What would it be like to start all over again,
I mean isn’t that the reason, so many of us pen,
It just opens up every unknown possibility,
Some beautiful some dark, others downright ugly,
But alas the truth is, we’ll probably never know,
Unless I endeavor to reverse time’s flow,
Oh here we go again, he’s still living in the past,
Well actually I’m not, it’s more a forecast,
Picturing the future, not as hard as it seems,
We do it every night, yeah but only in dreams,
Still have to wake up, and face tomorrow,
Make ends meet, work, pay back what we borrow,
Now this is the bit where I go quite insane,
Stand back as I cast off these holding chains,
Oh Christ! he’s just done another line of cocaine,
No I’m clean and sober, or so I maintain,
Gonna get hypnotized by this shrink I know,
Put in a permanent stupor, my life I’ll forego,
Wander this planet, with my head in the clouds,
On every continent have a fabulous house,
Leave behind the rat race, start a new religion,
Where there’s no big brother, and no supervision,
Do all this by surrogate, from my own living room,
Embedded forever in this simulated womb,
Will make time go slowly, say one minute a year,
So a day is a Millennium, time will almost disappear,
When I make love will last, the whole century long,
The agony of ecstasy, oh my will is so strong,
Passion will be bliss, happiness put on tap,
No death, gonna rid my world of all this crap,
Write beautiful poetry, til the cows come home,
Muse about Italy, Venice, Naples and Rome,
Oh god I’m flying high, soaring unchained,
Not an ache in my body, slight twinge or pain,
A demigod of nature, gladiator fighting to be free,
come on join in, spend a moment here with me,
All the haters, you’ll be expelled to hell,
Liars and time wasters, yeah you as well,
I will not stop, gonna raise the dead,
Well only the good ones, under my bed?
Boy that was great, was it good for you too,
And for a moment, I was really there, it’s true,
No need to get drunk, wasted out of my mind,
Open up your imagination, it’s simply sublime.
85 billion neurons, in the average human brain,
Stars in the Milky Way, more or less the same,
Please listen when I tell you, never be restrained,
Reality of truth’s alive, not to find it is a shame.

Venice, Italy, is a crazy shamozzle of new and old
Where junk, graffiti, decay, stunning beauty,
history and culture poverty and opulence, all reside side by side, bobbing.
Water dominates the landscape, canals and waterways replace all the roads
Everything is carried by boat, food, people, garbage, produce, industrial supplies.
Ambulances, fire engines, delivery trucks and police cars are all replaced by boats.
The disorderly rusty ferries ply the waterways, jostling along with gondolas, magnificent polished wooden water taxis,
Occasionally the historic scene is ruined by modern fiber glass runabouts
with huge outboard motors completely out of place.
Next comes barges with cranes, garbage collecting boats, delivery and construction supply boats, and the many service vehicles.
Grab a table beside the canals and watch the parade of boats old and new jostle and bobble on by.
Walk through the tiny crowded streets and enjoy the kaleidoscope of people of many cultures enjoying themselves.
There are many surprises. Tiny shops with feet in large glass tanks being cleaner by fish.
Everywhere there are places to explore and things to enjoy.
Looming off in the distance you may see huge cruise liners dwarfing the buildings,
These vessels are seemingly populated by ants, as the ships are so big.
The ancient church bells in Venice chime as the ships depart arrive and depart, in homage to the new god of tourism.
The Palace art is simply overwhelming, overloading your senses.
Ancient art is everywhere and often ignored.
Venice is beautiful, but one gets the impression that all the photographs taken in Venice
are gradually sucking out the life force out of the structures, hastening their decay.
There are so many dimensions and experiences, places to explore that you never get tired of Venice.
The more times you visit the better you will like it and the more you will find to do and see.
You have to laugh and ignore the hassles, the jostling crowds, the regimented crowded ferry system,
the pushing and shoving of the crowds in the tiny streets,
simply laugh and have fun.
Venice is crazy, nice, with diverse multi-faceted attractions and lots of things to do.
You will love it!
Venice Trice is Nice.
Deep at heart Tim is a dreamer and longs for 'that' dream
And still and in certain arrest he is a child of gone times
His parents Hans and Ida had told him in misleading terms
‘You can do anything you want. . .’
