I Love You More

I still remember the first time I told you those little words that meant more than anything in world
I still remind you as much as I can that I was the first to say it
In the end though none of it matters because this was real not like before, when it felt whole but really had a few holes just waiting for me to fall through
That’s not to say love is perfectly whole, but when its real there are no pot holes

I fell in the abyss and crawled through hell and now I see my name on your mail

It was all worth it but can’t say I want more; pain is a damage that can be repaired

Next to you I feel my pain being repaired

With you I feel heaven on earth, the stars are in our backyard, and it’s 2020 but I know

Sings: “every little thing is gonna be alright…”

I love you but I’m not perfect so I say I love you more

I want the best for you so I’m working to be my best self

Trying to give you everything but don’t know the definition of everything

Guess what I’m trying to say is even when I don’t say it or show it, I still want
my queen to be treated like royalty

But in order to get the spoils you have to go to war

So, I’ll fight for our love until forever ends and until then

After you say I love you, I’ll say

p.s. I love you more…
