Premium Member Houses of Pain

Sometimes, when it rains, it pours. The strong winds make the seas roar.

Fear causes us to run and close our doors. Sometimes, we are forced to crawl on all fours.

Life isn't always wrapped in 'the pretty, the proud, and the pure'. Sometimes, doubts race in, replacing areas that once stood sure.

Like the day I saw him turn to go to his home. I turned in behind him and followed him into his driveway. He was not aware of me following him until

we exited our vehicles. Old acquaintances, happy to see one another; we quickly exchanged warm greetings. In short order, he invited me in, and I said

"no". In short order, he said, "My wife left me in August". In short order, I then said, "Let's go inside". He was an old friend that I had not seen in quite

a long time. He felt comfortable with me, not needing to lie, "I'm just fine".
He spoke of misunderstandings, and the financial wows were evident. There

was so much pain that was easy to see. In short order, I could tell that he could not let it go, or just let it be. He could not wait to share it all with me.

It did not take long for me to feel my friend's hurt and misery. His kids, now all grown up; his wife, now has left him. He is now living all alone in their home

which, in short order, would soon be taken over by the bank. I was indeed experiencing with my friend a cold, dark, and empty house of pain. No matter

how badly I wanted and wished to do more, there simply was nothing more that I could do but listen, love, and pray. The rest was up to God who

specializes in rebuilding our houses of pain. Yes, I shall not forget that memorable day my friend and I sat and talked in his house of pain.

Premium Member PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO SEES US

January 5 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Genesis 16-18

Key Verse– Genesis 16:13 And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?

PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO SEES US

Praise be to God for seeing us in His:
Presence as the preserving Creator
Purpose as the protecting Saviour
Persistency as the perfecting Master

Genesis 16:1-11 Praise be to the Lord for hearing our affliction caused by
Burden, loaded with cares; backsliding, wayward midst sinfulness
Brokenness, feeling so guilty; barrenness, being restrained from fruit-bearing

Genesis 17:1-21 Praise be to the Almighty for enabling us to walk with Him according to:
Cause-He appeared to us.
Claim-He is with us.
Challenge-There is a need for us to be perfect.
Cost-He will multiply His exceeding grace unto us.
Covenant-He is our God forever.
Charge- He commands us to keep our contract with Him.
Cheer-He gives us an everlasting possession.

Genesis 18:14 Praise be to the Creator for responding to His question “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”
Obvious answer is “Of not not” since God’s schedule “at the time appointed” and “according to the time of life” is best.
Open assertion is “God always can” since His way is perfect.
Optimum affirmation is “God specializes in impossibilities” since His power is sovereign.

Genesis 18:33 Praise be to the Saviour for communing with us:
Appearing unto us in the plains of usual routine in the heat of the day,
assuring His favour, ascertaining His blessings, awakening us from doubts’ laughter, answering our queries, approving our choices, alerting us against bad motives, acknowledging us of our intercessions, allowing us to express our pleas, asking us to trust His heart, amending our wrong perspectives, attending to us with His mercy, addressing our needs and wants. Amen.

Thy train under the management of
Arttie Repertoire a A&R Sports management firm
which specializes in Controlling and Evaluation Services
During a sporting exhibition they were challenged
by two future performers. One had a great knack at speaking
and used his VOCab to get under the skin of the two performers..
The management team saw a profit in such spectacle.
Alot of musicains were there with some reporters.
A radio station broadcasted the news live on air.
A sportspod performance agency sorted out
the details.
Counter point and perspectives got people
talking. So many calls came into the radio station
that they had to call two Professional promoters to sort the detail. A Sports Firm called in
then and rivaled one of the promoters.
Welll by the end of the day nothing was settled.
In the morning on a TV show it started up again
with people accussing both promoters of being to chicken to represent the Sports Entertaining Monikers.
They said company profits have weakened the Sport and Gimmicky
promotions that threaten people are outragous and need
oversight and restriction.
Real Wrestling Guru's
called in and finally
one guy said he had been tired of not being allowed to help wrestling succeed.
That everything in Pro Wrestling was outta touch for the general public who often
don't watch or speak of wrestling due to it's inability to connect
to the versed audiences
They called for Billionaires to unite and support regional promoters to create an event that would challenged the modern day Specticle that divides America and her interst.
they called on an evnt that would take two men and call each champion and let them go head to head and create a One Worlds Championship for
the future of People who are interested or just like the divessity of peoples!

