That Blessed Door

That Blessed Door

O the rain...the rain...the falling rain
that fell and fell and fell again
keeping you from my door...O my door...that blessed door!

O the sunset...the sunset...the carnelian sunsets
how I long to hold them in my hand...so when you are blue...so blue
so deep dark blue...you can come to me
and I will open my hand so
you can wonder...O the wonder...wide open wonder
Xanthus yellows and amber golds streaming
from my palm...my palm...my humble palm
and so you will become immortal
O if only I could keep you there
...you...only you swathed in light and warmth
safe...and sound...close to me forever
You who I am lost to...the vessel-ed seas

O how I long for the sea...O the sea...the sparkling sea
in its emerald greens and topaz hues
it's passions, powers …a relentless muse
I long to place it in my heart...
my heart...O my a thousand times broken heart
so the pieces can wash away and I can float free
into the wind...O the wind...the wetted whipping winds that billow the sheets hung in my yard
whispering wild and wondrous things to dreaded demons
washing them away with the rain
...the rain...the falling rain that fell and fell and fell again
keeping you from my door...O my door...that blessed door that opened
to your face -one cold crisp morn...
So blessed by God ...O My God...My Gorgeous God!
if only I could hold you in my soul…O my soul …my sodden soul
that I would not get so often lost in my shadows ...O the shadows
my small and tall...wide and slanting shadows and the darkness
...O the darkness...the black coal darkness
that chases me down alleyways of night and telling taunt me under the slivered moon...
O the moon...my beautiful mindful midnight moon...my crescent and my full moon
O my love ...my love....my eternal love
if only I could sprinkle you like confetti...upon the earth
and every life
O life...the very thing life...the breathe that enters that which wasn't and so then is till cradled in death
Death....O death...O damned-able death!
if only you were not so draped in confession that I must pray
I pray...O how I pray that the vastness...the vastness...the great and cosmic-ian vastness beyond is more splendid still than Earth...
Our Earth...our blessed wondrous Earth
perfect hungry sad beaten tarnished dirtied Earth...O MY EARTH
...how I love you!

Whispering Wings

      Amethyst shades dazzle her mysteriousness
hiding black secrets in vulnerable mellows
though recognized in the forgotten marshes
she's said to possess dark onyx powers.
She smiles at lost passersby in the red valley
aware of the myths bubbling beneath wet soil
and they disappear in unexplored forests
seemingly safer than her uncharted evil mind
every full moon augments her fragrance they say
her Carmen blooms to entrap innocent souls.

A thousand false alarms wrapped in assumptions
for they'd never know she's a trampled magnolia
tattered spirits in frayed rags was all she had
dried oceans of scarlet tears in enclaves of fears
humanity died on a full moon night under heavy breaths
her weakened screams muted with lustful arms
blurred visions of a forced conviction in blood
her faint shrieks died in this swamp of tragedies
till her blood froze beneath slumbering snow.

Her burning spirit simmered mauve mists
slimy seeds sprouted the dirty green marshes
spring bloomed her courage to recollect storms
crushed to sprinkle colors on heavenly topanga
diamonds in her mind shimmer as she laughs
sending ripples of valor in perturbed oceans
embracing her flaws she sings a folk melody
trances of whispers blended in mellow symphony
legends of crimson valley float with her flute
a goddess calming oppressed souls to breathe
they've heard stories of sapphires burning
splashing colors of freedom and kindness
but all they see on drooping moonless nights
her pious caricature coming alive in dark
magenta petals blooming in layered fog of storms
turning mauve then scarlet glittering ruby
spreading wings from green marshes perfumed flowers
on elevators of courage to save scarred souls
infant butterflies arise in lilac hues of whispering hopes.

How to Catch a Witch

In the heart of the forest, where shadows creep,
Where whispers of darkness bind all in sleep,
A tale unfolds, of a much-feared witch,
With eyes like the void and a malevolent twitch.

By the edge of the village, where children dare not play,
The elders recall what the old tomes say:
"To catch a witch, you must be brave,
And venture where the lost souls wave."

Gather 'round, young hearts of night,
With flickering candles that hold back the fright,
Listen closely to the words that bind,
For the witch, dear friends, is not far behind.

First, find a mirror, cracked and worn,
Reflects all your fears, where shadows are born.
At midnight's stroke, let your courage ignite,
For it's said she appears, in the pale silver light.

Mix salt with the ashes from last summer's fire,
Sprinkle it gently, let courage inspire.
For witches are drawn by the scent of despair,
But salt binds the spirits, keeps evil aware.