They meant he’s bright and energetic even perfect and
While they had been kind and full of encouragement
The died long before he would abandon that prison
‘We fought the war and you must be free’
A pragmatist full of rational shackles dead to the core
He ponders for meaning caught up in emotional files
Sits under a canopy of figs and waits for the Buddha
‘I see a forest but where is the tree’
‘They’ say that the path is destination its very own aim
The road arduous and tricky and full of obstacle’s way
Sisyphus’ boulder could encroach the slope of the cliff face
‘Let it go but the harvest needs tilling’
Contradictions keep contravening mindful anticipation
Opposites obscure the harmony of synthesized bliss
Subconscious shadows loom in archetypal struggles
‘The conquest fights the lonely survivor’
Tim forfeits his axes to grind and carves his own shell
Forges gun into ploughshares and picks up a flower
Confuses meditation with mediation and forces the mould
‘Leviathan did not levitate he fell on his sword’
Every now and then he can feel the wind of his change
It might carry him to a rainbow and the Source of it all
Yet while knowledge bodes well it is futile without action
‘His fugue eludes the flute of sweet fruit’
He cannot sit still for he is a doer constrained by performance
But the dog on his shoulders resembles a poodle in a circus
A puppet on strings of comical drama a Pavlovian canine
‘Grin and bear it but do not stay idle’
Unleashed by the fangs of Odysseus Tim travels his underworld
Face down belly up he reaches for breath in a bubble of light
Tears at smears and disguise of a mask larger than Venice
‘All water reaches the ocean’
There are bridges and channels and at long last a pier onto
Which he drags his weatherworn body his mind and his soul
Someone left a message draped in simplicity on the pontoon
‘The sole purpose is living one step at a time’

Have you ever wondered what a Dream Vacation would be like?
I have this chance to ponder.
I could fly anywhere, but I would rather take a 'Sleeping Car Train' to my destination. I have never travelled by train, even when I made my first visit to Europe. So, this would be a first. I'd sleep from twelve am to five am as I watch from my private berth.
The sun rising, streaming warm air on the window of my berth. Some cumulus clouds so puffy, large and white in a background of light blue sky, with a view from my berth enlarging as I greet the morning time.
I am transformed by its sight while the train speeds down track and enters a darken tunnel that takes away my cumulus cloud sight of puffy white and light blue sky. However, this is not all one sees. As we roll past green grass and yellow meadows that look like blue water with yellow sprigs of flowers moving so fast under my eyes. Once in a while I catch a glimps of an animal: a cow or a pig maybe even a horse.
And all the time while the train is in motion that chug, chug along the tracks
sing with melody to the view outside my berth window. Although I am a little
far from the dining car, I swear I can smell the lushious Canadian bacon and farm eggs with cheese that go with that melody of song on the tracks. Clicky clack, clicky clack and a chug, chug from the locomotive engine of the train.
As I walk to the dining car fully clothed, I know that smell instantaneously. And I fall into the chair as I am being served. By now the sky has turned a jet blue and the cumulus clouds have somewhat distance themselves from view.
Each day that I am on the train I ponder how long before I get to my final destination? Although, I knew before I took this ride how long it would be. I have gotten so caught up in the ride, that I don't want to leave the train. Just keep riding and riding. Through this journey I will see small hills and large mountains, lakes over bridges and many small towns until I reach my final destination which is Rome, Italy to Venice. I will speak with other passengers and train personnel. It will be a ride I will never forget.
Thank you for sharing my dream vacation..
I've always yearned to be free,
Free in my mind,
Free in my soul,
Free in my heart,
Just free.
I remember a moment in Venice,
Strolling along,
Sun setting,
In the distance, people dancing,
Music playing,
Those people were free.
I found myself drifting away,
Towards the crowd,
And I joined,
Arms open, dancing,
Just dancing,
Eyes closed,
Moving my body in pure freedom.
I was free,
Soaring higher into the sky,
With the birds,
Lost within myself,
Carefree,
Just free.
I want to be free,
I want my mind to explore the unknown,
I don't want to sink into a comatose state,
But that's what they expect,
Quiet,
Calm,
Afraid of my thoughts,
Afraid of my freedom,
What are they afraid of?
The fear of being free,
I'm trapped.
I find myself craving solitude,
My words don't connect,
I'm confused,
My dreams are vivid,
They wake me at night, and I fear sleep,
My dreams trouble me,
What's their purpose?
Who am I?
I'm asking myself that question again,
Who am I?
I am Paul,
Or at least, a different version of myself,
I hover somewhere, searching for myself,
Striving to be the free, peaceful person I once was,
My thoughts are draining me,
I want to soar again.
It's been nearly six years,
I went from riches to rags,
I had everything I ever wanted,
Now, I want something else,
But what is it?
How do I find it?
By returning to the world of men?
I don't want that,
I need to get lost once more,
I want to find myself,
But I'm married,
And I have responsibilities to others,
But what about my responsibility to me?
I come first,
But if I put myself first, others are upset,
I have to please everyone,
I have to wear a smile when I'm sad,
I have to be happy when I'm not,
I have to shower when I want to retreat within myself,
I need to be free,
Something to free my mind.
But now I have to work,
More responsibilities I don't desire,
I want to take care of only myself,
Am I selfish?
Sometimes I am, and I believe it's okay,
Why wouldn't it be?
The essence of life is freedom,
Freedom from the trappings of mankind,
Freedom from people,
I want to be alone,
Without the drugs that ensnare me

Why An Imam with a mobile
is the last thing you will want
For today,
Has many reasons,
many more to come in days to come!
As your palm is already junk
in a once hopeful Palmetto Room
Stanza is an Italian Word. Synonym. Antonym. Room.
Unfolding world, Father in dreams.
The loudest caricature it can be
And I am never in it.
Magnanimity talks in a life in many single unique ways.
You will woe me there
You are allowed to kill me in my already damaged spirit, there
But never care to be a mentor, in any.
