My life is no longer my own
Controlled by forces out of my control
Why did he hurt me, why did he cheat.
I break down and cry...
So many tears...so many tears.
I yell why me, why again, please tell me
All I hear is silence and the lightly blowing wind.
I dream of a place high and far away
A place where peace lives
Where hurt cannot touch me.
Tired of this life..death I embrace...
Weak you think me
Strong you think of you
You speak as though you have lived my tribulations..
And experienced what I've been through.
I am not weak, I am stronger then you.
I embrace the darkness
Hunger for the feel of deaths kiss
Knowing peace will soon be mine atlast.
You on the other hand, cry and mourn in self pity and fear
When your death is advancing near, soon to come to pass.
My only fear the only one... can God forgive me..can He understand,
I do not wish to disobey him and commit mortal sin
I hope He can understand this pain this sadness of this life
It's just to much for me to live.
Years of pain, millions of tears
One weight to many on my shoulders to bear
I am ready to pass over to whatever place lies beyond
Darkness envelopes me, my body still and so very cold
From above I see myself, I smile
I say rest is now mine, pain is no more... love is no more!!!

In youth's frantic clutches
Addicted to vapid touches
Love children spawned in shaded hutches
Existing on euphoric highs, painless crutches
In middle age, lust morphed into longing
Spent body in static sphere now belonging
Neglected prodigy seeking shelter in availing arms
Licentious, pretentious friends fled in swarms
Sins of youth girdle my deserted gates
Promiscuous flings my esteem deflates
Rebellious children their fealty abrogate
Venal lovers rue my chaster estate
In deep morass, my withered soul equivocates
Bridging divide of self pity, butressing hope inflates
Then residual pain with due penance heart conflates
Seeking self forgiveness; from others proffering rebates
Healing balm of inner resolve soothes empty soul
To wayward children unconditional love tendered not in
part but whole
To fair weather friends only distant compassion will dole
Forthrightly, to bring uplifting, sharing friends into my
foal
I am done trying
to win the favors of love
I am done beseeching
the dame fortune
I am done pleading
with the lady luck
I am done kowtowing to
the dictates of unyielding time
I am done holding on
to a faltering hope
I am done taking
refuge in my faith
I am done wallowing
in self-pity and guilt
I am done wearing
my heart on my sleeve
I am done dreaming dreams!
Lolling in the lap
of comfort and luxury
was not meant to be
Nor meant for me is
the reassuring arms of love
Or the trusting hugs of a friend;
In life's long and arduous journey,
Oh, where did I take the wrong turn?
Was I not the one
with the highest aspirations
and the sturdiest will?
Why then have I given up so easily?
Why did I let myself down?
I look in the mirror
And it's simply not me!
The one looking back at me
is an old and haggard man
With crow's-feet and cobwebs
crisscrossing his face,
Light shinning on his
bald head is where
a lion's mane once held sway,
Instead of a winsome smile
He now wears a weary scowl;
I look into his myopic eyes
And remorsefully I ask,
What say you if we
just call it a day?"

February 24 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Numbers 31-32
Key Verse – Numbers 31:16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.
HEART THAT CONFESSES TRESPASS AGAINST THE LORD
We confess our heart’s trespass against the Lord midst our dishonesty
Being wearied in our sins, making us empty
While sojourning in worldliness’ bounty…
He alone can pull us from futility toward spiritual maturity.
We confess our heart’s trespass against the Lord midst our loneliness
Being weak in our envy-caused bitterness
While experiencing self-pity in barrenness…
He alone can grab us from worthlessness toward ministry-effectiveness.
We confess our heart’s trespass against the Lord midst our frustrated
Being unsuccessful in our goal-direction
While lamenting along loss-grief’s position…
He alone can drive us from failure’s torture toward victorious restoration.
We confess our heart’s trespass against the Lord midst our arrogance
Being self-sufficient in our abundance
While drowning into disobedience-endurance…
He alone can snatch us from earthly craving toward divine performance.
We confess our heart’s trespass against the Lord midst our backsliding
Being guilty in our Christian standing
While oppressed by materialistic humanistic enfolding…
He alone can bring us from transgressions’ prison toward His holiness-abiding.
We confess our heart’s trespass against the Lord midst our hypocrisy
Being afflicted in our prayer-deficiency
While pretending to be strong in carnal persistency…
He alone can carry us away from fleshly fervency toward His might’s mercy.
We confess our heart’s trespass against the Lord midst our sorrow
Being sad in our servanthood which is just a show
While trying hard to chase after vain success and its shadow…
He alone can transform us from shallow devotion toward commitment glow.

