It only seems like yesterday
That i met this beautiful lady
Up there
In that city
Between the dessert and the sea
She'd given up
On thoughts of love
Busy providing
For the one's she loved
On that broken heart
Between the

I set about mending that heart
With my love and all my loving

As Kinsman do
They locked her away
In a black dress an apron
As the one's she loved
Couldn't bear the thought
She may love
And be loved more
By this stranger
By the door
Who else
But her love
Will provide for us
And look after our kids

That love was born
And love was buried
That Txt's were send
And left unanswered

The days I counted, that far outnumbered,
this life I led as the seasons changed
A passing moment beneath a mirror,
of boxwood hedges I'd rearrange
These hours floated, now undefeated,
for everywhere was a landing zone
The many people, some friends and colleagues,
could not defend minutes left alone
I'm not complaining or wishing better,
I look around at the world I grew
From first day worries to final blessings,
old routes I took that somehow are new
There is a reason, I've always pondered,
with thoughts of love and those in my wake
To hope for smiles and lines remembered,
of steps and paths, I would tend to take
So now we hurry with slower paces,
the end is near and the date has come
A lowered pencil on reems of paper
and final words that that will sit undone
I whisper thank you to all who read this,
your dreams are waiting, now don't be slow
For, the days I counted, are far outnumbered,
I bid farewell, it is time to go
Thank you everyone
A voice whispers inside my head
Thoughts of love feel me with dread
Don't let anyone near
Hold no one dear
They only bring a tear
Walking away
Never to stay
Staying alone
Cold my heart has grown
No love shown
Days come and go
Before I know
So goes another year
So grows my fear
Cold is the ground on which I sleep
Sometimes I unconsciously weep
Sitting in the night
Looking towards the light
Invisible in plain sight
Wishing I was someone
Feeling done
Waiting for my time
Come some rhyme
Life
The strife
The battlefield within
Those without sin
Stand in my shoes
Feels my blues
Inside my mind
No quiet is there to find
Life in rewind
Conversations from the past
Days going by so fast
Fighting yourself all you've lost
The true you pays the cost
The pain inside
From which you cannot hide
Where the pain does abide
Long into the night
You huddle close to the light
Seeking it's heat
Where are my frozen feet
Watching ,wishing for the day
To make it's way
Then warms your soul
Make a new goal
Make it through the day
Find your own way
No one will ever stay
Makes one old
My youth I sold
This ol man you see
That's who I be
Not asking for a thing
Owning only what I bring
Lonely is this road
No one to help with my load
Do I care
Do I even dare
Now, let's be fair
I am someone you cannot even see
That's who I be
Longing to be free
My passion is grief desperation
Heart ache I reel
Heartbreak I feel
Engaged in in thoughts romancing
Broken up heart collapsing
She told me goodbye
I'm not her guy
I began to cry
Why
I was blended, intended all amended
I thought
I've beaten my beating heart she thrown out
I crave torrid thoughts
She told me goodbye
fantastic faults thoughts of love you treated me like a dog tied me up outside repeat again I'm not ,
your man
Not even a friend
I was offended
This intended unattended
I was hurt embedded and bewildered
Why, oh why

If aliens visited Earth today
They'd be shocked and totally saddened
That we haven't yet made it past infancy
Silly wars we haven't abandoned
Still haven't learned the secret
As to why we humans exist
If we think it's man's inalienable right
There's a fact we've totally missed
Nobody owes us a thing in this world
Up to us to follow the right path
With thoughts of love for every being
Against wars and its terrible wrath
If aliens visited Earth today
They'd be saddened and feel such pain
Thousands of years we've inhabited Earth
The ills that plague us are the same
We're the aliens right here on Earth
Haven't yet discovered the secret
As they fly away you can hear them say
We give up, you guys can keep it!

