cents,
and someone pays with a dollar bill,
how is the store going to give the customer change?
From a news story heard on CBS radio.

Candescent blossoms drape the earth's soft merchandise,
A carpet of ombre leaves flutters in the breeze,
Dewdrops transform into halos of light,
Portraying a catharsis in twilight's tender tweaks.
Surreal galaxies, solemn yet sumptuous,
Pirouetting capriciously 'round the eternal flame,
Shadows of eclipse waltzing across the magenta canopy,
While stardust settles gently on autumn leaves.
A meteorite galvanizes planet's core,
Fragmented particles, like glaciers, drifting slow,
Questioning the purpose of stardust's sojourn—
As semantics spiral into the autumn night.

The temple resembled a market place. They bought and sold.
By the rich even the Sanctum Sanctorum was controlled.
Communion of the humans with the divine seemed delinked.
From the lost tongues of hypocrites, like sounds of cracked gongs, clinked
Bonfires of sanctity from the hearth of your heart erupt
Possessed by the love of your father's abode, you were crushed.
Wrath, in the form of a whip, spun in your unconsciousness.
Each vendor of dignity soon regained their consciousness.
Could the priests and elders whose pride was demolished bear this?
Their mouths were shut. Within their hearts, there were many conflicts.
Why do you do this? What sign would you show? These were queries.
You knew your physique would berazed. You had, yet, no worries.
Pray in the house of God, Merchandise has its market place.
From the fullness of Abba, you knew, flew fullness of grace.

Walking in my life,
I met one life,
Of one man life.
I like his life
He speak about life,
Example life of wife
I like his face,
It shows how confidence,
Speaking with evidence.
Tone of his voice,
When giving you advice,
Like he has merchandise.
He has a lot of chance,
Which shows his experience,
Especially when problem face.
If directs his finger,
You are in danger,
You should be stronger.
His mind in head,
It has a lot of heads,
Which you couldn't ever head.
If you see his styles,
Shows a lot of files,
Which you will smile.
Could not I know!?
Being with him before?
To learn from him more!
I know him now,
I become his narrow,
He ends in jaw.

In realms of cyberspace, I fly
searching out treasures in disguise
skirting advertised merchandise
the ordinary, the overemphasized
to anatomize the marginalized
values overlooked otherwise
on the dusty, neglected, virtual aisles
of small sites not over-commercialized
or google ranked and over-publicized
some unexpected payoffs materialize
glittering swag, patiences prize
“Oh, my God - Look!” I vocalize
My girlfriends can’t believe their eyes
“You can find anything,” they surmise.

Untrusting
Miracle Man

A beautiful face or well known name,
will endorse a product using their fame.
Many assume that means it’s better made,
but the raw truth is they’re getting paid.
Most of the merchandise they’ve never tried,
and to the consumer they’ve flat out lied.
While they’re getting richer others get by,
but the spiel goes on, and it’s buy, buy, buy.
“There’s a sucker born every minute”

"The devil wasn't a devil until he became a devil."
A model of sagacity
Faultless and excellent in beauty
Covered with valuable stones
Annointed as a guardian cherub
Set upon the consecrated mountain of God
Flawless in ways until iniquity appeared
Beauty made the heart arrogant
Brightness currupted sageness
Filled with violence by multitude of merchandise
Driven out in disgrace
Made spectacle before earth kings to see

An art ascending along time,
with words which aren't able to sublime;
An outbreak of your emotional state,
with lines small and meanings great;
An endeavor of peace, under a tree,
Is what I call poetry.
Ecstatic, depressed or calm,
ink your thoughts with your palm;
Mere words can be utilized,
to enrich your mental merchandise;
Emotions are yours cared faintly,
prioritize them with poetry.
Expression of your every visit,
GOD, how exquisite;
Evoke your nostalgic memories,
captivated on your personal diaries;
manifesting your inward pleasantly,
is so called POETRY.

Story of Century
Of how our fathers lived in penury
And the powers promoted prejudice
They came with promises of paradise
They turned themselves into merchandise
Selling our own like stacks of rice
Wives and daughters raped to coma
While the men kept in chains by the corner
It was a sad story of the centuries
Our hearts still bleed from the injury
The chains caged our warrior's fury
And the jail sentence by the crook jury
Killed, butchered and never sorry
Tied in chains and piled in lorry
Ferried away to the land filled with gory
This is our story
Story of the century
