I am my own hero
I am my own love
Existing, in my own little oasis
Through the low and high tides,
I remain afloat
Treading, with the most minute strength
My solitude, is sanctuary
My isolation, is home sweet home
My beginning…
My end…
All I got,
Is me
So until I am the recipient of my, supporting cast,
Until I am granted another love,
Until company, becomes my residence,
Sometimes…
Some days…
All I got,
Is me
Stay because I love you,
Play not with my heart
for it will surely break.
Don’t walk away from me,
Never leave me in the dark,
Nor cause me pain and ache.
I can never let you go
for I can’t live without you here,
I really want you by my side.
My world will stop turning
If I will be all alone
Sailing against the tide.
Remember the solemn promise
That we both uttered in faith,
Showing that our love is true.
Stand by me till the very end,
Taking my hand, my dear,
Stay because I love you.

What have I done for someone today?
Am I willing to go out of my way?
What makes me think I am so hot?
There is nothing, no there is notnot!
Did I thank God, just to be alive?
Or am I just full of selfish jive?
Have I called my friend?
Or is my elbow too lazy to bend?
What did I do today to make this country better?
Or just complain and write nasty letters?
When will I get, that I am not all that?
Just a poetess, penning in a pretty hat!
Did I write a nice note to a poet friend?
Those that stand by me till the very end?

Stand by Me
No matter what life sends to us
Be it tomorrow or today,
I can accept whatever comes
If you just stand by me, I pray.
Togetherness brings courage, hope,
You feel my strength and I feel yours…
When days are dark, no light to see
I know you will find open doors.
Please stand by me no matter what,
And let me know you surely would
Do as I would in your support
If bad times overtake the good.
And I will never be afraid
In knowing that you’ll always be
The one I lean on through my days...
Please, darling, always stand by me.

When I think of you dearest Catie, I feel a sister’s love,
A love that's true, unblemished, sent from God above.
You have shown how much I mean to you,
By the way you care and the things you do.
No matter how difficult the task I face,
You stand by me each challenge embrace.
You have helped me when times were difficult,
When my heart was under the enemy's assault.
Across the miles our spirits blend and flourish,
A smoothie of love and compassion to nourish.
When I think of you, I know I am truly blessed,
When it comes to friends, God sent me the very best.
You inspire me to let God direct all my ways,
to follow where he leads, each and every day.
When I'm down and life has me feeling low,
I know I've got a friend, somewhere to go.
Your friendship always strengthens and cheers me,
inspiring me to be the very best friend I can be.
Joy ~ your lovingkindness is never amiss,
in my heart I will always call you, 'Sis.'
