That Special Ever Lasting Date

In our own little space we chat and even flirt

Have great conversations some would call digging in the dirt

Some times honesty is very hard to find

But I am an open book won't you come pick my mind

Mistakes I have made just as many if not more then most

But I won't let them haunt me like some evil ghost

Instead from each single one I have learned

Where we're at today we worked hard to earn

All my life for that special someone I continue to look

It's not near as easy as the words in the book

Nice and gentle is the only way to go

Just over night the real person will never show

Not interested at all in what happened yesterday

Nor am I ready to Sweep you off your feet and take you away

The interest is more in going out and having fun

If their not my Best Friend then they can't be the one

For now it's nice to just hang out and wait

Hoping maybe we find that Special Ever Lasting Date!
