He went into the mountain cave
Hoping his life from Jezebel to save
And a great and mighty wind tore in
But the lord was not in the wind.
Then the earth quaked, and the ridges heaved
But still he wasn't sure that he believed.
He feared imminent death, he felt so alone
The solid earth was full of shattering stone
Then a fire ignited, like candles in air
The trees went in flames, and help was not there
He raised a cloak as defense, dropped his sword
But in the fire there was no sign of the Lord.
He feared quick death, so much chaos around
But through the noise he heard a still small sound.
He walked to the entrance, looked out of the cave
After the destruction - what was left to save?
The voice spoke quietly, said "Why are you here? Go return:
The righteous will join you; the tables will turn."
I'm not sure what the story means
Maybe the idea is all is not what it seems
Perhaps it says to keep your perspective
To maintain hope in an ultimate objective.
When you get to the torrent that you must ford
When you are pursued by an unreasoning horde
When you're inclined to stampede with the herd
Take time to think for yourself, listen for his Word.
"I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)
I am never without it..." E.E. Cummings
The sparkling dawn veneers my heart’s horizon with color,
spreads the sunburst tinges of my timeless yearning,
paints a golden garden blooming with luster of my love,
unfurls the facsimile of your astral floral face I adore.
The patina of radiant rose flushes your cherubic cheeks,
glitters with the grandeur of resplendent pearls of dew,
rhapsody ripples in the mesmeric meadow of my mind,
your heart becomes mine, in the ether of euphoria I float.
In vivacious vale of mind contoured by your charisma,
as I carve an ardent conduit of longing to reach you,
the fervent cloud of my craving melts in a torrent,
makes my love for you a cascading stream I swim.
Flowing with the current of your charismatic allure,
my possessed passion sails to the moonlit bay of bliss,
where your love weaves the lattice of stars in my sky,
in my heart the shine of enchanting sequins I preserve.
Above the horizon at the edge of sky, a somber slate,
on the wings of surging storm nimbus clouds stride.
For the spent golden sun to go down they don’t wait,
unleashed, in rampant rage they all well up and glide.
The silent seamless sky is shaken, shattered asunder,
peels of ebon pile descend in molten deluge of torrent.
Opaque emptiness shuddered by the tearing thunder,
burns in forked flicker for a fraction of time transient.
Flash of lightning blazes in the cold lattice of azure fire,
lazuli light leaves the lingering sound to languish behind,
strikes me with deafening wave, rattling the layers of air,
transfixed in the open by sudden flare I go almost blind.
The sound sinks in the quietude of innate introspection,
the sapphire light shimmers within my serene essence.
The lilac lining of consuming clouds kindles my vision,
my soul immerses in divine bliss at still depth of silence.

"Soon we'll all be free, to exist courageously.”
Quote ~ by Poet
Somewhere over the horizon the sun will shine
Multicoloured rainbows will cast their magic spell
Dark clouds above will disappear in ample time
Signs that tell all is well, freedom from torrent swell.
Streets will come alive again, shops will buzz again
Children abled to play with their pals in fresh air
There’ll be people singing and dancing in the rain
Glad to be out and about without fear or care.
Nothings ever made to last, all things come to pass
Once again we will all be on our merry way
Living the dream, forgetting nightmares of the past
When dawn wakes to a glorious newly sprung day.
There’ll be sweet reunions of family and friends
Elders won't be alone and confused anymore
Jubilation there'll be when the pandemic ends
And a welcome mat lies before the household door.
Somewhere over the horizon the sun will shine
Streets will come alive again, shops will buzz again
Nothings ever made to last, all things come to pass
There’ll be sweet reunions of family and friends.

my stream of consciousness
flows over the smooth at times jagged pebbles
of my day, it grows
into a torrent of thoughts
rapidly hitting against
the boulder of your heart
every waking conscious thought
without a reason or rhyme
or any sort of organized meaning
flows to one destination
you
nothing else
every other event
each and every happening
somehow connects to you
the turbulent or serene
flow of these thoughts go
how, I don't know
to you
what can I do
this babbling cacophony of sound
this disjointed attempt
at existential reality
never shapes into formal thought
only you
I wake, I sleep in you
my dreams are devoid of images
only your eyes
your face
no other trace
my consciousness is you
this stream
this reality
these toughts
would cease to flow
if there weren't your inner glow
Just so you know
you can bathe
get soaked to the inner core
you can dip in for more
bring that narcissism to the fore
I adore
you
my stream
of
consciousness
carries
nothing
but you

