In deep slumber madness, she comforts me
Appearing, unencumbered, from the mist
Subconscious suspension our nightly tryst
Erasing my mind of bad memories
She mends and warms my soul so tenderly
Imbibing my thoughts and heart with her kiss
Lovingly fulfills a long ago wish
Thankfully restoring my sanity
Regularly she visits in silence
Enlightening my dreams with wholesomeness
Wiping my tears of angered betrayal
Exchanging her love for malevolence
I awaken with renewed happiness
Refreshed from the angelic portrayal

Wholesomeness

WHOLESOMENESS :

How bad this thing is,
For befriending colleagues he found in the office,
Who posited to have him dismissed.
In sheep cloaks they were his frenemies.
They all became very close,
Starts sharing personal life goals.
Showing themselves what each other knows.
Boom,rapport flows.
When the friendship seemed to grow,
Suddenly, they enviously had him opposed,
Unnecessarily as everything roughly goes.
Went about having his good intentions twistedly exposed,
So that administration will let him go home.
By grace it didn't happen as he hoped,
Even he wasn't reproached.

Such malicious things some people do.
Came back acting as if they've done nothing bad to him.
Good he now prevents them from seeing his moves,
So they don't make him feel confused.
Whenever opportunity appears on desk,
They choose to give them out instead.
Although he deserves them since he's the best,
And he works earnestly without stress.
But sake of discrimination,it goes to someone else.
God's work on him was in progress.
On his calender he's always placed first.
He is now a C.E.O of his own company
Sometime past he questioned himself "why?"
Thought nothing would have been fine.
Got locked up in his mind,
As he wished he could just die,
And leave this globe behind,
"Suicidal thoughts",
I prayed he doesn't confine.
Everything was going to be fine.
Jehovah keeps him with his eyes,

From the heavens, down to this earth.
The battle was hard but it's well.
Stood in front of a mirror,
Saw nothing but horror.
Stranded in meditation like moron.
Lost taking the stricture.
Couldn't identify himself in clear picture.
Unemployment, financial issues torn his structure.
All he wished for was restructure,
For life to return better.
He stayed in solitary all that while.
Praying all he's going through beguiles.
Day to day, ensuring his experiences are compiled.
After the dust settles down he'll reminisce and smile.
That's today, where life looks beautiful with his children and wife.
And everybody testifies about it, as everybody admires.

Premium Member Night Angel: a Collaboration With Daniel Turner

This is presented in a series of three sonnets in a collaboration
between Daniel Turner and Lin Lane.
They are based on the original sonnet of Daniel's "Night Angel."
Thank you, Danny, for the inspiration and for allowing me to
give poetic voice to your Night Angel.

                  **********
Rest easy, dear one. Night Angel is here
To ease the worry from your furrowed brow
Kiss to the cheek, I lay upon you now
In your sweetest dream you will feel me near
Memories of your past no longer live
No need for tears to fall from pain or stress
Tender love I offer in my caress
Gift of my thoughts to you this night I give
Wake on the morrow, glad to greet the sun
Knowing night has me coming through the mist
To comfort once more when your cheek is kissed
As Night Angel hovers o're her loved one
Though I must wait till night sends its moonbeams
I shall never leave you lost in your dreams

                 **********
Undeserving am I, for such mercy
A sinner and tormented vagabond
Cavorting with strumpets in Babylon
Rendering my soul hungry and thirsty
Yet nightly, through the mist you come tersely
Descending with your kindness from beyond
Blessed with your kiss my memories abscond
Overfilling my heart with love firstly
Night Angel, I have prayed for forgiveness
From the midst of my dreams, am again whole
By the magnificence of your meekness
My conscience is now bending from stiffness
The morning sun brings new light to my soul
Now no longer will ever go sleepless

The whole Cosmos delights in night dreaming,
Where Sun and Moon entwine in astral projection.
The Cosmos listens to the sky's calling,
Knowing we're part of this great connection.

The forest presents green variety,
For which Moonlight holds great reverence.
Each tree and leaf beckons true piety
As Sunlight shows its high benevolence.

Have you ever felt the Blue Moon's grace,
Or lain beneath the entranced Full Moon?
The sky smiles with Moonlight's magical face,
Shining through the soft trees aligned and tuned.

Healing oneself in nature's vast kingdom
Is to restore the self to wholesomeness.

On the Hatred For the Wholesome, Part Ii

...But then there is the second reason,
one that I think is much more malign,
one that comes from the P.C. brigades,
one that's craving control of your mind.

See families don’t vote for the left,
or they do at a much lower rate,
people with wholesome family values
are much harder to manipulate.

It’s the same reason pedophiles
target families that don’t have a dad,
they know that brings them easier pray,
no one to stop their intentions bad.

If you believe people are just clay,
as so many damn socialists do,
then the good ideas tested by time
are seen as a great hindrance to you.

If dysfunction is what makes people
look to you when they’re in need of cash,
then anything which threatens than chain
is something you must get rid of fast.

And since families with two parents
often do well enough on their own,
you’ll do anything to stop that trend,
even if it means breaking a home.

You’ll fill the airwaves with bad role-models,
then declare that you’re just ‘being real,’
you will say that everything’s okay
as long as it’s what you really feel.

You’ll declare that single motherhood
is just as good as a dad and mom,
and if anyone tries to correct
you’ll decry them as sexist and wrong.

You’ll make everything political,
and leave the people with no refuge,
you’ll turn aside all beauty and grace
to celebrate the ugly the crude.