Next, weave a wreath of thorny vines,
Crimson and tangled, with signs of the times.
Place it upon your door with care,
For only the foolish would dare to compare.

Gather some friends, with hearts full of thrill,
For the witch feasts on fear, on dread, and on chill.
Hold hands in a circle, chant low and slow,
"Come forth from the darkness, oh spirit of woe."

If the air turns thick, if the shadows conspire,
If the howl of the wind begins to grow higher,
Know that she's coming, you'll sense her near,
With a laugh that could chill even the bravest of deer.

But do not be frightened, stand firm, stand tall,
For you’ve called her forth, now heed to the call.
With courage entwined and a dappled fright,
Face the dark force with all of your might.

And if you should glimpse her, with warts and with claws,
With a grin sharp as knives and a rancid breath’s jaws,
Do not look away, hold your gaze steady and true,
For witches can vanish, if they see fear in you.

As dawn paints the sky with a whisper of gold,
Wrap her in silver, let her secrets unfold.
In shadows she lingers, but power you'll find,
For wits and the brave can leave her behind.

So, heed this advice, young hearts of the night,
For the witch is a puzzle wrapped tight in your fright.
With a mixture of courage and wisdom so bright,
You'll catch her but remember: never leave out the light.

The Mountain of Hope

He stood at the foot of the hill and gazed at her watching from her window sill with the night light shining in her face and particles of hope running all over the place. Her bulging eyes circle the contours of the deep spilling oil from the bottom of the well onto the village street and the night pays its own sacrifice.

Oh, mountain of hope you have the remedy for my soul, mountain of hope come and rest with me before I grow old. I can feel the vibration in the clouds and I can see the deity standing on top of the mountain in a golden shawl with hands stretch out reaching towards the Pyramid floating in the sky. I know that I have to make that journey but the path to the sea is full of debris and the roads that emerge from the back are blocked.

Build me a castle on top of the sea where my soul will know no misery build me a castle on top of the sea where I can escape from the rigorous journey; that is only way out and you can attempt it if you have no doubt.

The mountain of hope is on the other side of the sea, the mountain of hope will solidify your dignity. Take the remains of those that died tragically in the street and sprinkle it in front of the castle in the deep; light a candle and say a silent prayer for them and for the couple that fell off the bed, their remains are in a bottle and their last wish was to let in float in the deep among the aquatic family.

Time passes quickly and they are coming, the weather is constantly changing and heavens are glowing; thousands of them stand in the desert gazing at the skies above them something is happening up there and the earth is responding down here.

Lights are flashing all around and a rocket is sailing across the city, where it will land nobody knows, but it will move what mind cannot measure and blow up what the spirit cannot understand and it explode in a distant land and courage will keep them strong.

The mountain of hope is shifting, the mountain of hope is singing they have broken through gate and occupy a spot-on top of the mountain.

Destiny has led them to that place because the mountain of hope knows no race, each one has a place and they will live there until the rest their days. The mountain of hope is the secret to their soul, pitch your tent on top of the mountain before the sun goes down, the mountain of hope is where it all began .

Dew Drops

Thrill knowledge with the desire to spread
Ideals across heads like grains of sand
Sprinkle little rays of brightness
Into cups full of vanilla ice-cream
If the sun doesn’t sparkle
Then there is no one to blame
But one’s own eyes
Blind to the legacy that showcases it’s prize in the middle of the day
If the moon’s enchanting lullabies don’t soothe the soul
Open up the heart and let winds
Change the currents and ease the turmoil
Tealeaves soak in small kettles over the stove
Passionate inferno and a stream of serenity
Measured into china cups and a sugar lump in each
To put into a smile and a twinkle of the eye
Do the world a favor and breathe between bamboo shoots and bowls of rice
While Time runs his hand over the strings on the guitar
And plays Life a love song
Time is not eternally handsome or young
Life is not always bearing silk and jewels
But the hourglass keeps flowing and love grows despite the looks and pearls
Arpeggios play slowly while dusk draws further away and it’s another day
I could hold your hand and run forever through lanes of cherry blossoms
Racing towards storms of crimson flora that from a hurricane would be shamed
Falling down as I open my heart and let them rest in memoirs
Whispering secrets and thoughts that take a lifetime to say
But a second to realize
Mysteries never really bothered me
If everything was known then why should I blink
To renew tears for sorrow and tears of laughter
I’d love to know most of it but I’ll be fine if I die without knowing it at all
As long as I know how it feels to live then I’ll be fine
Molecular Biology and Genetic evolution and all terms fade
From textbooks and minds
Awakening dreams and aspire to devote themselves to dew drops
Disciples of a flawed world
Defects are perfect to judge the worth
Of perfection
Inside endless worlds there lies just a simple dew drop
Prisms reflect giving ideas of complex
Intricate weavings and deeper then deep thoughts
Everything to you has to be a little more then less
But less is maybe exactly what your looking for
Despite riches and greed infiltrating peace
I have more wealth in a glitter of an star
Then in a stock bond
Laugh it up and respire
To expire and depart this life
With handfuls of luminous memories inside of balloons to help one float up
Into the Sky