These are Jack's commitments: to his body
exercise, stretch, heal if possible and prepare for death.
To his sons: love and respect and teach, learn
to be aware of the effects of his anger or forever be an angry man.
To his wife: in equal portions serenity and uncertainty,
the early years, the middle years, and the final years.
To the community: to treat it as distinct unknowable individuals
much like heavenly spirits but also dangerous animals.
To poetry, "religious in its contemplation
of experience under the eye of eternity,
in the realm of the gift and the realm of the sacred:"
his individual experiment gone well or wrong.
To his student: not to hurt for gain or inflict more pain
than stimulates growth. Both of them are students
of each other, the periodic table and the civil war.
Other than that, expect to forget and be forgotten.
To his friends who are merely friendly: lonely
inexorably, working hard and playing hard without self-pity
severe about the law and believing in the death penalty
they're the men you'll want in your foxhole warriors at the gate.
To himself by which I mean mind or something hidden, intestate:
a quiet place and time to think deeply or simply
but not too easily to quiet the questions, to know
his bones and the particles of sunlight they stilled and slowed.
A storm is brewing.
Heavy water laden clouds rise thickly,
the darkening sun plunges quickly
behind deep purple mountains,
hiding the gentle moonlight
that normally lights my erratic way.
I meander absentminded
around a maze of mountain paths,
suffering a terrible purgatory.
For the storm is raging outside and inside of me.
Outside electric serpents flash across the dark skies.
Inside is an aching heart of old desires.
No tears flow as I think of you.
Foul fog screens my feelings,
suffocates righteous repentance,
murders my murky sinful soul.
Deep inside me
emotions mingle, then surge,
and dissipate in thin air.
By midnight the summer storm
has already well and truly broken.
Ophidian lightning blaze in the dark skies,
Crashing thunder booms and echoes.
Rain falls in heavy drops.
I am well and truly soaked.
Water, the sign of redemption enslaves me,
but I am not baptized anew,
instead I wallow in self pity.
There is no hope for me,
or is there? Let the storm decide!
“In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.” Psalm 18:6 of the King James Bible
Frustration obscures hope, dimming victory glow
gripping heart with failure angst toward worthlessness’ plunge
tortured by self-pity while wallowing in agonizing oppressive dilemma…
My soul loathes this miserable condition I resolve to overcome.
When unfinished goals bring distress gloom
my time management skill is challenged along multi-tasking expertise
locking me inside frustration-cell where guilt feasting mockingly welcomes.
With feeling of futility incessantly engulfing my achievement-oriented mind
the urge to accomplish compels me more rigorously
suffocating me midst anticipated frustration-anxiety.
Now, I surrender my own frustration pangs of afflicting debility
to God, my loving Saviour Who grants triumph, assuring bliss
enabling me to conquer by faith
personal infirmities to serve jubilantly for His honour.

he used to think of himself as a partner father and professional guy
yet inside of himself he was lonely despondent isolated from himself
a doer controller and protagonist without personal truth or emotion
as a child he was taught that feelings would only diminish success
whereas rational reflection would gain power and knowledge
became a lover without honest attachment a passionate denier of togetherness
fell apart got depressed and sought the solution in alcohol and stupor
until carnage wreckage dissolution and grief became a questionable friend
even with his new soulmate twin flame companion and confidant
life became burdensome as he fulfilled the providence of desperate void
something had to give for shackles contempt agony and self-pity to dissolve
for the past be forgiven the present to engage with and a future to happen
egocide to master his overpowering shadows became the only feasible option
with nowhere to go but inside he prayed for serenity and harmonious peace
he would not have found a favourable outcome without friends and support
accepting help therefore turned out to be liberating humbling and joyous
today he lives a simple life in quietude not easy but with the promise of recovery
as he trudges the road of happy destiny in meditation one step at a time
I am alone
I am bored
I had enough
I want more
Why can't I live without you
Why can't I forget loving you
I run through the night streets
I pick fights just to get beat
You think I won't forgive you
If it was only that simple to do
For what you can't seem to see
Is I can't... never forgive me
I have no friends
I have no family
I party without pity
Being in a glazed faze
Hell is all I raise
I am alone
I am bored
I had enough
I want more
Promises spoken only to deceive
Promises broken I foolishly believed
Nothing last forever nothing stays the same
True love ends when only one remains
People change People leave
People hate People bleed
People hurt People pain
Never never change
I am alone
I am bored
I had enough
I want more
I miss you terribly
I miss you miserably
I miss you more and more
Turn off the light
Turn on the night
Let me dwell in
My self pity skin
You think I won't forgive you
If it was only that simple to do
For what you can't seem to see
Is I can't...never forgive me
Once there was a haughty queen
who decided to spend more time on
her own:
here, there, she flew everywhere
followed by a lovesick drone --
She said: "little man, you're not
in my plan...please find a poem
all your own!"
Himself, no good at gathering nectar...after
thought said, "The heck with her!"
Wasting no time, instead of wallowing
in self-pity, moved to the big city, wrote
a book on Hive Theory: how drones are
mere sex objects, sleepless, eyes bleary
With profits from his book, opened a bank
offering no penalty early liquidity -- finally, some
respect for drones, bee dandies feeling hopeless
and weary. Up till then having little other choice
but to serve the whims of Her majesty, often royally
finicky, they began investing their nest-eggs of sweets
for retirement in our protagonist's very successful,
totally liberating, high dividend paying -- novel
Savings And Drone.
