An Ec Dote

All carbs on the table
hunger in the bank
More or less disabled
— nothing in the tank

**

To Simmer Or Boil

Poetry important
prose lesser so
Each word a keystone
to hold or let go

Nothing redundant
no fill in the stew
The meaning dependent
— on stirrings anew

**

Access Denied

Deaf to that ear
Blind to that eye
Numb to that touch
— senses denied

**

Morning Prayer

Conviction relighting
tomorrow’s lost candle ...
Through darkness and doubt
— indecision in flames

**

‘A View From The Bridge’

Lyrical playwright
tragedy staged
Actor’s harmonic
— script to betray

**

Uncomfortable Truth

I’m not
divorced ...
I’m just not married
— anymore

**

Piercing The Veil

Hearing it
clearly
Hearing it
plain
Goodbye
is what’s spoken
For all
— you can’t say

**

Crossing Over

Being different
to be different
creates more of the same

True genius
crossing over
redefining the game

When the road
takes a fork
most commonfolk choose

With the Sage
going straight
— indecision removed

**

Ergo Sum

Embracing
what’s presented
You become
— what you know

**

Fluid Contention

Whisky’s
for drinking
Water’s
— for fighting over

**

Reverso

So often ...
the dumber you act
— the smarter you think you are

**

To Forgive

You can’t rebuild
a friendship
by ignoring
what’s destroyed

You can’t forgive
injustice
with spite and hate
— deployed

**

Mea Culpability

You don’t have to
agree with me
But you’re responsible
— for your words

**

New Clothes For The Emperor

Sounding smart
over being smart
Dilettante’s pander
— with truth on parade

**

Rising Above

Consensus
on the chopping block
Contention
in the throes
King Solomon
denuding both
Dogmatic
— he bestows

Believe

Your running out of time, for you there may not be a tomorrow. The clock is ticking don't live your life in sorrow.

Pick yourself up and dust yourself down, you are the one who is wearing the crown. Never let people tell you what to do, don't listen to what they have to say, you are the one who is going to save the day

Your running out of time, for you there may not be a tomorrow. The clock is ticking don't live your life in sorrow.

Don't need no fancy clothes to make you who you are. No need for peoples approval don't need no prestige car. Don't need no pills they ain't gonna fix you be smart they will only addict you,

Life is an journey, all enjoy the ride, don't just walk the path, everybody glide. This is your story ride the wave to glory, don't need a gate keeper to guard your gate, don't leave your future down to fate.

Your running out of time, for you there may not be a tomorrow. The clock is ticking don't live your life in sorrow.
Don't spend your days just wishing, think of all the adventures you are already missing. Dreamers dream but doers do, you are the magic its all in you. Whatever it is you want to achieve, its all in you if you only believe.

Your running out of time, for you there may not be a tomorrow. The clock is ticking don't live your life in sorrow.

Premium Member Shooting Anxious Out To the Free

The silence, the still,
The nobodies nothing,
The secretive cold, calming death,
Where everyone read
And solved every problem
Under their buttoned up breath.

Under that silence, though,
Thoughts screamed out loud:
How? What? ….Why? When? … Reject!!
And: When did we even learn this stuff?
I never even liked that subject!

You see, exams were stress
Built upon hard,
Shooting anxious out to the free,
And everyone sat them
Throughout all our lives,
From prep right up to degree.

That’s when we learnt to cope,
To prepare the nerves,
We all learnt what it is to be smart,
Not marks on exams,
Rather everything that we love,
To value what’s close to our heart.

Premium Member Here Comes Steampunk Annie

If I was part machine, a steampunk woman, or a steampunk dog, or a steampunk cat,
I would choose to have a machine heart, so I could be less soft.
So my feelings would not get hurt so easily, so I could
Stop crying inside when people get mean and mad,
Or a tsunami kills a bunch of innocents.
I would also choose machine eyes – big round soft brown ones,
Because of the floaties I have in my older green and hazel eyes.
Floaties could not get into steampunk eyes, right?
I would choose bendable, new steampunk machine knees.
They would jump and summersault and do cartwheels and
Other stuff I can no longer do after tearing my ACL and
Meniscus which never got fixed, because it happened
At work and Workman’s Comp told me at my age,
Surgery would not be smart.
They would call me Steampunk Annie, and I would
Run up and down alleys, saving people from the robbers,
And the drug pushers, and I would kick the drug pushers
In their petootsies and make them cry
Because they would not have steampunk eyes
Or anything. I would rock the Steampunk
World with sass and vim, and be
The super hero I know I can be!

What have you two done,
I can see the age in your faces already,
oh you're so bold and smart
you silly and naive creatures,
sure, I sheltered you
kept you away from violence, jealousy, and pain,
do you have any idea what happens
in the raw evolution of life,
have you ever witnessed death
can you even conceive it, huh,
you're gonna feel the fire of rage
and the panic of embarrassment,
you're gonna wake in the frost of depression
and age into the shadows,
you're gonna fight for everything
that you need and love
and sometimes even that won't be enough
you and your children are going to hurt and be hurt
in ways that you can't believe,
my darlings, I love you,
but your natures have been changed
from roses to razors,
you will become grotesque gods unto yourselves,
however,
in the wilderness,
you will be able to create, to care, to love
but it will be so hard for you,
so hard to keep your hearts alive,
I'll be with you always,
your eyes are open to judgment now,
go on to the other side...

Go For It

Life is a dangerous struggle
Full of inconsistencies, challenges and pains
Life is not fair even to the fair skinned
The dark skinned are not faring better either
In everyone's backyard a little rain must drop
Whatever be your lot, set your goals and go for it.

