Hidden Lies

Tell them what they want to hear never fear say it with good cheer, Won’t hurt their heart if they see you smile; keep inside what in light of day you really want to say. Friend’s mates and all who care won’t shed a drop not a single tear, You think they’ll never know cos you'll not show the deceit you hold close; Know them as those you hold dear always thinking they’ll always be near. Laughing for if they knew you’ll soon be alone, Stories you say hoping never to repeat for if you do The truth be no longer kept. Forever fearing will it be you or them that turn and walk; for by those words You’ve been caught. Shameful scorn truth less deceit yet the claim is made, “Friends we are till the end.”