You’ll label good people as backwards
for wanting a spouse and some children,
then you will cheerlead debauchery
so that nobody imitates them.

You won’t see society falling,
just the power you wish to achieve,
these people who badmouth wholesomeness
care not a bit if they make you bleed.

Gathered around a campfire
Folks sing, clap, and dance
Take me home on country roads
Rocky Mountain high
High above an eagle circles
A passing deer pauses
Other critters awaken
To listen to John Denver
... sing
... of nature and relationships
Where his songs light the fire
And where his heart lights the night
With wholesomeness
... and sentiment and nostalgia
As the night warms on
And more logs are added to the fire
The intimacy grows
A pipe is passed around
Along with a bottle of whisky
As women and men gather closer
To the man, John Denver
Seated in front of the camping fire
... and holding fort to his songs
... with a guitar in his arms
the sunshine on his shoulders
Bespeckled with his blond shaggy hair
Denver fills the air
... leaving on a jet plane
... timeless, down to earth and fun
For this night he played to the crowd
... the Rocky's came alive
His good side, he's the life of the party
Where the exterior of the man is admiring
Denver graced the cover of 40 Albums
Covering four decades
His superlatives include
One of the world’s best-known and admired performers
Songwriter, performer, actor, environmentalist and humanitarian
He also loved poetry (poet laureate), dabbled in aviation and Nasa
However, it would be pretentious to exclude his bad side
... and this is where the passing deer from above sheds a tear
... and perhaps many of his fans
Because behind all that charm is a curse
Denver, according to many accounts on the net, was bad
He was a bad human
A bad drunk, chronic smoker, wife beater, and a bit whacko
Denver died in 1997 in a plane crash, in a plane that he built
Today the Rocky's are full of nature and life
With tall mountain ridges, forests, lakes, and rivers
And well-traveled trails, like the man
Somewhere a motorist is pantomiming one of his songs
... and smiling

Frozen In a Bag

frozen in a bag
i can still move, but i am numb
i question the circulation of my blood
my derriere is raw
my stomach stays gurgling
hello, my dear gastroenterologist
charmed to meet you in this altered state of permanence
in this moment, all i can think about is 'once upon a time'
in this moment, what creeps into my head is 'colorectal cancer'
now i become deathly afraid of my threatened mortality
i wanna run, but then i would constipate myself and i could not live with that
so i reluctantly decide to stay
i pray for the wholesomeness of the thawing.......
.....frozen in a bag.....

Paranoid's Got Nothing On Me, But Freedom To Ask The Tooth Faerie About The Change...

Speak of the dental
A really weird visit to the pain and philosophy chair
Sparkles and earned stars, for another purpose under the stars
Has no choice, but to know how a hungry mouth has a sigh to fare

Seek and you shall find, open and say aaahhh, a new pain in the ass that can
With the emphasis of numbness and hurry, to catch a tooth's pride
In the act of hurt and fate, to get rid of a chance encounter with mysteries man?
Live and let live say I, the fate you are composing is a speed that begins to cry

Angels and hosts of decisions to appear, and dread the coming road to oblivion
Time in retrospect for faster control, the strength to fashion is hate's judgment
Moving so fast and ready to confirm itself a problem, of a worldly season of lies and living
Coming and going in joy and purpose, to help the speed of truth pass by alet

So, mouthful of possibility...
What has the moment of pride to come clean?
Like forever in a sanitary dish, the future has named us a real dizziness
Mumble, mumble spit in trouble, the truth of my pain on the double, is your the devil mean...

So dentist of truth, why the little white lie?
Seemingly the voice of me to prove, the lie of my fascination is your bad breath
Liberty, staunchness, sanity, sharing and wholesomeness; to profess a prudent crime
Having one less tooth, is my soul desire to get rid of a curious lie in the face of death?

On the Hatred For the Wholesome, Part I

It seems to be something of a trend
to dump on happy endings these days,
and anything that shows moral sense
brings calls to be cancelled right away.

The only thing the elites accept
is the dysfunctional and depraved,
anything else must be childish,
from 'simple minds' mired in cliché.

I’ve been alive long enough to see
that yes, the world can be truly cruel,
But I have seen that just as often
it can be a hundred shades of cool.

And to demonize the wholesomeness
that some entertainment will provide,
to scoff at all the family values
that brought the millions fulfilled lives,

how does that make a person feel smart?
How do they not realize, in their brains,
that life has as much light as darkness,
that there’s more than just wallowing pain?

I admit there is real value in
examining things that make us hurt,
but isn’t there as much value in
looking into what makes this world work?

I think it comes down to two reasons,
and the first I say half-way in jest,
to me it seems our society
is a victim of its own success.

To put it simply, some folks are bored,
with the type of life that we all have.
Where once we struggled just to survive,
now we feel fat and lazy and bad.

The morals we used to celebrate
worked so well they became commonplace,
we forgot how they built our nation,
assumed they were the natural state.

And given the questing human mind,
we went out looking for something new,
but when things are good you only find change
flirting with less moral points-of-view.

You start to fetishize the bad-boy,
romanticize all the criminals,
of course, you're safe while your doing this,
so you don’t comprehend it in full.

And then it creeps into the culture,
hidden by buzz-words like ‘tolerance,’
but like any drug, the hit wears off,
and you need more and more decadence.

Until you’ve been immersed so damn long
that you think it is all that is real,
that there’s nothing but the decadent,
and you are so desperate just to feel.

Some people are destroyed by all this,
others burn out and make a retreat,
realize the wholesome is not that bad,
and away from the cities they beat...

CONCLUDES IN PART II.