I simply gather them, one after another.
A saga of follicular tonsillitis, of another kind of story.
With your seasonal hype of remembering.
Why he is an obvious pro,
has many things to term in later version in Disney hypes
He is a pro. An avid one.
Just Like T-Mobile, Verizon, and every other mobile app sound in different servitudes,
in Qibla-Fatherhood
in
fixation of a possessive noun,
in finding chores for other-end-clan.
A little bit delayed flight
to find the other clan pro,
And know for sure
to be slave in need
Is a prominent slavery too,
The core- shift between
our Fard and Rizq is simply playing play-doh
And I am asking the magnificent Parthenon in me,.
How should I treat the greatest guest of all?
A once residual world, still beating in rhymes and reasons?
After a lonely breakfast, treating lunches or dinners?
Should there be the most special;
red colored bowls or glass particles in ambient grace?
Just as the Imam beforehand
Got entertained? Seducing Alcohol in slavery?
Should we ever really wake up, at all, for any?
In the shylock need in the magnificent Marchant of Venice talk?
Antonio, Bassanio and Portia and all kinds of junk,
labeled as potatoes...
And, if not potatoes, must be tomatoes only!
And honor thy need, and be thy soulful voice, as the bending need
It is humility indeed!
Sagas of Floating water, you simply need to be patient enough
To treat the nostrils that comes in pairs
Too much cold for an already slant poetry,
Fusing in truce and treaties!
The metropolitan area consists of everything like theaters, museums, restaurants, and a lot of hotels and skyscrapers. But most of all, the cities are filled with public transportation(city buses, subways, trains, taxi cabs, and airports, e.g.) and a lot of luxurious vehicles. Whether anyone is in either New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Tokyo, Toronto, London, or wherever, the city is everybody’s lives. It seems that all metropolitan areas are considered awesome vacation spots, even for tourists. The metropolitan areas from the United States of America and the world each have a lot of famous landmarks, especially those of the Gateway Arch, the Empire State Building, the Golden Gate Bridge, Big Ben, etc. All downtown areas are best known for attracting would-be city folks to go to, and that’s a real fact. Well, frankly, all cities from the United States of America and beyond are harder to get away from, even in the Los Angeles area of Hollywood,California. And imagine my surprise when I found out that Downtown Ft. Worth, Texas, has a movie theater and a Barnes & Noble book store. Being from the metropolitan area has its awesome advantages, especially when he or she has been influenced by the hip-hop culture and the urban culture. Well, I guess this is just the essence of urban living. The cities also have cooler downtown apartments in the downtown areas, especially in Dallas and in Ft. Worth. Boy, if I were to visit either Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Venice, Italy, London, England, Charlotte, North Carolina, or wherever, I’d stay there for a week or tow; I’d bring back some souvenirs. I wonder if the cities will still be there and there’s going to be more awesome cities in the future, Well, I guess I’ll never know. We’re all very cool for a bunch of city folks. And when he or she is in the city, it's like driving on the city streets, especially when he or she is driving either a Nissan Armada, a Cadillac Escalade EXT, or one of those BMW vehicles. I’m looking forward to residing in one of the metropolitan areas either out of state or another country, if that were to happen, that would be great.

Form:
I can still recall the look upon His face
Each thought still makes me go to that enchanting place
The vernal air was floral sweet and honey breezed
We roamed along Venice's zigzagged lanes and cobbled streets
On our secret rendezvous,We hugged affectionately under pastel gothic galleries
Greeted by the aromatic smell of freshly brewed roast coffee beans
Strolling along the pigeon-filled piazza San Marco
We wandered hand in hand,in the serenissima ancient floating land
Street musicians played their flutes.as We sat on a roof-top wooden terrace
We glanced at merchants sell hand-blown murano glass
by the picturesque Doge's palace
We ate a snack , then walked away towards the old opera house
which now has risen from its ashes.
We sauntered forward through little alleys
from where He bought me ,a gold painted venetian mask
To my surprise ,He had another gift,a wrapped up scarlet sheer laced basque
I peered at him through my dark lashes,He raised his left brow and flashed a smile
Expressed his charm in playful ways,in a flirtatious endearing style.
Boarded at last on a black gondola, cruised the lagoon and the canals
A few light kisses,a few soft brushes, waiting the bell's toll whilst in his arms
There we lay in waiting beneath the bridge of sighs
We sealed our kiss and promised lips,to the harmonic sound of chimes
He leaned on me,I welcomed Him,our spirits been entwined
Above, the sky has changed its colour,I watched the sun set in his eyes
All I am,I gave to him,my enduring heart- His sacred shrine
All that He is He gave to me in once upon a time
Not for the contest, but thanks for the 'Lovemaking in an ancient place contest, inspiration'.
This post is inspired by Ancient Venice and the tale of 'The Bridge Of Sighs'
The tale goes-If you kiss your loved one with the bell's toll of St,Mark's Basilica,
at sunset, beneath the bridge of sighs, the couple seals their love forever.
There is another tale to it,a sad one,but preferred to share the happy one : )