               A coloratura rises
                          from the suede-edged shape
                               as the gnarled grande dame
                                comes to light.. a vision
                            draped in sweeping evergreen
and a pale cape of kidskin haze -

                   a beguiling soprano in soft-
               focus fools the guileless sunrise
         with a diva’s deception --
for in the vaporous golden hour
    she can still be breathtaking

  the age of change
  is beclouded - softened
   in gray’s cashmere atmosphere
    where blending and bending of
       over-ripened perceptions
are smoothed with a dewy smudge..
               roughened boughs
                   and litter-fall is obscured --
                       unless, you get up close

                            harsh lines become artfully coy
                              in the bosom of the pearl mist;
                          a bedimmed dreamy blur of
                   Impressionism masks her reality
with the sleight of hand and a mockingbird’s aria

a day like other days

A day like other days

She, leaving the bus, had forgotten the umbrella
Strolls, her face is more African now
She has a walking stick, says it is for her balance
My love for her has grown over the years
I cannot think of the time we were apart before
We met twenty-two years ago.
We have Christmas Day here, but the next day we travel
a hospital in Lisbon that specializes in hip replacement
We will stay the night in the metropole and have a good meal.
look at things- for my part, like the grumpy North Korean leader
Then back to the Algarve with trees and big boulders
Tomorrow we are eating at a hotel that serves cabrito
sauté potatoes and a lot of sweets
since I`m driving only water for the journey
or tomato juice.
It is an ordeal for me to be among people, I don`t know
I will take 5 ml of Valium,
It will keep me calm until I simmer down and laugh at bad jokes
as told by an exhibitionist.
We can`t stay long since we are living in the morning
On a short walk outdoors, I saw my dog, who walked beside me
I bent down to pat her head, but she saw something
and ran into the bushes, I called her
name; Bambi came here when it dawned on me she had been dead for ten
years, and it made me think of my own mortality
but not in a gloomy way.
Sun, blue sky, and stillness, the hunters have gone
drinking in a cafe,  but the visit from Bambi perked me up
So did a cup of coffee when coming home
nothing out of the ordinary yet, I persist in dreaming of tomorrow

Thyroid Awarenesss Month

Thyroid Awareness Month September

Heard that they have removed my thyroid;
And at first really became quite annoyed;
Doctor took care;
No longer there;
Never do need any more and I can avoid.

James Thesarious Hilarious Horn
Retired Veteran and Poet
Bolivia, NC

My wife's best friend who is an RN,
just had a cancerous thyroid removed.
Might be from being exposed to x-ray
machines and neck not being protected.

She chose a doctor who specializes in
surgery. Would you want to select an
intern like Trump who has no experience
in that area to perform surgery on you?
Would you want a piper cub pilot to fly
the jet you are travelling on? How about
taking a college course being taught by
a high school dropout? Yet, we selected
Trump for President who has absolutely
no experience in government or law or
social services. They want us to give
him a chance when he is not willing to
give anyone else a chance. He never
made one positive comment about
police officer who drowned in Houston
trying to get to his job. He made fun of
a handicapped person in a wheel chair,
groped women, and intimidated a Gold
Star family and then bragged about it.
How am I supposed to respect this person
when he never gives anyone else any
respect except himself. 75% of the
population now does not approve of him.
Which part do you want to be in: lower
25% or upper 75% of population?
Now he is selling his hats. How about
giving us a break. Jim Horn