Reminisce

I look back today and reminisce
Of sixty-nine and our first kiss
It was your birthday twenty-one
In celebration, just for fun
We partied at the old La Scene
The dance floor flashing red and green
Our friends, all worked at KSC
Including, you guessed it, you and me
I asked if you would like to dance
No thoughts of love or just romance
No idea for my mind to roam
You had an infant child at home
I'd just returned, been off to war
Newly divorced, back on the floor
You then, were married, to another
A lying cheater, not some other
It was a slow song, I held you tight
Somehow, some way, it felt so right
At the end, I dipped you south
And kissed you squarely on the mouth
There were no tongues to interfere
And then I whispered in your ear
Happy Birthday twenty-one
This dance, with you, was so much fun
When that party night did end
Had no idea, I'd kissed, my life's best friend
That by November, we'd be as one
I'd be with you, 'til life was done
The season Spring, when we first met
That first kiss, I'll not forget
Nor can forget your cheating spouse
Who led to love within our house
Was fifty-three long years ago
No better life, I'd ever know
You passed this year, tears came like rain
I would gladly do it all again
Like fingers, lovely birch tree shadows play
on virgin snow like hands upon a sheet;
so bright the moon, it seems like light of day,
yet stars among the forest's members peek.
And ... while my love lies pleasantly at rest,
I dream awake and contemplate my muse,
enraptured by this scene on winter's breast,
where thoughts are drawn and peacefully diffused
.
So now, I look upon the face of time
and all my years of life become but one.
In timelessness I feel my spirits climb,
where thoughts of love and life can laugh and run.
Now I am left at peace and free to be
There lost within the moon's tranquility.
English Sonnet
Taken our future, our life, our money, our time.
Taken all the things that make life fine.
Taken and will continue every day until we are lost completely.
Life in the day was sweet, and we had so much to be thankful for, like plenty of love and good times.
Taken our thoughts of love and made them turn to hate, with each passing day, we get more and more shocked.
Now everything is changing, making many be lost and taken to places we are shocked.
May our future turn bright, and may all the negative be washed away, we pray for things to be okay.
Lifting prayers to God, today and always.

Through it all you held me and have grown me into maturity

Valentine's Day is a special time to share my thoughts of love
I am so glad that You chose me years ago to be thine
Joy fills my heart when I think about You and Your love
The sacrifice that You made for me long ago so that
I might live in abundance of grace and sweet love
Red paints the picture of the sacrifice given
A love that can't be explained in human
Terms of understanding now or ever

The Lamb
Slain
We were once a pair of flying, floating, diving doves
Warming on wintry days under weathered wooden eaves
We swayed and swirled with ecstatic, electric pleasure.
In synchronized steps to the rising and lilting measure,
We meandered down meadows, gathering magnolia flowers
We roamed and rambled, resting under roomy bowers
We watched life’s swirling and twirling ebb and flow
We waited eager to grab life’s evanescent, ethereal glow
We never knew arrows sting or sorrow’s depth
Each merry morn, for us, was love’s lovely rebirth
We walked close to paths celestial and supernal
And lived and dallied in thoughts of love eternal
But how soon I lost the rhyme n’ rhythm of life
Dropped into a weary world with worries rife
Became a bent, broken reed far beyond repair
With no songs sung to be tuned or played ever
I had no clue why you had so hastily and stealthily left me
I found myself drifting and drowning in a dreary sea
I have been under despondent delusion and deep despair
Thought that our love was cracked and wrecked beyond all repair
Until you let me know what had transpired behind the scene
And told, you still love me and look longingly to make me your queen
To make everything a sweet surprise for me and for everyone,
You went to a far forlorn land for a living, but had none
On false charges, got detained and delayed in a refugee camp
Where you had access to none, was taunted and treated like a tramp
Now that you have a decent job and can stand on your feet
You would come to take me as your wife and would soon retreat
Now I count my days and weave dreams on dreams
Of the time you will come to darn the torn and tattered seams
When you proudly proclaim once more in my attentive ear
You are my devout darling, my all time legitimate lover
Each wayside flower brings to me your long lost, lovelorn face
The wind swayed lilacs and lilies reflect your gorgeous grace
On sordid silent nights, as the odor of your body and hair
Comes winging and wafting, for a while, I feel you are near
