Why must a leader, I wonder, in the whisper of thoughts flowing like a river,
make you follow them, crawling through the dust of doubts,
in a silent revolt on the body of generous dreams,
for the captain has left the soul sinking in deep waters.
Every word carries a story, an image of a double-edged sword,
that splits truth from lie, cutting illusions with precision,
if you can cut, cut and believe, even in what is wrong,
for sometimes mistakes hide lessons in their deep shadows.
The clowns have turned yellow under the tiring lights of the circus,
led by the words of strange allies of convenience,
and the deep meaning is nothing more than a shallow depth,
a paradox in which we lose ourselves, seeking the truth.
I ask if time will ever tell the truth so we can move on,
for eternity lies just beyond the shadow,
where hearts find peace and echo,
where time becomes a journey towards light.
Touch the source, the heart where it all begins, drowned in an ocean of words,
where silence speaks first, revealing the hidden essence,
they never truly say what it means to thirst,
to ardently seek the root hidden in the depths.
But I will reach the truth, emerging from the jungle of illusions,
to prove that I am the captain of my own joy,
to find trust in the hearts I touch,
for there lies the root of our true power.
For love, there is much left to say, true love leads us,
follow your heart to the pure light that embraces us,
it is divine to define our trust,
hands clasp in a peace only we create, a sanctuary of souls.

A poet of no reputation
A still small voice in a world of many nations
Spilling out from within my soul
To every ear both young and old
But as a gentle breeze passing over unseen
A phantom a thought a midnights dream
I am here I am there
I am now and forever every where
Not by presence in time and space
Not by appearance of body and face
But by word spread far and near
Posted to be read to those who will hear
My mission is simple and humble at heart
To touch each soul with a smile and spark
To entice each mind to think
To wonder and from lifes fountain to drink
A wine of inspiration
From this vineyard of a poet of no reputaion
Ouch.... Forgot to enter the contest.... This has happened many a time.... a sure sign of advancing age :( :(
Riding down on the wheels of Time,
Through the bends and curves of weary life,
Pleasure it was to halt awhile,
At the start of life as a little kid,
Much we enjoyed those carefree days,
With fun and frolic all around,
Nothing to bother and none to nag,
Far removed from staring gaze
Great it was to ‘dwell’ inside,
The house we built with twigs and leaves.
We donned the guise of ‘Dad and Mom’,
And ate the dish, we cooked instant.
Fun it was to play ‘Hide and Seek’,
With friends reversing the roles in turn,
The cop chasing the thief in hide,
And the thief evading the cop in chase
Foolish it was to bury beneath,
Many a coin-shining bright,
With hopes to see them sprout some time,
Yielding thousands for the autumn pick.
As the rain comes tumbling down,
With water filling every pond and well,
We devised far brighter schemes,
To enjoy life in better ways
We caught the ants and lady birds,
And put them inside paper boats,
We watched them being set afloat,
Over the muddy puddles left by rain
With thrill gripping every nerve,
And wonder glistening our curious eyes,
We caught the ‘Minnows’ one by one,
Those trapped within the towel spread
Picking each with careful hands,
We moved them into a tiny pond.
Darting down and coming up,
We watched them, swim all around.
Little things and petty scenes,
Thus filled our hearts with instant joy
Life never seemed dull or drab,
With each day holding its own charm,
Bliss it was that childhood state,
But sad, it remained a brief interlude,
Staying here on this distant shore of life,
The other side seems greener far!
(I started writing poems only from 2007. Before that I never knew I could write poetry. It was a time when I was bedridden for about four months. Overcome by dejection and boredom, I started writing poems to while away my time. Later it became a passion for me. This is one of my earliest writes in 2007)

at night, when the blue moon calls out to all wild things,
its azure a calming wave in the bottomless screaming night
I walk in time and with each furthering step,
sweeping strides
which pay more mind to any journey than its subsequent destination,
I wonder what translucent fish hook has ensnared me, finding myself dragged from bed each evening,
restless body and brain,
suffering from some kind of phantom pain
which wines and aches
each second i stay in one place
so I swim through these dull grey streets
crossing sides when i see
something move in my periphery
avoiding eyes because to me they bleed
through my thin skin and creep
on the contents of my lungs
filled to the brim with this past
i continuously try to Ash
for the last time

