it's inexplicable how my hurt and anger evaporated
when I learned of your passing
while you were still a living breathing woman
your rejection seared my soul
yet I secretly hoped for reconciliation
aware of the hopelessness
now there is no chance of changing the situation
with my lifeless hopes scattered like your ashes
and finding oblivion
finally
I realise my feelings for you survived
spurned love untwisted at last
love mistaken for hatred now recognised as frustrated fondness
with my memories of our time together treasured
no longer bitter sweet but sadly soulful
and I miss you so much, love
Past psychological development
describes zigzagging mama's yoyo
casually, aye publicize, (asper
mein kampf) personal woe
unpleasant memories indelibly
etched, jagged, scar outlined like ticktacktoe
solitary games invariable resultant
draw between every “x” and each "o"
metaphorical of course for this poetic,
formerly non opportunistic
generic Joe Schmoe,
hoof hound cathartic airing emotionally
rocky terrain, whereby floe
tips of icebergs with poetry I tool
examining, excavating, extracting, et cetera hoe
ping to discover ring visa vis,
why this ordinary fella did not want to grow
up, when on the throes of puberty lugging
"FAKE" nostalgic memories in tow
markedly heavy impossible to shrug
Atlas off (as if yoked with an albatross) also
weighted with Taj Mahal size fountainhead
gushing with emotional phlegm like no
buddies business shockingly deadly toxic
sputum nearly killed me, the only bro
their too hoo (owl right) untwisted sisters
one older, the other younger dough
ting on this then suicidal, impassive, and
ambivalent depressively sullen self burrow
wing boy within my own wormhole unresponsive
to overtures of sincere love - self castrated
particularly social maturation grew
ming this present day subdued chap
still smarting from ravages of anorexia
nervosa, particularly wrought hardy brew
of schizoid personality disorder self
deprivation excruciating frame of mind
as I mercilessly flayed and never grew
to experience ordinary relationships,
hence though married with grown daughters,
nonetheless...pay penance forever rue
man hating price hermetically
sealed wharf from humans,... thus you
cannot reach me, - now adieu!
Face to face , eye to green eye , introduction to an unknown
I pray this concept, unjustified : never to be cloned
A seed planted, nurtured : is now fully grown
An aroma filling my Heart with doubt, I feel so empty : alone
I ask : does my Heart speak lies to YOU ; my most BELOVED
Is my Heart twisted around the evil envy of Jealousy?
How can I say with all my Heart : I LOVE YOU
Without a green eyed monster raising its ugly hackles inside YOU
Will Michael Jordan’s contest : “Twisted” untwist YOUR Heart
Untwist my Heart ; so it can say “ I LOVE YOU Barbara Jean “
With no Jealous repercussions
Dedicated to Barbara Jean Gorelick
Inspired by Barbara and Michael Jordan's Contest " Let's get Untwisted "
Silence originated a scent-
But it fades up-tempo
When real strength walks in.
One move like victory in rise and fall
Steps thumping the ground like a warning,
Revising the mandates with every swagger.
One spray courage like a crown-
Radiant, lucid powerful enough to shift the
Leeway.
Every inhale is affirming space, crisp enough
To make the horizon rise with one.
Silence be funky sporadically-
Truth incarcerated too long in the lightness,
Soone step in, unshaken, untwisted,
Unequivocal.
One deodorize the Silence with one's voice-
Velvet thunder, golden fragments and
Triumphant enough to change the gust of air.
Havoc has taken over this violent nation,
we don't trust our leaders less ourselves;
abolish the Laws and write up new ones?
Is there any hope for reconciliation?
A vicious policeman pressed his knees on George's neck,
and the victim died in the presence of three silent officers
and what followed next was Hellbound meant to break,
then rioters burned, vandalized, and looted stores:
were they thugs or a mob without any morality?
Some changes must be made to address equality!
Is there any hope for the reconciliation of all people,
and bring calm to a society inflicted by disease?
Hold up hands and look to Heaven for blessed unity:
without God, there can be neither peace nor prosperity!
And the latest evil act was the siege of Capitol Hill on January sixth,
some blame Trump for the insurrection: was corruption the cause
inciting the mob and destroy everything in their path with wrath?
Finally, President Trump spoke condemning death and violence!
Is there any hope for the reconciliation of all people
gathered under the star-spangled flag symbol of America's greatness;
and as long as truth is spoken with an untwisted tongue:
all freedoms are guaranteed by a document of indisputable sacredness!
Another neighbour in the building
I saw him from my balcony.
He Twisted up a plastic bag
and carefully hid it, under the tree.
He went back to his car and waited,
Then eventually, drove away.
I waited for hours until it was dark
To see if someone would collect it that day
When no one ever came to see
I gave up and went to bed.
Dreams of what could be inside
Racing through my curious head.
Morning came and I had to know
Of me, my nosiness got the best.
I ran outside and untwisted the bag
To find a very lively nest.
I dropped the bag and ran like hell!
Angry wasps were everywhere!
Now the only part I want to know
Is why he put it there....
Trip tripping over the words
Wheres the same in the strange
I've lost my way
Since the pain
Comes the rain
Walk down my hall of shame
No explanations for these reasons
The places my mind travels
Down this dirty road
Clouded by all the dust
Feelings fall uncleaned
Roughed to the core
My world broken apart
Losely i speak with this untwisted tongue
I wish i could find the words for my misunderstanding
As we grow we seem to split into two very different places
I want to take it all away
Go back to the way we were
But how were we really
Questions are barriers for the answers
Why cant i be the way we were sure to be then than now
My heart is lonely and my mind will never make sense of what has become
But i will try to be more then we were meant to be through us even if that has gone.