The dulcet dawn veneers my heart’s horizon with hues,
spreads the sunburst tinges of my timeless yearning,
paints a golden garden blooming with luster of my love,
unfurls the facsimile of your astral floral face, I adore.
The patina of radiant rose flushes your cherubic cheeks,
glitters with the grandeur of resplendent diamonds of dew,
rhapsody ripples in the mesmeric meadow of my mind,
my heart feels your allure, in the ether of euphoria I float.
In the vivacious vale of mind contoured by your charm,

the fervent cloud of my craving melts in a torrent,
makes my love for you a cascading stream, I swim.
Pulled by the current of your charismatic magnetism,
my possessed passion sails to the moonlit bay of bliss,
where your love weaves the lattice of stars in my sky,
with their sequins you beautify my life to complete me.
He can unfurl his big ears as if to fly
fold them back if he's feeling shy
My little black dog shadows my side
for I belong to the little guy
His tail is long and wags as he barks
He can leap high and jump into your heart
But no one else can touch him
He won't have anything to do with them
If company comes he yelps and growls
His disposition seems really foul
No one sees his sweet side
Very few can stand this little guy
He does not want anyone near me
He barks and snarls till company leaves
I have to grab him as he jumps about
Hold him he freezes and shuts his snout
But if he ever wiggles free
his torrent of barking makes all flee
No one knows his other side
how I keep doors open so he's not denied
To go where ever I need to be
The little dog always follows me
He eats with me and sleeps with me
when gone he stares out the window waiting for me
He even dislikes other dogs too
the little guy loves me true
If I ignore him too long
He barks at me in a tone strong
And leaps into my lap
he curls himself to take a nap
A one-person dog is my little friend
I'll cherish him to the very end
Here upon the poet’s hallowed ground,
my soul I bare for all to see,
I leave my tale of perfect love
and all you mean to me.
For years I’ve wandered aimlessly,
walking blindly in the night,
‘til your soft and tender kiss
unveiled such ardent light.
‘Tis said one never knows,
the breadth of true love’s power;
like a storm it sweeps upon you,
a sudden formidable shower.
I stand now as living testament,
swept up in its raging current.
Logic bows to the heart and soul,
overrun by true love’s torrent.
Like minds, like souls, like hearts;
drowning in self lament,
‘til fate’s fortuitous hand
revealed love’s sweet content.
Once I mocked the poet’s verse
that paid such homage to the soul;
playful dreams and fantasies,
that spoke of halves made whole.
Such mockery is but a fool’s mirage
your touch forever changed me;
you bore witness to life’s verity;
a portent of what living should be.
As the tempest cleared away
once gray skies turned blue.
The pallid now resplendent
as I viewed the world through you.
Now stripped of past vanities,
I stand naked in the sun.
My world forever changed,
when you and I became one.
Emerging from such throes
to the heights of ecstasy,
your soft and gentle touch
has made it all clear to me.
My world forever changed
that day you stole my heart.
The poet’s verse doth ring true;
I’m but half when we’re apart.
So, my muse, I leave my tribute
here where love’s prose grew;
the perfect theatre to tell the world
how much I love you.
“In the burnt meadow of love see life beautiful bloom in the relic of memory” – Quote by Poet
In the expanse of yearning of my fervent sky
I let the enraptured songbird of heart soar high,
glide in the spring-rippled amorous breeze,
bring your fragrance to me through blooming trees.
The sunburst dawn splashed the spectrum of ecstasy,
blossomed the dormant euphoria dreams for me
in the domain of depthless desire that kept burning on,
I didn’t see the dark cloud slither in the slate horizon.
The torrent of darkness in the stream of night
carried away my essence of longing out of sight.
I couldn’t hold your hands and feel your grace,
for you freed yourself from my ardent embrace.
Splintered in the threshold of the tarnished twilight,
in the vortex of turmoil I saw the debris of my delight
disappear in the anguished storm I couldn’t bear.
Demolished, I was sucked into the void of despair.
Expectations disappeared unfulfilled, hit me hard,
unkept promises flung blows of torment inward.
The fire of the wild burnt my mangled mind,
blazed the tender time with you, I would never find.
Through the billowing smoke stifling and blinding,
I came out of the ruin, saw the beauty of life charming.
Before my ember conscience burnt the soul esoteric,
I rose self-consoled from the ashes of memory relic.
Unsatiated cravings open the floodgate of suffering,
the surging torrent of torment tosses the servile soul,
for in the karmic cycle of being born and reborn,
desire doesn’t die, but it’s a blink between life and death.
In the wasteland of the scorched and deserted life,
chasing mirage and clutching my desiccated desires,
I walk listless on the tormenting trail of strife,
pained to the bone marrow, I submerge in sordid mire.
Released from the clasp of the providential destiny,
I try to transcend the expanding limits of time and space.
From the closet of mortal being I strive to set my soul free,
perpetual peace I embrace with the song of my heart.
Distressed mind extracted from sanctum of sense-response,
stilled in the quietude of silent mindfulness pervasive,
finds the rays of divine light at the end of torture tunnel,
where the righteous life gets the insight of unveiled wisdom.
As the innate pristine petals of my soul vibrantly unfurl,
blooming the divine lotus of blissful awareness,
I perceive the shower of His graceful endowment
suffuse me with aura of salvation and happiness.
In the sanctum of tranquility of seamless conscience sky,
I become a bird soaring free, not flying back to old nest again.
As on the wings of timeless bliss my pulsating soul flies
to the halcyon eternity horizon, the euphoria of nirvana I attain.
