UP, and away I go, Hello Mexico!

It's my annual Vacation.

Those Frequent Flyer miles sure saved my Cash,

Except from Thirst and Starvation!

Round ended, Well blended, Senoritas,

There'd be no Fender I'd pass!

Mary Jane and Three more Margaritas,

AAH! It's Splendor in the Grass!

Premium MemberOn the Lighter Side

I don’t like the da, da da, da dark
Keep the nightlight on, please!
I would rather sit in the park
With the Sun always on, you see
I for real really don’t like the dark
Especially when evil lurking shadows
Leep out at me, sneak up on me
I would really rather be
Kneading some luminescent Play Do
Eating some glowing (s)lime green Jello
Skipping silver dollars in the pool
Being a downright good fellow
I will not goof around like a fool
Just sipping da margaritas
And being really really mellow and cool

That’s me, mellow and cool

Premium MemberFrosty’s Vacation

Frosty really loved to travel you know,
but couldn't go to a place with no snow.
All his friends heard him chatter
"This is snow laughing matter!
Maybe Antarctica's where I should go!"

On the way south he saw a cantina
right at the bottom of Argentina;
and there he did manage
to take full advantage
of a sale on frozen Margaritas.

Frosty, by way of explanation,
vacationed at McMurdo Station.
He met a snow sprite
whose name was Pearl White.
It's said they had quite a flirtation!

Premium MemberDirty Bucket

When I wrote it down
I could see that it was a silly thing
to have on a bucket list.
Something to forever keep to the self
(low hanging fruit pocked with worms).
Never to be touched by anything but hell.
No different than licking a muddy butterfly
Walking along the spine of a charred-out
bible passage cornice.

A silly thing to pursue...
but for the moment
a paramount desire.
Like washing dishes in champagne and candlelight.
Licking a horde of margaritas
rimmed with barbed wire
then passing out on the breast of
a coconut oil avalanche.

Premium MemberMorning Chill

Monday rolls up
there's not much to say
morning grey drizzle
seems on for the day

Perfection in circles
sizzling bud in a pipe
rings reach for the ceiling
fat, round, and tight

Rib-eye sits resting
six eggs on the pan
I mix three margaritas
then turn off the fan

After breakfast times two
it's all rhythm and blues
laying back on the sofa
settling into the soothe

Another hit from the bowl
guitar, drums and bass
sets the mind free to dream
in one's calm inner space

The Grim Reefer

"the grim reefer"

i'd rather
not eat at

just drink
margaritas

Premium MemberJumble and Rumbles Road Trip

Jumble and Rumble went on a road trip to Kalamazoo
Frightening folks along the way for it is what monsters do.
They met a lively wedding part of seventy-two.
Most had imbibed salty green margaritas, more than a few.

Why don’t you join us asked the bride-to-be named Sue.
Okay agreed Jumble and Rumble, dapper monsters who slew.
They all ended up in the hoosegow in Kalamazoo.
Serenading a cow out the window; she had a big moo.

We’ll do this again sometime! Said Rumble, happy as goo.
I loved this wedding! Agreed Jumble, who ended up with a bride too.

A Twisted Fairy Tale

Cinderella doesn't need
to be a glorified housekeeper
dealing with the summer blues
only her very own shack on the beach
selling pina coladas and margaritas

Cinderella doesn't need
a fairy godmother
only a magical starfish
to grant all of her wishes at her command

Cinderella doesn't need
to go ballroom dancing
only a one way ticket
on The Disney Magic to Castaway Cay

Cinderella doesn't need
glass slippers, a tiara
or a fancy ball gown
only a pair of flip flops
a hat made of straw and a crystal bikini

Cinderella doesn't need
to ride a pumpkin carriage
only a surf board
cruising the high seas
on the back of dolphins

Cinderella doesn't need
a prince to sweep her from off her feet
only a charming sea captain
serenading the romantic songs of the Caribbean
to win over her tender little heart forever

Premium MemberThe Hell

Margaritas in a blender,
Sans the lime juice, soon will render
recipes for all-night benders.

It's party time, with fun galore!
Supplies are low; it's time for more.
Against advice, drive to the store,
hit the wall and crunch the fender.

Your girlfriend's car, and she's aghast;
the evening going downhill fast.
Your hookup chances likely passed;
spend the late hours swiping Tinder.

Bombs detonating in your head...
What might that be that's in your bed?
You feel the rising sense of dread,
not so sure about the gender…

I’m a clever guy, all being told
Greying nicely, not growing old
Have a good heart, stone cold
Speak my own truth, little bold

Really bad attitude, I never fold
Worth my weight, in fools gold
Your credit card, I’ll always hold
What’s that I hear, a cent, Sold!

Sea serpent at the castle drinking margaritas
and I'm eating four leaf clover resting by the
spirit of rock and amethyst lyrics other vegetation
And fruits amongst themselves grapes being stumped
between the toes Footloose as the green flash of the Sun
the last balloon shows it's Iris
gathering up polished stones
placing them in the fire spitting
out the nectar of the lowercase gods
Yet instilled in dancing in ruby slippers
Such a ballerina vegetation eater vegetarian fruit picking sea serpent?

Drink

In the Underworld they drink pomegranate margaritas
I am certain.
If you had an endless supply of damned fruit to yourself
would you not do the same?

I’m sure Hades is sick of slender Persephone
in her pink rose perfume
and lilac pearls
telling him he drinks too much,
that he might just drink himself to death
if he wasn’t already there.

Delicate Hue

Blushing soft roses, filled with the smell of romance.
Beneath a flushing sky, as a rosy day comes to an end.
Pinking cheeks and a tender kiss.
Delicate heart candies and cookies top with adorable messages.
Tipsy off of tasty pink margaritas, that flushes the nose and cheeks.
Bubbly laughter that rises from the lungs, causes one's vision to pink even more.
A lovely delicate hue, for you, when you're filled with romance.
Simply remember such a soft hue, and then you won't feel so bad.

Premium MemberRemembering Those Saturdays

In the morning we were fresh and alert.
Taking an art class every Saturday
So we could go up on the teacher’s pay scale.
There were three of us. Marty, Katy and me.

We found a restaurant that we adored – the Pier.
Their food was amazing, and they would bring a pitcher of margaritas.
The pitcher was only eight dollars, and we looked forward to it
More than the food.

We became charming, hilarious, beyond witty by one o’clock
When my eyes were so blurry I could barely drive back to the class.
The afternoons were filled with our loudest ugliest laughter.
I would catch Marty’s eye and we would go off into huge gales.

After a couple of weeks of this we began to order two pitchers.
Sometimes arriving back at the class a bit late.
Laughing at the teacher’s consternation.
None of us passed, but it was so worth it.

And our work was hilarious
And we became fast friends.
I still catch Katy’s eye at a faculty meeting
And we both begin laughing remembering those Saturdays!