Pouch Poetry 1-4

hereunder is served some poetry pouches full of love,
dear reader, stir them as you like,
if you wish you may crack them to pour into mouth,
you may smear them on your body
or you may sprinkle them on the ground
and then chant the name of god
with love and enjoyment

1.
the simplicity that rolls down
from the body of the sweet-meat
made by my mother

let it bring light
to our radish-red love-story

to hear or to notice
love
does not need
putting an ear on the wall
of the wall-street journal

the bottle could be filled
from the voice

when you go to fill the bottle
you would see that everywhere
the arrangement of picnic is ready

when i want to take part in that feast
my neighbours would drive me towards
the home

although i’ve spent all my life
running behind the love

2.
who’s won the muddy-battle
was yesterday’s politics

my addiction is actually to cater
the pouch of love
to develop all vitamins
and all bathrooms

people say you don’t love
the claps of the rats

yet i’ll come down
from the branch of a guava-tree
as a wave-of-shopping-mall
to the lake of your love

now i’ll jump out
from this computer screen
to register a kiss
on your lips

don't miss to applaud
by clapping the hands

3.
the heart is half-sunk
in the window

to some extent
in the lipstick too

on the dinner-plate
there is the feelings of the lord

that means
i’ve to be burnt more
i do agree

i would become
the sculpture of khajuraho

this happenings may have been
the right search for love

on either-side of which
a green is being worked out
by the nostalgic-cycle

whose colour-texture is very much harappa
which has too many geometric-memories

4.
an undertone is speaking
from within the solitude

now i’m in very much
distress

or i’m in love

i don’t know my love is what-for
may be that’s an arrangement only

so easily are those interactions
stitched with words

strenuous or effortless
in flight
initiated
with seclusion

but when in the sinking of the playfulness
i write the games of the street-charmers

the birds again and again
pierce the archery

thus becoming ashes
through travelling

in time-gaps still
the audacity to compose poems
on you

Premium Member To My Parents In Heaven

Years go by and memories dim and fade
Many, once so close and familiar are gone
Most of them have faded into oblivion
But those of whom one can never forget, stay on

Oh, dear Appa (Dad) and Amma (Mom) in Heaven
As the days of Christmas draw near, memories parade
Not in an orderly queue, but in a jumbled mass
And your loving faces, before our eyes, flash, and fade.

Leaving inerasable memories, you departed in silence.
When sick or unwell you always wrapped us up in prayer
Now you stay in a place untouched by stain or strain.
From there, you watch over us with tender care.

When festive days arrive, we miss you so badly
Though days and years pass, we feel you so near
But we know, you cannot come down from your sphere
To be with us on this day to give us cheer

So, transcending the boundaries of space and time
Our hearts rise high to your loving presence
Where you stay secure from all sadness and sorrow
And abide with your Heavenly Father in perpetual jubilance

We see you celebrating Christmas with Jesus
Along with the ethereal throng in great joy and mirth
Kneeling by the throne surrounded by angels and seraphs
Listening to their celestial choir, glorifying the holy birth

On this festive day, we send you warm Christmas wishes
Wrapped in memories of the times we were so deeply loved
With loads of gratitude for the warmth you gave to last a lifetime
With an assurance that we will live up to the ideals you avowed

Though gone, every day we feel your presence,
Especially when lonely and lost, unable to find our way.
At the rim of the far-flung sky, we see you as two stars,
Blazing our path with the trail of light you shed on our way!

Being together for long 57 years, as man and wife
Far from perfect, yet complementary they fared.
One’s weakness compensated by the other’s strength
One’s rigidness indemnified by the other’s light heartedness
Graced with a rich sprinkle of compassion and piety,
With their strict adherence to the lofty ideals of life,
They set the solid foundation for our value system.)
