Grappling with parenthood over the years.
Battling and facing my responsibility fears.
Celebrations and failures leading to tears.
Many moving parts like out of sync gears.
But the universe said that we get a take two.
Another chance to build family with baby new.
After a few weeks of trying to make this life.
Amazing what a husband can do with his wife.
Guess who stepped up right into this room?
A positive prego test result in a big kaboom.
Inside the belly is kid #2 plus maybe #3.
In the ultrasound we will soon get to see.
Our great son will finally get to be a brother.
With a sibling so they can love one another.
To grow and learn together and bring us joy.
Joining the family as a playmate for our boy.
In the days since I wrote the previous lines.
We’ve checked out the kiddo several times.
Hearing the heartbeat and seeing them grow.
With each phase human features better show.
First looking like a shrimp and then a seaturtle.
Now doing womb workouts or jumping hurdle.
Taking mommy’s energy, really wiping her out.
Can often get so frustrating it makes us shout.
But we’re looking at the long game and ready.
Knowing it’s ok our emotions will not be steady.
There will be fights and some arguments too.
Because we want the best for our child # two.
My heart stopped beating, such a softer sin.
I close my eyes, I want to leave my body.
I can take a blade to my wrist now.
Let it bleed and take the red for what it’s worth.
Hope the smile on my face doesn’t show pain.
I’m feeling drained somehow.
I think I lost my final fight.
My hearts froze like the weather; so cold, so sad.
Can someone please just tell me that I’m enough.
We close our eyes and pray that it gets better but I’m over this.
My problems too tall and I’m too short.
Got the devil on my back.
The demons that I fight, they be coming for my soul.
I hope I don’t go to hell for killing myself.
Come out come out! Where ever you are!
Those of you hiding in the crowd know
who you are.
Come out come out! wherever you are!
those of you scared to speak out loud
in front of a crowd know who you are!
Those of you suffering from stage fright.
Know who you are.
Just the thought of everybody looking at you.
The fear of public speaking has you terrified.
You’re like a deer in a room full of mountain lions.
Some of you say you’re not scared.
You just don’t feel like coming up on stage
Or stand up and speak in the middle
of a classroom. But we know better.
If you had a choice between stepping up to the mic
or kissing the ugliest person on the planet.
We know some of you would pucker up…
When it comes to public speaking, some of you would prefer
to be in the coffin then to give the eulogy at the funeral.
Some of you are scared that
You’re going to embarrass yourself
or that something is going to go wrong,
or that you’ll look stupid.
Well never fear, people want to hear you do well.
They want to see you succeed,
when you speak your mind.
Well that day will come
when you are ready.
That’s when you’ll show
your quiet defiance and determination.
You will be ready to dance
like Nobody is watching.
Sing like no one is listening,
and speak like you’re standing
in an empty room.
If this sounds crazy, then you will learn
that most poets aren’t wrapped too tight.
And that our creative elevators
go up to the top floor.
Where we are in good company.
Because if you haven’t heard,
there are some people who are crazy,
and then there are some people
who are good and crazy.
So which one are you?
I know I’m just another
stating above and better
trying to place letters
to a beat with base and treble
as my only form of credit
to impress so they give merit
Offer opportunity
tasked to write a tune to see
If I can light a room with ease
as ideas flow from the trap
and the feet start tapping
revealing I’m a river real
delivering skill up hill but still
separated from others simple
by a large margin
weightless starving
but alike hair of Marge Simpson
a marvelous carving to marvel
If I could take this time and stretch it a millennium
to maximise my chance progressing
wisdom and wise a continuum
I'd palladium like an Olympian
a mastermind surpassed the master class
that passed their class on to mine
giving worth the opportunity
hard work on every tune and beat
down enemies with many beats
losing myself in a smooth
choosing to move
me a viral arrival
feeding eyeballs like bibles
without the libel by the eyeful
or preach of survival
just rhyme pour thrive and recycle
I’d take titles from rivals
appear vital and entitled
as I advise and supply those see me an idol
a wise honest mindful of my all
cus rhyme I’m alive for
seven twenty fours
the spring soars
like sea shores
my drug my needle
the bug I breathe for
once a monster under my bed
I said
move
come sleep next to me nude
it suits me to include
don't know if a girl or a dude
until the bump grew
now exclusive
a mortgage pet minion and two kids
towards 8 billion to make millions
on which I be wishing a wish to squish
lost chances none can miss hit must fit
and this is it
ambition wanting winning
now I assert peak perk and show thirst
all pert stood alert for my serving
destined to live rhyme unnerved
to my time I give my word
Here this lovely young lady
looks behind her in hope
would love to be someone's capture
in her dreams wishing to elope
Samantha wishes for real love
someone to sweep her off her feet
to show kindness and affection
telling her 'I love you' on every street
Her beauty is so delicately pure
lovely slim figure so easy on eye
such a beautiful summery dress
so attractive for any decent guy
Holding her parasol to protect
as the sun burns upon her back
Samantha's thoughts turn to romance
wishing still wishing love be on track
This beau is in the romance mood
waiting for it to come her way
as she turns to look on the blue sea
her emotions tell her I need to pray!
Let us paint this world of fun.
Pink,mauve and baby blue...
Let us change the world goes round.
Too many burdens I let you witness.
A broken soul I let you embrace.
I am sorry if I let you suffer.
The pain of seeing me in despair.
This time, honey let me show you the love.
the happiness it brings, how it tickles your heart.
Let us go to park and celebrate this life.
Life that's full of reasons to laugh about.
Smile little darling, I will stay by your side.
I will be your superhero and never let you be harmed.
In my heart I only treasure the love that never fades.
I dedicate even my last breath to keep you happy and safe.
Who’s that fellow that came, you know, what’s his name?
The one who was quite underweight
He came round last week, with a zit on his cheek
And he mended and painted our gate
Come on, you should know it was you had to show
Him the things that were needing repair
He was ever so lean and not very clean
And was toothless with bright ginger hair
He had no teeth at all he was ever so tall
And was scrawny and lanky and long
He’d no meat on his frame but was awfully game
And for someone so skinny, quite strong
His mum had dementia he’d mislaid his denture
He came and he did a good job
He was gummy and thin with an odd kind of grin
Oh yes! It was thin gummy Bob

No matter what you think or do
God has the final word you see
Because He's your Creator
And He decides what's best for you.
So no matter what road in your
Life you choose to take.
God has the final word in the very end
No matter what decision you just make.
But at the end of your day
Don't blame God when things go
Wrong or when nothing for you is working right
After all is not His fault and this you know.
Sometimes things are inclined to go bad
And often times the best doesn't always show.
All we need to face things as they often come
And take responsibilities when things go wrong.
Acting in a responsible manner
Will help you do something about it.
As you face and try to solve the problem.
Keep your head high and never quit.
At the end of your every day
Focus and keep your head high
Pick yourself up and seek God
You know you can make it thru!
Velvet Mentors
You do not know who mine are.
Let's say they are a chorus of human angels.
Who helped me believe that no dream was too far,
No mountain, for any reason, was too high to climb,
No wish could that I could not make come true.
Without them, I never would have gotten far.
But stood like many, waiting for life to happen.
I do not pace nor wait, I have a wish list.
As I accomplish one goal, where is that next mountain?
Mentors have moved on passed away.
Some I of mine are on TV everyday.
Writers, actors, ministers that helped me grow.
Their message, quite simple:
"Panagiota, get on with the show."
I queried, "How can I pay you back?
"Do good to others, always! "
Whilst mediation of them just now,
I penned this most humble creation.
With their help and divinations!