Here comforted I can curl away from boisterous hurls..” Poet, from poem : Sea Wants Me

The Tree in My Front Garden
The stalwart tree that stands erect
Proud against a cloudy backdrop
Bows faithfully in my front garden
A sculpted wonder created by time
With arms to encompass life itself
Allowed to live and still not hewn
A breezy giant for feathered friend
Where perches exude from generous girth
Light brown and roughly textured
Encompassed by a feathery spree
Of permanent jade
That sings and sways into the wind
Fragile atop, yet terra firma,
A silent bystander that guards the fore
Whispering caution about the trespass
Amid its wooden realm
Inclining loyal friend that seeks
To brush the pane with true affection.
I know she doesn't think so but she's always on my mind. Most these days in gentle ways, but always there to find.I think about her happiness and how she sees her life.I wonder of her journey as a woman and a wife.
Sometimes I hear the sadness in her voice right from the start, when loneliness has pierced her pride and bruised her tender heart.I wish I could drop everything and rush to ease her strife, but we both know that's how it goes and that's just not real life.
I often find I worry for her needs in days to comeand pray she keeps her faith in where her strength is coming from.I think about the parallels of all that we've been throughand hope I have the answers if she asks me what to do.
No matter where life takes her in my heart she's always near, though many-a-day, I have to say, I wished that she were here. She's right where she's supposed to be and somehow so am I,Influencing my thoughts in ways that make me want to try.
Although we live our separate lives and try to stay in touchwe know we'll have each other's backs if ever in a clutchThere's never been a day go by I didn't wake to findIn some small way, like yesterday, she's always on my mind.

No acknowledgement could be
commensurate nar e'er
equivalent to countless years (scores of orbitz
of unexplored wonder) – left...
(with millstones around neck)
to atrophy on severe truncated
limb mitts, now cause
for silent lachrymose as this
brother doth brook a wake
his pained self actualization
(particularly predicated on
decade number six
unavoidably approaching) uptake
analogous to 2001 A Space Odyssey,
when closing scene
of the film - image of embryonic
"Starchild" left a slake
king unshakable reverberation
Also Sprach Zarathustra
echoing in me noggin since
opening soundtrack did quake
of a much younger self, when seeing
the movie did overtake
puzzlement until I read the book
"aha" awareness did make
that minor mystery resolved, and
now childhood's end keepsake
recalled as the time thy vulnerable
psychological state did intake
pelting asteroid storm cratering a boy
who shied away, to forsake
growing up, and now haunted (akin
to ghost of Marley) not "FAKE"
shackled to an un freed spirit, that
got squelched as if a sudden brake
got jammed propelling this then puny
body electric...now doth ache.
Some people still say "How do you do"
Do what, I always wonder
I don't know how to answer this
That's something I must ponder on the next time I meet
Someone in the street
Would it not be better to say Hello and How are you?
Instead of as I've said before, that nonsensical " How do you do?"
I've done nothing since I've risen out of bed
I know I must be breathing because I'm hoping I'm not dead
This is not possible and simply can't be true
Unless of course the case may be
That you are dead too
You are still standing, standing in front of me
Looking all superior as anyone can be
How do I answer this question
I've decided I won't
"How do you do" is nonsense, so my answer is I don't
I’m a slap-dash person;
That is just the way I roll,
For when I start a project,
Ending quickly is my goal.
I rarely measure things; instead
I look and take a guess,
So underneath each picture hung,
The wall’s a hole-filled mess.
Today I fixed a cabinet
Which needed to be spruced.
I’d ordered paint and liners
For the shelves to give a boost.
I emptied all the contents,
Wiped things down and dipped the brush.
I didn’t sand, just slapped that paint
Like always, in a rush.
I waited half an hour,
‘Til the cabinet felt dry,
Then lined the shelves, replaced the food
And I’m not gonna lie…
It’s far from perfect, but it’s clean
And though it’s not quite new,
To assemble one fresh from a box
I really hate to do.
So in my slap-dash fashion
I’ve fulfilled my latest task.
If you wonder if I’m feeling proud,
You shouldn’t have to ask.