In life, even the rich also cry
The poor in pains and agonies cries ceaselessly
The middle class have no problems 'cause they never existed
The orphans on the street go bare footed and hungry
Everyone is plagued by this turbulent journey called life
Whatever be your lot, set your goals and go for it.

Life is an endless and unpleasant adventure
Ending in one phase and continues in another phase
Beggers beg and no one gives to them
Widows cry and no one hears their voice
Everyone is caught up in this crazy web called life
Whatever be your lot, set your goals and go for it

In life, the religious are not the righteous
The righteous looks rough and rugged
Unnoticed because they have no class
For long we have been in this turmoil called life
And it has promised to continue unabated, no end at sight
Whatever happens, set your goals and go for it

The smart acts smartly by running away
They cross the sea, the Mediterranean sea
Unfortunately, you can't run away from life
Run away from it here and you will meet it there
Even though we're here, I know we'll soon be there
Only if we can set our goals and go for it

Life is everywhere, has no friends, has no foes
Life rewards, reproved and reprimands
Everyone is lotted opportunities in life
And it's their responsibility to take them
The faithful pray while the unfaithful prey
Whatever you do, set your goals and go for it

Life has no end, life has no beginning
Life is an omen, the omen never lies
Life keeps everyone busy on their own lane
Though some lanes are fast, some are slow
But ultimately every vehicle gets to its destination
Only if we can just set our goals and go for it

Life cares for no one, Life is hostile
Life is an excruciating and toilsome lot
Imperfect Life preaches perfection
Unfortunately, no one needs perfection
We're all trapped in this vicious cycle called Life
Whatever be your lot, set your goals and go for it

Professional Psychology

I can see it in your eyes
your brain ticks over
search supplies
the lie with fall cover
Because mother always used to say be aware of those around you
their reaction to your actions giving clues how to act with them

so I did but it didn’t flick the impulse switch off
appearing distant as if I don’t look
assured I wasn’t tell me off believing I wasn’t
yell at me too need to look already was

now I looked hard saw what I shouldn’t
suddenly impulse takes control
I look so quickly at lying eyes behold
dishonesty or truth the 2 sights sold

see through whilst my impulse confuse
actions speech diverting you
insults words no filter just blurt
yet within all this I still observe

every week my psychology observed
experts spoke to my parents helped me learn
conversations of why I don’t concentrate and learn

adhd gave me selective interests
psychology one where calories invest
I was impressed my hyper mind never rests
find focus and psychology progressed
disguised by impulse so natural
paying attention looking as though I wasn’t at all

made me realise I’m unreadable
and it confuses so learnt to use this tool
random strange so you can’t work out my brain
I'm looking insane whilst I calculate game

focus on situations
knowing their intentions
what motivated seeing their options
string the circumstances
how and what is their rewarding destination to pace on
leave no chances I'm ahead
stop them became so good tease and seem close no problem

make them a fool
you think I’m cruel
avoiding a brawl
make them look small,
them target me retardently,
but I’m weird cus I get psychology
so I fight physical now psycho probably,
but if men didn’t challenge my alpha status
I would live normally,
it’s them but you blame me not their insecurities.

I was 7 or 8 when I first learnt psychology
smart people only use it in defense you see
If I see scum manipulate for selfish gain
I beat them at their own game

Grown up

What do you want to be
When you grow up?
Today it’s a doctor,
Yesterday, a chemist,
Last week, a singer.
It doesn’t matter
Because at eight,
You can be anything.

What are you going to be
When you grow up?
Now I say a professor,
Because I want to sound smart,
And really,
It doesn’t matter
Because at twelve,
You can change your mind.

What will your major be
When you grow up?
I hesitate, because I don’t know.
My friends do,
And somehow, I missed the memo.
But now it matters
Because at sixteen,
You should have a plan.

Who are you going to be
Now that you’re grown up?
And it hits me that “grown up”
Was never something I thought I would achieve.
Someday, somewhere, someone
And it’s all that matters
Because at twenty,
Grown up is just a child’s game.

Vanity Upon Vanity

Vanity upon vanity
This is for the ones
With no soul
The ones so greedy and selfish
The ones that are power intoxicated
The ones heartless
The ones with the symbols of destruction
Remember we are all together
In this big mighty prison
Dont forget you are still
flesh bones and blood
You are never better than the rest
Yes you are not different from evil
The world doesn't belong to you
We are all children of mother earth
So spare me this big plans of yours
Spare us the torture of your lies
You think you are smart cos
You deceiving the world to your enrichment
You forgot you can't live forever
Your story will always be called
at the end of your existence
Vanity upon vanity

Vanity upon vanity
This is for the oppressor
The ones who is the curse of bitterness
The ones who is behind our deformities
The ones that never want the stability
Of humanity
The ones so high without morals
What will it profit you to kill to gain
You have crushed alot of people to
An early grave yard
Too many names are gone just for your existence
How can we qualify evil on our era
So my pen bleeds for this ones
Whose aim never bring peace to our domain
I know you are not God
I understand that you all will die one day
I can see that in a short distance from now
Your shadows will exist no more
So what will be your legacy
Who will cry for this ones
Remember everything you live for
Will leave you one day
And your story will be called
At the end of your existence
Vanity upon vanity

Let Me Live

Let me live
I want to live again
Cos shadows are shadows
When life is real
Who will cover my shame
When am empty
Will I be blown away
Like I never exist
Who will write my story
So I want to live again
And if you love me
Let me live

Let me live
I don't live to be just
Smart
Yet I wish to live wisely
In an insane world
I wonder if am empty
What will be my worth
I have to live again
If am living now so
Let me live

Let me live
Life could be defined
In any way
Life could be calculated
With any formula
Yet life is life
And I am a life
In life
Am an existent of an
Existence
I bear a fruit to life so
Let me live