And So It Begin

And so it begins

I gladly give up the controls to my LORD and Savior.
Who better to do the driving than the one who created the world?
Who better to trust than the one who can raise the dead.
Our illusion of control can ease our minds until life throws us a curve and it always does.
The appearance of control is an illusions
any sense of control is an illusions
Remember the devil disguised himself as an angel of light.
He specializes in illusions, making us believes we can live our lives anyway we choose.
And we fall for it every time, just look at Eve in the Garden of Eden,
she fell for the devils trick and Adam with her,
the result kicked out of Paradise, and so it begins
We want complete control over our lives, and our destiny.
And anyone offering us a glimpse into that has our full attention, who’s got time for God and his way of life, not us.
We believe in what we want to believe.
We choose to believe in a lie rather than the truth.
no one lives like Jesus anyway, life is too short to let someone else do the driving.
take back the controls, for our lives, and our destiny. We become master of our own lives,
and so it begins
the beginning or the ending,,,

Is There Something That's Got You Down

Is there something that’s totally
consumed your mind?
“This something….” Takes up all of your time…

Does this “something” have your
 whole life consumed?
It’s almost like your life is “one big cartoon…”

This “something” has “stolen” any
 sense of “fulfillment.”
It’s kind of like an “addictive absorbent.”

This “something” is annoying.
 And “has you down.”
You’re not happy… There’s emptiness all around…

This is something for which freedom you really seek…
Even if it was for just one day of the week!

This “something” you may wish
 you had found the cure.
Deep down inside you still feel
 lonely and insecure…

This “something” isn’t too big for our God to solve.
Why not invite him in? And allow him to get involved?

This “something” that “doctor Jesus”
 specializes in.
The power to cleanse and make your life WHOLE again!

This is something Jesus wishes to do...
Before you were born, he said; “I LOVE YOU!”

This is something you won’t
 regret that you did..
As Christ alone can change
 the whole way you live!

The love and beauty he has…
He’s forever revealing…
Only He can give you a true
 purpose and meaning!

Premium Member Proud Oak

I feel proud of my heritage, love being an oak.
We are majestic, but not haughty.
Nurturing, but in an aloof, comfortable way.
I am a haven for robins, squirrels, and a multitude of bugs.

They wander my trunk, enjoying their day.
My crevices keep them safe from raindrops and storms.
I feel them hunker down, and I smile, glad I can help.
My parents reside in this forest, not far from me.

Dad has a multitude of limbs that have fallen.
One came down during a lightning strike last October.
We thought we would lose him, but only a left arm.
Mom is busy listening to the songbirds; she specializes in cardinals.

When a red flash darts past, I know he is heading toward mom.
Dad has had an infestation of crows lately; after the arm incident.
Their incessant caws drove me wild until I recruited a hoot owl.
The hoot owl frightened them away in record time.

We are part of a heritage of wonderful, nurturing, loving oaks.
Guardians of the forest, not far from a gurgling moving brook.
Nestled at our feet are trusting mushrooms, violets and moss.
Our specialty is meditation; please stop by and enjoy our silence.

Premium Member Prayer Request Or Answered Quest

Monitoring prayer requests
heart of mine anticipates answers
knowing that God constantly responds
believing He knows the best, perfectly indeed
by His love and grace, according to timetable sovereign
in His ways verily miraculous, mighty, merciful, mysterious…

Today’s prayer list offers no exemption to my spirit’s zest and zeal
since I wrote “special child’s responsive therapy toward functionality”
trusting the Lord Who always specializes in impossibilities via faith
beholding His hands working well, vanquishing doubts…

Yet, I am all the more amazed and truly surprised
and yes, puzzled to see the name of my son
not under the “Sick Brethren” section
but along “Thanksgiving” column...

The encoder made a mistake
I thought, but in the Saviour
it’s not an accident; thus
seeing it as blessing
I say, “Amen”
