Come on! Is that the best blast you've got?
Your thunder tantrums don't scare me - Your flash and flare they're half hot!
I love this dunder, blunder, thunder, and underhand rumble-in-the-jungle!
Touché! Olé! We're duellin' again with fork-pronged lightn' sparkling lances.
Clang! Bang! Ker-pow! Ker-plunk! Ker-thump! - Your thunder's late by years!
I flash, bash, smash, crash, gnash — while your Ker-boom goes boom blah, blah, Ahah!
Your quick flashback, claptrap wisecracks come back five seconds late.
Bolt after bolt, your jolts, revolts, cheap-shots and pot-shots hit my ear flaps.
All roar, no score, no gore, no nosebleeds — just air stabs in ionized air.
By then your temper, torage, outrage, out in the garage is binned — You lost!
You ain't learned nothin' from last night's plate-a-smashin' dry run.
Oh No! Don't let the rain come down!
We're both having far far too much fun!
You can't resist, can you — spoiling the perfect row —
By making up, way, way, way ..... too soon!
A few more screws loose, some buttons missing
forgetful more often than not
Some days better, most days worse
just part of the prep for casket and hearse
“Let Loose”
The draw of the heart stings,
pulls me up like music strings
into the never-ending universe of you.
Your majestic symphonies unheard,
are felt in the imprint of each word,
and pull me up into your unravelling,
a beautiful symmetry,
pearl stitching the unknown mystery
that is you.
I feel the poetry that stings you
in every word you breathe,
where in dreams, keys are played
in abstract scores
and love,
gone black and white,
no colour, is for another's Kafka page.
I watch you strum your heart strings
like they are golden chords
runaway with the wild things,
Let loose -
I start to believe,
in better things.
The draw of the heart stings,
pulls me up
like music strings,
into the beautiful secrets
of all bigger things;
My silent voice sings
Candide Diderot. ‘26
Loose lips,
Are a lip readers dream,
A schemers worst nightmare,
And a journalists bread and butter.
lopsided loose-lipped Louie
wanted to be called Dewey
His mom said don’t be “foo-ey”
People will think Huey, Dewey and Louie
I don’t care said lopsided loose-lipped Louie.
So that’s what we decided to do- eeee
My fight with the pencil sharpener was unceremonious and desperate
And afterwards my hands smelt like metal
Torn skin stuck to my sheets
And my pyjamas burned through
I couldn’t get the plasters off the next morning
And my soul heaved with shame
I told you it was a one time thing but by the time I told you that I’d already done it twice
And I planned on it happening again
They place their storms in my shaky hands
stitched,tied and yet useful
Broken is I.
And for a while even the moon dims
no stitch is ever tied enough;
the loose threads forever stay
Lips'
Chaff and chatter, lying loose
Lips!
We are all in it..' we're all a part.' Each action and reaction.. The stops and starts
We have also the oil, of the Spirit thats Number One..Apply it librally or the rust will
Come it starts in flecks..Its liable to grow its a sickness acedemia, is most liable to know' it seizes.' It captures first off its exponents..I thrives in humidity and damp
Also neglect is prime' and our silence to opponents.' Contend for the faith..Or the
Cycle will not move. A moribund agenda will emerge, and all people much will loose'
When it feels like the walls are crashing down
Don't loose faith
God works in ways that all things will turn out fine
Whatever we face and have to go through
God will stand right beside you
don't loose faith
When we feel we can not go on
and our hearts feel they can not sing
Don't loose faith
Whatever our situation whatever we need
He will provide each and everything
Trust God in all things
Even the things we may not understand
He knows what he is doing and will lead the way
He is with us every second of every day
Don't loose faith
To God hold on to him tight
He is the one for us he stands and fights
He takes our battles and brings peace
Don't loose faith
With him all our fears he will release
Keep moving forward one step at a time
and don't loose faith
For with God we know all things will turn out fine. Amen
The battle belongs to the Lord Amen
Stay in the place between your future and your past to not loose your self.
To find Sanity, loose your Mind.
Loose your Mind to find Sanity.
A casual november sunday morning
Going to take it easy and relax
Then off to a roar
Wordku: 5-7-5 words
AP: Honorable Mention 2025
George was a prankster, at least one screw loose
Peed in a bottle, tagged it orange juice
His mom drank it all down
Then she started to frown
Her face turned red, then white ~ then chartreuse
